Tweet of the Day: Rep. Steve Stockman files resolution to arrest Lois Lerner...
There is no doubt Rep. Steve Stockman has the balls, but Boehner will have to find a pair to make this happen.

Boehner fails to find a pair: Rules out House arresting Lois Lerner...
This is the least shocking story of the day. Boehner doesn't have the balls to have the House arrest Lois Lerner for contempt and Eric Holder will never do it. That leaves the contempt vote as a toothless show vote to placate the base. Boehner can go back to working on his tan and golf game now.

The House has held Lois Lerner in contempt, but it won’t use its power to place the former IRS official under arrest, Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said on Sunday.
Under a precedent affirmed by the Supreme Court, each chamber of Congress can authorize its sergeant-at-arms to detain individuals it holds in contempt. But Boehner said on "Fox News Sunday" that he has no interest in doing that with Lerner, whom the House last week voted to hold in contempt over her refusal to testify about her role in the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups.
“I’m not sure we want to go down that path,” Boehner said. “It’s never been used,” he said of the provision allowing Congress to arrest individuals and place them in the Capitol jail. The Senate has in fact used that power, but not in the last 80 years. “I’m not sure that it’s an appropriate way to go about this,” Boehner said.

Venezuela’s socialist government starts arresting businessmen...
Barack Obama is most envious...
Nov 14 (Reuters) – Venezuela’s socialist government has arrested more than 100 “bourgeois” businessmen in a crackdown on alleged price-gouging at hundreds of shops and companies since the weekend, President Nicolas Maduro said on Thursday.
“They are barbaric, these capitalist parasites!” Maduro thundered in the latest of his lengthy daily speeches. “We have more than 100 of the bourgeoisie behind bars at the moment.”
The successor to the late Hugo Chavez also said his government was preparing a law to limit Venezuelan businesses’ profits to between 15 percent and 30 percent.
Officials say unscrupulous companies have been hiking prices of electronics and other goods more than 1,000 percent. Critics say failed socialist economic policies and restricted access to foreign currency are behind Venezuela’s runaway inflation.
“Goodyear has to lower its prices even more, 15 percent is not enough, the inspectors have go there straightaway,” Maduro said in his evening address, sending officials to check local operations of the U.S.-based tire manufacturer.

Ex-Sanford police chief claims he received political pressure to arrest Zimmerman...
The entire arrest and trial of George Zimmerman has been a political effort to appease race-baiters like Al Sharpton.
(CNN) -- The George Zimmerman investigation was hijacked "in a number of ways" by outside forces, said the former police chief of Sanford, Florida.
Ex-Sanford police chief Bill Lee actually received a death threat for no arresting Zimmerman.
Bill Lee, who testified Monday in Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial, told CNN's George Howell in an exclusive interview that he felt pressure from city officials to arrest Zimmerman to placate the public rather than as a matter of justice."It was (relayed) to me that they just wanted an arrest. They didn't care if it got dismissed later," he said. "You don't do that."When Sanford police arrived on the scene on February 26, 2012, after Zimmerman fatally shot unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, they conducted a "sound" investigation, and the evidence provided no probable cause to arrest Zimmerman at the scene, he said.It had nothing to do with Florida's controversial "Stand Your Ground" law, he said; from an investigative standpoint, it was purely a matter of self-defense.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi won’t be House majority leader in the next Congress, but she did get a bit of consolation Wednesday — police arrested a Wine Country transient who allegedly admitted to burglarizing her Napa County vacation home, once on election eve and again on election day.
Sheriff’s deputies caught Kevin Michael Hagan, 21, during another burglary Wednesday outside St. Helena and found a watch they say was stolen from Pelosi’s home on Zinfandel Lane, authorities said.

An arrest warrant has been issued in Sweden for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. He has been accused of rape and sexual harassment by two women in Sweden.
The Swedish Prosecution Authority released a statement on Saturday morning in which it revealed that the warrant was based on “one report of rape and one report of harassment. A warrant has been put out for the person's arrest since there is a risk that he could hamper the investigation.”

Video: Former ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis Led Away In Handcuffs
It is not the criminal indictment you were hoping to see. Bertha Lewis was arrested at a pro-illegal immigrant rally in NYC Monday. ACORN had no respect for our laws. It is not surprising Bertha Lewis is pro-illegal. The sight of her in handcuffs does stir wishful thinking.
