Woman too stupid to get $9 birth control at Target while in college wants to run for Congress...

Sandra Fluke, who was too stupid to get $9 a month birth control at Target while in college, wants to run for Congress. Well, she is a democrat...

Fluke:
"Forty percent of the female students at Georgetown Law reported to us that they struggled financially as a result of this policy," regarding the Catholic university's policy of not covering birth control. "Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school."

Via CBS Local:
Sandra Fluke, the women’s rights activist who became a lightning rod in a national discussion about contraception, said she is “strongly considering” a run for Henry Waxman’s soon-to-be vacant House seat.
Waxman, 74, a longtime liberal California Democrat, described by friends and foes alike as one of the most prolific congresspersons of modern times, announced Thursday that he would retire at the end of the legislative session.
In a statement released after Waxman’s announcement, the 32-year-old Fluke said, “I’m flattered that I’m being discussed as a potential candidate, especially for Rep. Waxman’s seat, considering his incredible legacy. A number of folks I respect very deeply have reached out today and encouraged me to run. I am strongly considering running. I’ll be making my decision soon.”
Waxman served in Congress for 40 years.

Unbelievable: Sandra Fluke Nominated For Time’s Person Of The Year Award…

Sandra Fluke has been nominated for TIME’s Person of the Year 2012 for being too stupid to find her way to Target and get birth control for $9 a month.
The daughter of a conservative Christian pastor, Sandra Fluke, 31, became a women’s-rights activist in college and continued her advocacy as a law student at Georgetown. After she complained about being denied a chance to testify at a Republican-run House hearing on insurance coverage for birth control, Rush Limbaugh called Fluke a “slut.” Democrats and many Republicans reacted with outrage, and the left made Limbaugh’s slur Exhibit A in what they called a GOP “war on women.” Fluke, meanwhile, weathered the attention with poise and maturity and emerged as a political celebrity. Democrats gave her a national-convention speaking slot as part of their push to make reproductive rights a central issue in the 2012 presidential campaign — one that helped Barack Obama trounce Mitt Romney among single women on Election Day.

Sandra Fluke crowd sizes increase...pulls in 40 students in Florida

What a joke...

FLORIDA — Women’s rights activist Sandra Fluke made an appearance on Turlington Plaza on Wednesday to encourage students to utilize early voting for next week’s presidential election.
Fluke stopped at UF as part of her “It’s On You” Youth Early Vote Campus Outreach tour.
About 40 students gathered by the potato statue to listen.
“Florida is so critical to this election,” Fluke said in her speech.
She received national attention after a congressional controversy regarding whether insurance should include a contraception mandate. Talk show host Rush Limbaugh then called her a “slut” on air.
On Wednesday, Fluke mentioned that President Barack Obama doubled investment in Pell Grants, gave families with college students a tuition tax credit and fought to keep student loan rates low.
Perhaps Sandra Fluke should put on one of Code Pink's vagina suits...

Amusing: GOP Congressman Joe Walsh tells Sandra Fluke to "Get a Job"

Sandra Fluke needs to move back into her parents basement and stare at the faded Obama poster on the wall...

Via Newsbusters:
Illinois Republican Congressman Joe Walsh had some harsh words for free contraception advocate Sandra Fluke Saturday.
Appearing at a campaign stop in Addison, Illinois, the Tea Partier said, “A 31-32 year old law student who’s been a student for life, who gets up there in front of a national audience and tells the American people, ‘I want America to pay for my contraceptives.’ You’re kidding me. Go get a job”

Sandra Fluke claims Paul Ryan would “would allow pregnant women to die preventable deaths in our emergency rooms,”

Sandra Fluke couldn't be less credible is she had worn a giant vagina suit during the speechhttp://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/05/sandra-fluke-ryan-would-allow-women-to-die-in-emergency-rooms/.
Pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke accused Paul Ryan of supporting a bill that “would allow pregnant women to die preventable deaths in our emergency rooms,” an attack on Ryan’s pro-life views.

Speaking to the Democratic National Convention, Fluke pushed her pro-abortion views saying Mitt Romney and Ryan’s pro-life views would be bad for the country.

“In that America, your new president could be a man who stands by when a public figure tries to silence a private citizen with hateful slurs. Who won’t stand up to the slurs, or to any of the extreme, bigoted voices in his own party,” she claimed. “It would be an America in which you have a new vice president who co-sponsored a bill that would allow pregnant women to die preventable deaths in our emergency rooms.

Payback: Carbonite CEO admits dropping Limbaugh during Sandra Fluke controversy hurt sales growth

Rush Limbaugh's comments on the Sandra Fluke controversy caused Carbonite to join the boycott and suddenly drop sponsorship of Rush Limbaugh's radio show. The first full quarter results after the boycott are now in and it's not good. Carbonite failed to meet Wall Street's expectation and their stock price dropped 15% in one day!

Via Legal Insurrection:

(3:10) CEO Friend: ”There were four factor that contributed to this slower growth.  First, in March we stopped working with one of our top producing radio endorsers.  While we recently contracted with three new radio personalities, it takes 3-6 months to ramp up new radio hosts so we probably won’t see the full effect of this for another quarter or two.”
(24:15) Q: “I guess I’m a little surprised that you were caught by surprise by the radio host change ’cause I know we’ve talked and I guess my impression was that it wouldn’t be that impactful but I guess it was quite impactful.
CEO Friend: “Yeah, I’d say it turned out to be a bigger issue than we had anticipated.  Because you know at the time there was a lot of noise, I mean we had a huge spike in web traffic around that time just because of all the interest in the whole subject. And it took close to a month for that to sort of die down.  And meanwhile our metrics were, we really couldn’t see what was going because there was so much noise around the website that we had no idea what the ultimate impact was going to be.  It turned out to be a bigger hole in our revenue than we had thought when we initially did this.  However, I don’t think there was any, I’m not regretful of the decision, I think things would have been worse had we not done that.
