Tim Pawlenty not interested in being Romney's VP? (Video)

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty:
I’ve indicated that I think I can best serve Romney in other ways. In particular, as a volunteer and surrogate speaker in places where he can’t go. I’ve encouraged people who asked this question in the campaign to look at other prospects.

Did Romney Buy Pawlenty's Endorsement?

Hmm...
(NRO)Tim Pawlenty may be receiving help in paying off a campaign debt (possibly as high as six figures) from the Romney campaign in exchange for his decision to endorse Romney, reports Politico.

Not surprisingly, Pawlenty did not cite that as one of the reasons he had endorsed Mitt Romney today in an interview this afternoon with Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

Pawlenty Throws in Towel

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty gives up his 2012 presidential dreams.

AP reported:

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty dropped out of the race for the GOP presidential nomination on Sunday, hours after finishing a disappointing third in the Iowa straw poll.

“I wish it would have been different, but obviously the pathway forward for me doesn’t exist so we are going to end the campaign,” Pawlenty said on ABC’s “This Week” from Iowa.

Is Tim Pawlenty's Campaign Over?

After his poor showing in Iowa and the entry of heavyweight Texas Gov. Perry, Pawlenty has no chance.
CNN: Privately, though, his team was rooting for a first- or strong second-place finish at Ames to reassure supporters and donors, as well as the media, that his campaign was not stalled.
Immediately after the results were announced by Iowa GOP Chairman Matthew Strawn, there were murmurs among top Republicans that Pawlenty should consider leaving the presidential race.
“Pawlenty now goes through the stages of death in the next 24 hours,” said Republican strategist Alex Castellanos. “Denial. Can he stay in the race like John McCain? Anger. Pawlenty people start throwing people under the bus and start pointing fingers. And then reality. Can they raise the money to stay in this thing? And the answer is probably no. So what is left for Pawlenty? A graceful exit.” . . . Read More Here...

Flashback to 2006: Tim Pawlenty Praises the Individual Mandate (video)

Perhaps we should call Obamacare Obamalentycare. If enough GOP primary voters listen to this audio/video, Pawlenty's campaign is toast.

Tim Pawlenty Dodges Obamneycare Comment at GOP Debate (video)

On a Sunday talk show, Pawlenty called Obamacare Obamneycare in a reference to Mitt Romney signing Romnercare health care reform in Massachusetts. Tonight, he refused to got toe-to-toe with Romney on the issue. Is he spineless or trying to be nice? Personally, I think he should have taken Romney to the Obamaneycare woodshed.

Tim Pawlenty about Obama: "don’t you at least wonder what planet he’s from?

Where's the Birth Certificate?: The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) made it clear he is no "birther", but Obama's policies make him wonder "what planet he’s from?"

The Hill reported:
“I’m not one who questions the existence of the president’s birth certificate,” Pawlenty said.

The former Minnesota governor and possible 2012 Republican presidential candidate used that line as a set-up, though, to a larger jab at Obama.

“But when you listen to his policies, don’t you at least wonder what planet he’s from? On what planet do they create jobs by taxing the daylight out of people trying to grow jobs? On what planet do they try to reduce the deficit by spending even more? On what planet do they make healthcare better by putting bureaucrats in charge?” he said, according to prepared remarks.

Great Pawlenty Quotes from GOPAC Speech

Minnesota GOP Gov. Tim Pawlenty gave a great speech on Republican resurgence at the GOPAC convention last Friday. Here are some of his great lines.

From Politico:
“It appears that President Obama is making great progress on climate change, he is changing the political climate in the country back to Republican,”

“He went around the country last fall promising ‘change we can believe in,’ but now we see it’s about changing what we believe in,”

“Medicaid is essentially bankrupt, Medicare is essentially bankrupt, why the heck would we give the federal government
another entitlement program to manage?”

“The only thing growing faster than the federal deficit and debt is Chris Matthews’ man crush on Obama,”

According to Politico:
Pawlenty, who became vice chairman of the Republican Governors Association following South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford’s resignation as the group’s chair, projected GOP wins this fall in the Virginia and New Jersey gubernatorial races and anticipated those victories would spring board the party to success in 2010.
