(AP)- Officers were called to Del Paso Heights around 6:30 p.m. Thursday after a passer-by reported that a man was lying on the ground and may have been assaulted, according to Sgt. Andrew Pettit. When they arrived, they found David Senk, 54, still lying there - but police say he wasn't the one who was assaulted.

Another man approached officers and accused Senk of taking two bites out of his 3-foot pet python, Pettit said.

Senk was arrested on suspicion of unlawfully maiming or mutilating a reptile and booked on $10,000 bail. Keep on reading...

Well, it wasn't a complete fail. He did succeed in killing himself.

(Reuters) - A man threw himself off the world's tallest building in Dubai, its developer said, plummeting to his death in the first suicide from Burj Khalifa tower.

The man, believed to be in his twenties and of South Asian background, jumped from the 147th floor of the 828-meter (2,717 feet) skyscraper and landed on a terrace on the 108th floor, local daily The National reported, but those details were not confirmed by the building's developer. More here.

(NY Daily News)- A 92-year-old woman is set to stand trial for allegedly killing her 98-year-old husband after more than 70 years of marriage.

Clara Tang is charged with stabbing and bludgeoning her wealthy husband to death in their home in Sydney, Australia last year, the Sun-Herald reported.

A rush on salt began in coastal cities in China on March 16. As of March 18, the trend has spread to many provinces in China, including regions that are not on the eastern seaboard. Soy sauce has also been sought after as a salt replacement. Many people think that the ocean is being contaminated due to the nuclear crisis in Japan, and that it is only a matter of time before salt becomes hazardous.

Mr. Li from Shaanxi Province told The Epoch Times that he didn't hear about the salt rush until March 17. Everyone was rushing to buy salt. He said his friends had called and said that salt prices in Baoji City had surged 1,000 percent, and were still going up.

But surgically enhanced Israeli model Orit Fox got more than she bargained for when the massive boa constrictor took objection to her over familiarity and reacted by biting into her breast.

However, it was the snake who came off worse because, while Ms Fox need a tetanus shot in hospital, the reptile later died from silicone poisoning.

Weird News: Woman Sneaks Monkey in Courthouse in Her Bra

An unidentified woman entered the Amherst County Courthouse on Thursday with a tiny marmoset hid in her bra. It was dressed in diapers and a pink and white dress.

(WSLS10)- Authorities said a woman entered the Amherst County Courthouse on Thursday morning with a tiny monkey tucked into her bra, dressed in diapers and a pink and white dress.

The unusual event occurred when the woman arrived for a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations court.

Officials said they had no idea the woman had the monkey until the she went into an office for a routine procedure to fill out court-related paperwork.

When the woman referred to a daughter, a puzzled official asked where the daughter was and the woman pulled the monkey out of her bra. Read more here.

Weird News: Man killed at cock fight by rooster

A California man bled to death after being stabbed in the leg by a rooster at a cock fight. The fighting "spur" attached to the rooster's leg severed a major artery.

LAMONT, Calif. -- The tables were turned at a California cockfight after a man was fatally stabbed in the leg by a sharp blade attached to one of the fighting birds, The Bakersfield Californian reported.

Jose Luis Ochoa, 35, was taken to a local hospital shortly after police responded to a reported cockfight last Sunday in Lamont, Calif., a town nine miles south-southeast of Bakersfield.

An autopsy revealed Wednesday that Ochoa's death was accidental and caused by an injury to his right calf.

"I have never seen this type of incident," Sgt. Martin King, a 24-year veteran, told the paper. But he noted that it was not surprising that Ochoa died since one of his major arteries had likely been severed. "People have been known to bleed out from those injuries if medical attention is not obtained immediately."

A man from Michigan died this morning after he jumped into Lake Michgan to retrieve his girlfriend's water bottle, officials said.

Michael Hilling, 19, of the 14400 block of Summer Meadow G 5 in Rock, Mich., was pronounced dead at 1:36 a.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

At 12:08 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a call of a person in the water at East Congress Parkway...
