Animal rights group PETA has sparked fury from a local sheriff by demanding that an Indiana man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and eating parts of her body receive a vegan diet while he is in custody, according to local media.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) sent a letter to Clark County Acting Sheriff Brian Meyer, encouraging him to provide a diet free of animal products for Joseph Oberhansley, reported the Jeffersonville News & Tribune.
Oberhansley, 33, is accused of breaking into the Jeffersonville home of ex-girlfriend Tammy Jo Blanton, 46, murdering her and abusing her corpse by eating parts of it. He was arrested on Sept.11 and arraigned on Monday. Jeffersonville is across the Ohio River from Louisville.

Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf has had to pull a campaign ad after it emerged that the actor vouching for his stint in the Peace Corps also appeared in a cannibal fetish film.

Democrat Tom Wolf's advertisement featured Alan Benyak, 50, sitting on the hood of a Jeep and talking about Wolf's time in India.

Benyak has many strings in his bow - he's an attorney who was a Democratic candidate for judge in Washington County, he served in the U.S. Army - and he's something of an actor.

However, his previous acting work differs wildly from the wholesome campaign ad for Wolf.

In 2013, Benyak played Mr Cannibal in a film 'torture porn' film called Breeding Farm.

IMDB decribes the film: 'After a night of partying, four friends are kidnapped by a mysterious man. The friends wake up in a basement, and realize they are part of something horrifying. A human breeding farm. They are to be milked, bred, and much, much worse.'

Police in Papua New Guinea have unearthed a ‘cannibal cult’ in the jungle thought to be responsible for the murders of seven suspected witch doctors.

The 29 cult members allegedly ate their victims' brains raw and made soup from their penises, according to police officials.

Madang Police Commander Anthony Wagambie said: “They don’t think they’ve done anything wrong; they admit what they’ve done openly.”

Wagambie said the suspected killers believed their victims practiced “sanguma”, or sorcery, and had allegedly been extorting money and demanding sex from poverty-stricken villagers for supernatural services.

The cult members are thought to have eaten the witch doctors’ organs in the belief that they would attain supernatural powers and become ‘bulletproof’. Keep on reading...

Disgusting: DNC Chair Kaine Compares Republicans to Cannibals

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Tim Kaine compared Republicans to the Donner Party. The Donners were a group of 19th-century American pioneers who turned to cannibalism.

"What we're seeing in the Republican Party is that they invited the Tea Party in and it's turning into the Donner Party, in some instances, because they're turning the energy and the ferocity against each other," said Kaine in response to a question by the Huffington Post, referring to the infamous group of 19th-century American pioneers who eventually had to turn to cannibalism to survive. He added that the divisions have given Democrats "some great opportunities in races that we wouldn't have absent the Tea Party candidates."

Kaine isn't even correct in the point he is trying to make. Tea Party candidates like Marco Rubio of Florida and Rand Paul of Kentucky are polling very well against their Democratic rivals.
