In hopes of limiting the number of votes Mr. Bush could gain from military voters, Ronald A. Klain and other Gore advisers assigned Mr. Herron to draft a detailed memorandum for Gore lawyers to use in challenging ballots that did not comply with the law.
Bush advisers point to the Herron memorandum as evidence of how hard the Democrats were willing to fight to exclude military votes. ''We knew that there was going to be a systematic effort by the Gore folks to not count military absentee ballots despite the claims that they were uttering at the time about count every vote,'' said Benjamin L. Ginsberg, the Bush campaign's chief counsel. ''We knew they were important ballots, they knew they were important ballots. We wanted all the ballots to count. They wanted the ballots not to count.''
In some ways, the Gore strategy paid off, as canvassing boards rejected hundreds of military votes that violated the law.

President Obama has finally found a czar he doesn't need anymore. The choice of which czar to get rid of is very telling. President Obama has eliminated his "Transparency Czar."

The Washington Examiner reported:

President Obama has abolished the position in his White House dedicated to transparency and shunted those duties into the portfolio of a partisan ex-lobbyist who is openly antagonistic to the notion of disclosure by government and politicians.

Obama transferred "ethics czar" Norm Eisen to the Czech Republic to serve as U.S. ambassador.

WH Tries to Ban Fox News from Press Pool Interviews with Pay Czar

Fox News is an official member of the press pool. They help pay the costs. When the White House tried to ban them from a pool interview with pay czar Kenneth Feinberg, the rest of the members refused to do the interview and the White House was forced to back down.

President Obama's safe schools czar, Kevin Jennings, failed to report a case of child molestation several years ago. He even encouraged the affair between a 15 year old boy and an older man. Where does he get this twisted worldview from? His inspiration was NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association) supporter Harry Hay.

FCC's Diversity Czar: 'White People' Need to be Forced to 'Step Down'

In a recently discovered audio, the FCC's diversity Czar, Mark Lloyd, said that and much more. Not only is he anti-white people, he isn't very concerned about freedom of speech.

How did Van Jones get past the White House vetting process?

It was easy. According to the White House, there wasn't one.

Van Jones, the Obama green jobs czar who resigned shortly after midnight Sunday, did not fill out the exhaustive questionnaire White House officials required of every Cabinet-level secretary and deputy-secretary position.

An administration official said special advisers to the president, or czars, are not required to fill out the questionnaire that runs 7 pages and contains 63 questions.

The entire questionnaire, the official said, is reserved for appointees who must win Senate confirmation.

Let's put this in perspective. President Obama put Anthony Van Jones in charge of overseeing the spending of $30 billion in stimulus money and didn't even have him fill out a simple questionnaire? Many McDonald's do a background check on managers.

Obama names Yet Another Czar

The newest czar to be added to the Obama collection is Ron Bloom. He will be the new "czar" for manufacturing. Ron Bloom was the former "car czar."

Washington -- President Barack Obama will announce Monday that he's tapping his chief auto adviser to try to revitalize the struggling U.S. manufacturing sector.

Ron Bloom will assume the title of senior counselor for manufacturing policy in addition to his role as senior adviser on the president's task force on the automotive industry.

Obama said in a statement late Sunday that the manufacturing sector expanded in August for the first time in 18 months and had the highest monthly output in two years.

Bloom doesn't have any manufacturing experience, but he is in big labor's pocket.

Prior to joining the Steelworkers, Bloom was one of the founding partners of Keilin and Bloom, an investment banking firm, where he was involved in numerous transactions on behalf of the Steelworkers, the Auto Workers, the Teamsters, the Air Line Pilots Association and other unions.

Before founding Keilin and Bloom, Bloom was a vice president at the investment banking firm of Lazard Freres & Co. where he specialized in analyzing, structuring and raising financing for union-led employee-ownership transactions.

After weeks of ignoring the controversy surrounding President Obama's Green Jobs Czar Anthiny Van Jones, the New York Times has reported the resignation and called it a "victory for Republicans." The NYT buried the article on page A17. Here is part of their article.
