If you think it's a good idea to #ProtectTransKids by making high school showers co-ed, you must be a 15 year-old boy. No sane adult would think this was a good idea, but we are talking about policies instituted by liberals.

AP) — Transgender students on Wednesday lost federal protections that allowed them to use school bathrooms and locker rooms matching their gender identities, as the Trump administration stepped into a long-simmering national debate.The administration came down on the side of states’ rights, lifting Obama-era federal guidelines that had been characterized by Republicans as an example of overreach.Without the Obama directive, it will be up to states and school districts to interpret federal anti-discrimination law and determine whether students should have access to restrooms in accordance with their expressed gender identity and not just their biological sex.“This is an issue best solved at the state and local level,” Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said. “Schools, communities and families can find – and in many cases have found – solutions that protect all students.”

The Obama administration is planning to issue a sweeping decree telling every public school district in the country to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms that match their gender identity, the New York Times reported on Thursday.
The letter to school districts that will go out on Friday describing what they should do to ensure that none of their students are discriminated against is signed by officials of the Justice Department and Education Department, according to the Times.
It does not have the force of law but contains an implicit threat that schools which do not abide by the Obama administration’s interpretation of the law could face lawsuits or a loss of federal aid, the newspaper said.

(Reuters) – Suspected Islamist militants hacked to death two people, including an editor of a transgender magazine, in the Bangladeshi capital on Monday, police said.
The attack came two days after a university professor was killed in a similar fashion on Saturday in an attack claimed by the Islamic State.
One of the victims, Julhas Mannan, ran a transgender magazine “Rupban”, a police official said, adding that three people came to their apartment in Dhaka posing as couriers and attacked them with sharp weapons.
Further details were not immediately available.
The Muslim-majority country has seen a surge in violent attacks over the past few months in which liberal activists, members of minority Muslim sects and other religious groups have been targeted.

Border Patrol agents and others operating under the umbrella of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) must now consider not only the sex of the criminal they are detaining, but the “gender identity” of the individual and how they feel and identify. The terms “illegal alien” or even “illegal immigrant” do not appear at all in a new 31-page instruction document. The new rules were published by CBP and according to the agency, “includes language on gender identity, which was not previously included in the individual component policies. Specifically, whenever feasible, officers and agents who conduct a search or are present at a medical examination must be of the same gender, gender identity, or declared gender as the individual being searched.”

Pentagon ready to accept transgenders in military...

So, do they get to decide which uniform they wear and which locker room they use? What could go wrong?  Pretty soon our military will be perfectly politically correct and incapable of effective combat.

Pentagon leaders are finalizing plans aimed at lifting the ban on transgender individuals in the military, with the goal of formally ending one of the last gender- or sexuality-based barriers to military service, senior U.S. officials told The Associated Press.
An announcement is expected this week, and the services would have six months to assess the impact of the change and work out the details, the officials said Monday. Military chiefs wanted time to methodically work through the legal, medical and administrative issues and develop training to ease any transition, and senior leaders believed six months would be sufficient.
During that time, transgender individuals would still not be able to join the military, but any decisions to force out those already serving would be referred to the Pentagon’s acting undersecretary for personnel, the officials said. One senior official said the goal was to avoid forcing any transgender service members to leave during that time.

Study: 0.3 percent of the total population is transgender

Why is the national media spending so much time on a what is likely a psychiatric disorder that only affects 0.3% of the population? It;s a liberal attempt to brainwash the public to the liberal medias worldview.

When Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, unveiled her new name, appearance and TV show last week, it shined a light on transgender Americans. But much about the community, such as its size, remains opaque.

The main reason is that the United States Census Bureau and other keepers of official records do not ask about gender identity. Also, gender identity can be fluid and hard to define in a multiple-choice list. There are now more than 50 gender options on Facebook, for instance.
Some researchers are also concerned that the number is undercounted because of a reluctance among some transgender people to discuss it with survey takers or signify it on a government form. In a study by the National Center for Transgender Equality and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, 71 percent of transgender people said they hid their gender or gender transition to try to avoid discrimination....

Mr. Gates of the Williams Institute, who wrote the paper, says his conclusion that 0.3 percent of the total population is transgender is only a rough estimate. The institute announced in March that it was part of a group undertaking a survey of 350,000 people, conducted by Gallup, to study the transgender population.

OSHA is pushing for trangenders in your restrooms

What does occupational safety have to do with transgenders and bathrooms? Nothing.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) isn’t just about hard hats and safer machinery anymore. The federal government agency charged with regulating workplace conditions has formed an “alliance” with a “national social justice advocacy organization for transgender people” primarily to promote gender-appropriate restroom access. The agreement, signed on April 27, is part of a larger OSHA program to partner with groups “committed to worker safety and health to prevent workplace fatalities, injuries, and illnesses.”
This particular alliance provides for the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) to “[r]eview, promote and disseminate the OSHA-developed bulletin of recommended best practices for restroom access for transgender workers.” In return, the NCTE will disseminate general OSHA information on a quarterly basis via its website or other method as well as provide OSHA representatives opportunities to speak at NCTE events.
The press release announcing the agreement notes:
A report released by NCTE and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force found that 55 percent of transgender people surveyed lost a job due to bias. Twenty-two percent of workers in the National Transgender Discrimination Survey reported that they were denied access to gender-appropriate restrooms on the job.

After a two hour hearing, a House panel Tuesday cleared legislation cast as “common sense” by proponents, but vocally opposed by the transgender community, which says it’s discriminatory.
The bill (HB 583) makes it a second-degree misdemeanor for someone to use a single-sex restroom if it does not match the gender on that person’s driver’s license or passport.
It has become the most contentious measure during the early parts of legislative session, with hours of testimony during its first two committee stops.
It is sponsored by state Rep. Frank Artiles, a Miami Republican, who says his top goal is public safety. He is specifically taking aim at a Miami-Dade County law that he says is overbroad, and will allow heterosexual men access to women’s bathrooms.

Planet Fitness and its transgender “no judgment zone” policy is reportedly resulting in gym membership cancellations by women concerned about their safety in locker rooms. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a Midland Planet Fitness center revoked a woman’s membership after she complained about an individual with male genitalia who identifies as a female, in the ladies locker room.
The Planet Fitness former member at the heart of the transgender policy controversy, Yvette Cormier, recently spoke to WNEM News about the incident. Cormier said she thought the individual in the Planet Fitness locker room was a man. After she went to the front desk at the gym to alert them about what she considered a startling incident and to complain, her membership was revoked.[…]

It’s a business that sells itself on being non-judgmental but Planet Fitness has allegedly revoked the membership of a woman for complaining. Yvette Cormier, a member at the Midland location, says she had no idea what that meant until a few days ago.
“I was stunned and shocked. He looked like a man.. He did not look like a woman,” Cormier said. Cormier is talking about a transgender woman who walked into the woman’s locker room while she was getting undressed. She says she couldn’t believe her eyes. “This is very unprofessional. This is very scary,” Cormier said.
Not knowing why the person was in the women’s locker room, Cormier said she immediately complained to the front desk and eventually to corporate offices.
“They told me the same thing, that he was allowed in there because that’s the sex he wants to be,” Cormier said.
Cormier said she understands that some men self-identify as women and some women self-identify as men, but said the person looked like a man and that caught her off guard. Cormier lost her membership for violating the company’s no judgement zone policy.

Change: Minnesota to eliminate differences in high school sports on the field or in locker rooms, bathrooms, and hotel rooms

Minnesotans are currently facing a fast and furious onslaught by the transgender lobby, which seems to be dictating policy to the Minnesota State High School League. The MSHSL decides policy for all extracurricular activities in public, private, religious, and home schools. It’s currently in the process of outlawing all sex distinctions in high-school sports. On December 4, it plans to install an athletic policy granting transgender students the choice to play on either boys’ or girls’ teams.
In this scheme, there would be no accounting for sex differences in high school sports on the field or in locker rooms, bathrooms, and hotel rooms. It forbids any camaraderie rooted in the biological reality of one’s sex, or any consideration of the reality of the opposite sex. In fact, to affirm that reality would basically be a crime. So the policy would ultimately abolish girls’ and boys’ sports alike.

Former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital: transgenderism is a “mental disorder”

Dr. Paul R. McHugh is obviously retiring.  Otherwise, liberals would run him out of the psychiatric profession.

Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital and its current Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry, said that transgenderism is a “mental disorder” that merits treatment, that sex change is “biologically impossible,” and that people who promote sexual reassignment surgery are collaborating with and promoting a mental disorder.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel open to idea of transgender troops

The military's main focus is defense and winning wars, not diversity. Our military leaders have lost focus of what is important.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Sunday he believes the military’s ban on transgender Americans serving in the armed forces “should be reviewed.”

While the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy was repealed in 2010, transgender individuals are still prohibited from serving.

In an interview with ABC’s “This Week,” Hagel said he’s “open” to reconsidering the ban.

“I do think it continually should be reviewed,” he told ABC’s Martha Raddatz. “I’m open to those assessments, because, again, I go back to the bottom line, every qualified American who wants to serve our country should have an opportunity if they fit the qualifications and can do it.”

Hagel said his biggest area concern with reforming the policy is being able to provide medical support to transgender troops, especially for those in what he called “austere locations.”

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a controversial bill into law Monday afternoon allowing the state’s transgender public school students to choose which bathrooms they use and whether they participate in boy or girl sports.
The law would cover the state’s 6.2 million elementary and high school kids in public schools.
Supporters say the law will help cut down on bullying against transgender students, The families of transgender students have been waging local battles with school districts around the country over what restrooms and locker rooms their children can use.
“Now, every transgender student in California will be able to get up in the morning knowing that when they go to school as their authentic self they will have the same fair chance at success as their classmates,” Masen Davis, Executive Director of Transgender Law Center said.
While California is the first state to pass a law of this magnitude, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Washington and Colorado have all adopted policies designed to protect transgendered pupils.

In the midst of cash-strapped Californians approving new taxes to prevent further cuts in essential state services, San Francisco health officials appear to have found the money to fund what they say is a much-needed service to residents living in the City by the Bay:
Sex changes.

The gender-switching surgeries are part of a comprehensive program for treating transgender people that the city’s Health Commission green-lighted on Tuesday and announced two days later. Backers say it will help ease the mental anguish of people who feel they are trapped in bodies of the wrong gender, but critics wonder why the taxpayers should foot the bill.

“Taxpayers cannot afford this, as there are unintended costs and unintended consequences unrelated to the actual surgery, such as their longer-term hormone treatment, psychology needs and other longer term health issues,” said Thomas Moyer, a City by the Bay resident and author of “A Conservative Survival Guide to San Francisco.”

Transgender Tries to Spin McDonald's Attack as a Hate Crime

22-year-old transgender Chrissy Lee Polis' attack story is evolving with the help of the mainstream media. It is now a hate crime or something.

(NY Daily News) — The transgender victim of a brutal beat-down at a Maryland McDonald’s broke her silence to call the attack a “hate crime,” and says it’s not the first time she’s been assaulted.

Chrissy Lee Polis told the Baltimore Sun on Saturday the incident, which was captured on video and posted online, has left her “afraid to go outside.”

“I want to cry, but I need to hold my head up,” she said, adding that she’s been beaten and sexually assaulted in the past because of her sexual identity.

Earlier Polis had this to say,

"They said, 'That's a dude, that's a dude and she's in the female bathroom,' " said Chrissy Lee Polis, 22, who said she stopped at the Rosedale restaurant to use the restroom. "They spit in my face."

22-year-old dudes should not go into a woman's bathroom with 14-year-old girl inside.
