GAO Test: 10 of 10 test Obamacare applicants were successful with counterfeit documentation...

The potential fraud could be billions.

Via ATR:
As part of its review, GAO tested application and enrollment controls on the federal exchange and two state exchanges (California and Kentucky). Ten fictitious applicants were created to test whether verification steps including validating an applicant’s Social Security number, verifying citizenship, and verifying household income were completed properly.
In order to test these controls, GAO’s test applications provided fraudulent documentation:
“For each of the 10 undercover applications where we obtained qualified health-plan coverage, the respective marketplace directed that our applicants submit supplementary documentation… we provided counterfeit follow-up documentation, such as fictitious Social Security cards with impossible Social Security numbers, for all 10 undercover applications.”
As the report notes, all ten applications remained enrolled on Obamacare even though fraudulent or insufficient documentation was provided:
“For all 10 of these undercover applications, we maintained subsidized coverage beyond the period during which applicants may file supporting documentation to resolve inconsistencies.”

Food stamp fraud...money sent to Yemen...

We need to increase the penalties for food stamp and welfare fraud.

Via AL Com
A couple of steaks shoplifted at a Gardendale Walmart three months ago led to the biggest food stamp fraud investigation in Jefferson County’s history, and launched 11 simultaneous raids this morning at convenience stores countywide.
Led by the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, teams of law enforcement officers met at 5 a.m. for a briefing and then fanned out across the county beginning at 6:50 a.m. The officers and agents were armed with 242 arrest warrants and plans to arrest 17 suspects.
All 17 suspects were in custody by mid-morning, and investigators already today have filed for forfeiture and condemnation of those 11 stores, which totals more than $1 million in assets.
“This is huge for us,” said Jefferson County District Attorney Brandon Falls.
The massive probe, dubbed Operation T-bone, targeted those they say have been cheating the food stamp system to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars and sending at least some of the profits via wire transfer to Yemen.[…]

Beer sales and food stamp receipt timing are related...

No. You can't buy beer with food stamps SNAP (Sounds so much better than food stamps, doesn't it?) benefits, but you can use the money you saved from buying food to buy beer. Of course, there is also the epidemic fraud in the program.

Via WISTV
When people get their food stamp benefits on the weekend, the sale of beer rises among by as much as 7 percent by those people who receive the benefits — that’s the conclusion of a study conducted by several professors at the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business and the University of Connecticut.
The study, called One More Saturday Night: Food Stamp Timing and Monthly Consumption Patterns, was done to “examine the relationship between the timing of food stamp receipt and consumption patterns.” John M. Gordainer and Orgula D. Ozturk were the USC researchers who worked with two colleagues from the University of Connecticut Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics on the study.
“Lots of people have looked at the timing of the distribution of food stamps and shopping behaviors,” Gordainer explains why they investigated this subject. “But we saw something strange with the shopping behavior on the weekends.”
The study found “purchases of beer are higher in months where food stamps are distributed on a Saturday or Sunday than in months where benefits are distributed during the week in food stamp eligible households."...

Louisiana dem encourages people to vote multiple times...

There is no such thing as vote fraud. Move along...

Via Townhall:
Who’s up for a fresh addition to the ever-expanding “voter fraud is a Republican myth” file? Democratic officials and campaign operatives have been caught on tape encouraging illegal voting on several occasions in recent election cycles, and anti-voter ID activists have literally cheered a swing-state poll worker who was convicted of the practice. Our latest installment comes to us from the Bayou State and features a Democratic mayor and former State Senator, who dispensed some pro tips on voting at a rally in advance of Saturday’s run-off election:
Video of Opelousas, Louisiana Mayor Don Cravins Sr.’s Nov. 3 remarks show him telling a crowd in his home town that ‘if you early voted, go vote again tomorrow. One more time’s not going to hurt.’

Businesses and drug dealers buy food stamp EBT cards...

The food stamp program has always been tainted by people selling their benefots. The EBT cards were supposed to end that, but it didn't happen.

Via Telegraph-Forum:
A public assistance service that feeds Ohio’s hungry families can double as currency for drug dealers who will trade almost anything for their product.
Dubious businesses and drug dealers will buy electronic benefits cards for about half the amount loaded onto the card. From there, people use the cash to buy drugs, said Eric Wolf, agent in charge with the Ohio Investigative Unit, which investigates food stamp fraud and liquor license violations.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps, cannot be used to buy items such as tobacco, alcohol or drugs. The penalties can be stiff for offending businesses and their owners because food stamp fraud is a felony offense, Wolf said.
In the past five years, the food stamp program has permanently disqualified 142 stores in Ohio for food stamp fraud — nearly all were in Ohio’s largest cities. However, the U.S. Department of Agriculture does not track how many of those were related to drugs

Sen. Lindsey Graham on recent election: "There's ample evidence of fraud,"

If you thought he was talking about Mississippi, you are wrong. Graham and McCain are fine with fraud there. It's election fraud in Afghanistan that has them concerned.
Less than a week after allegations of fraud prompted election officials in Afghanistan to delay the results of that country's presidential runoff election, Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., called Friday for the two remaining Afghan candidates to allow the results to be audited.
"There's ample evidence of fraud," said Graham, according to the Wall Street Journal. "There needs to be an audit that is recognized by the Afghan people as legitimate and by the international community as legitimate."
A failure to end the standoff, McCain warned, "could put not only the political environment in Afghanistan into a crisis, but also weaken American support for the continued process" of helping Afghanistan as the country recovers from more than a decade of war.

Amusing: Florida congressman Alan Grayson lost $18 million to fraud scheme...

It couldn't happen to a more deserving individual.
McLEAN, Va. (AP) — Court papers show a Florida congressman lost $18 million in a scheme that cheated him and more than 100 other people out of money.
Florida Democrat Alan Grayson should have been able to cash in on tens of millions of dollars in returns on his stock portfolio, but prosecutors say the Virginia man behind the scheme sold the stocks out from under Grayson when they should have been kept as loan collateral.
William Dean Chapman, of Sterling, Va., was sentenced to 12 years in prison Friday for cheating 122 investors out of more than $35 million.
Court papers indicate no wrongdoing on Grayson’s part. His name was supposed to be withheld from the documents, but showed up in two motions. The congressman confirmed Monday he lost money in the fraud.

Fail: Azerbaijan releases vote total before the election begins...

meydan.tv

The dictator is winning by a landslide. Democrats are forming a team to go to Azerbaijan and learn Ilham Aliyev's voter fraud secrets...

Via WaPo:
Azerbaijan's big presidential election, held on Wednesday, was anticipated to be neither free nor fair. President Ilham Aliyev, who took over from his father 10 years ago, has stepped up intimidation of activists and journalists. Rights groups are complaining about free speech restrictions and one-sided state media coverage. The BBC's headline for its story on the election reads "The Pre-Determined President." So expectations were pretty low.
Even still, one expects a certain ritual in these sorts of authoritarian elections, a fealty to at least the appearance of democracy, if not democracy itself. So it was a bit awkward when Azerbaijan's election authorities released vote results – a full day before voting had even started.

Did you know Planned Parenthood in Texas was recently forced to pay $4.3 million for Medicaid fraud?

If you didn't know this it's because the lamestream media won't report it...

Via Newsbusters:
In the first week of February 2012, the Big Three networks lunged to the defense of Planned Parenthood when the Susan G. Komen Foundation (very temporarily) withdrew its donation to abortion giant (about $680,000 the previous year). Network reporters whacked Komen, promoting “outrage and disappointment engulfing the Internet.”
But Mollie Hemingway of Get Religion pointed out that Planned Parenthood in Texas was recently forced to pay the state of Texas $4.3 million for Medicaid fraud. Where was the “outrage and disappointment” engulfing the media? The networks didn’t notice. Even the local newspaper coverage was terrible.
Hemingway noticed two small wire-service bulletins and ten reports from pro-life and Christian websites represented the media coverage.
Good for Reuters, I guess? Their story frames the fraud charge not as part of a national fraud problem for the abortion provider but as just the latest in a battle between Republican legislators and the abortion provider. But, again, at least they mentioned it. As for the Associated Press, their story is seven sentences long, includes no quotes, and could not be drier or less interesting if it tried.
It didn’t come up in my Google search but I thought I’d see about any stories in The Houston Chronicle. Well, that newsroom did report on it, sort of.
There’s a whopping four-paragraph story headlined “Planned Parenthood finalizes $4.3 million lawsuit settlement.” That was an update of the earlier story they ran — the seven-sentence AP story that said the settlement was $1.3 million. Way to put those local resources to work, fellas!

New high of 8,853,614 now collecting federal disability payments

Many people may really need this, but the above chart proves SSDI applications relate to unemployment numbers strongly...
(CNSNews.com) – The number of American workers collecting federal disability payments climbed to yet another record of 8,853,614 in March, up from 8,840,427 in February, according to newly released data from the Social Security Administration.
That means there are more than 3 times as many Americans taking disability payments as there are people living in the city of Chicago, which according to the Census Bureau has a population of 2,707,120.
March was the 194th straight month that the number of American workers collecting federal disability payments increased. The last time the number of Americans collecting disability decreased was in January 1997. That month the number of workers taking disability dropped by 249 people—from 4,385,623 in December 1996 to 4,385,374 in January 1997.

Food stamp fraud doubles...

The food stamp program has always been plagued by fraud. The reported numbers are likely only the tip of the iceberg. About 50 million people receive food stamp benefits and there are 200,000 locations nationwide where you can use these EBT debit cards. Nationwide, there were 40 federal fraud investigators in 2011. Local and state officials don't usually investigate food stamp fraud. Frankly speaking, it's federal money and they are glad to have it spent in their states or localities. If fraud is involved, it's not their problem. Here is a story about rampant food stamp fraud in Seattle. This is not an abnormality. This situation is repeated at hundreds, if not thousands, of locations nationally.

Via CNS News:
In 2012, a U.S. Department of Agriculture official said that food stamp fraud totals $750 million each year – a number that more than doubles the cost of trafficking reported in a 2006- 2008 USDA study.
Kevin Concannon, U.S. Department of Agriculture undersecretary for food, nutrition and consumer services, told the Huffington Post last year that food stamp fraud totals around $750 million each year.

The $750 million number is more than double the amount in total dollars of fraud detected annually in a 2006-2008 study on trafficking – a type of fraud that involves selling Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to food retailers for cents on the dollar.
I have a close relative that works in the grocery business.  Sometimes people will try to by pet food, which is not allowed, on the EBT cards. One recipient got angry and went back and bought his dog steak. That is allowed. There is something seriously wrong with hardworking Americans, who pay their own way, eating hamburger while food stamp recipients buy Filet Mignon. There is a tobacco discount store near my house. They recently put up a sign saying they accept EBT cards now. I assume it's not for tobacco products, but the edible stuff they sell is mostly all junk food.

Louisville woman tries to buy iBamaPad with food stamp card...

Hey, they get a free ObamaPhone. Her confusion about iPads was understandable. Tracy Browning was arrested for robbery, shoplifting and trespassing after she took merchandise she did not pay for. So far, she hasn't been charged for food stamp fraud.
Louisville, Kentucky (The Weekly Vice) - Tracy Browning, a 38-year-old Louisville woman, was jailed after she allegedly tried to purchase several iPads with a food stamp card, then fled to another location where she tried to make the same transaction.

More Carbon trading fraud...

Climate change global warming  is about money. There are two mechanisms for getting money. One is from government programs. An example of this was the almost $100 billion in green money in the failed Stimulus. The other mechanism is carbon trading. The government method os full of cronyism and pork. The carbon trading method is fraught with fraud.

Via The American Interest:

Two court cases point out a disturbing loophole in one of the green movement’s signature policies: carbon trading. In both cases, the defendant is charged with selling millions of dollars’ worth of fake carbon credits—in one case $42 million. The NYT has the story:
Under the E.P.A. program, initiated in 2009, a producer who makes diesel fuel from vegetable oils and animal fats receives renewable energy credits for every gallon manufactured. The producer can then resell the credits to refiners, who pay millions of dollars for them under a government mandate to support a minimum level of production. The credits can also be resold, a commonplace activity in the arena of corporate compliance with federal environmental rules. The problem is that at least three companies were selling bogus credits without producing any biodiesel at all, the E.P.A. has said in announcements over the last year. . . .The credits are easier to counterfeit than hundred-dollar bills. Known as “renewable identification numbers,” or RINs, the 38-digit credits have no physical form and are traded electronically. Exxon Mobil, Marathon and Sunoco are among the many big companies that have bought bogus credits.

Flashback: San Antonio Citizen accuses Julian Castro of covering up criminal fraud

I have no idea of the validity of these allegations, but the citizens involved are relentless. Here are the basics of the allegations.

Via YouTube:

Councilman Carlton Soules was AGAIN contacted and provided with proof of massive public/police corruption including the long-term theft/misuse of HUD funds that was kept hidden when City officials submitted false statements to federal investigators in HUD-OIG case # HL-10-0465. He was presented with proof that "Obama for America" campaign co-chairman/Mayor Julian Castro and City Attorney Michael Bernard (brother of White House Social Secretary Jeremy Bernard) are willing participants in the ongoing cover-up of the criminal activity.
Internal City documents show that the theft/fraud was characterized as "a bottomless pit of money" citing the fact that "The largely unsupervised and unregulated billing of departments across the City under the guise of the telephone "variable" for the last 25 years has resulted in departments having been billed for an untold amount of goods and services from which their department received no benefit". The impact is listed as "millions of dollars". City officials AGAIN violated the law when they submitted false statements to federal investigators admitting that they only misspent $648 of HUD funds for years 2004-8 via "radio accounts" and fail to even mention the "variable", telecom accounts, the "BOTTOMLESS PIT OF MONEY", up to $200,000 of fraudulent Avaya invoices (IG Communications) , secret no-bid contracts , Municipal Integrity intake statements , etc. HUD-OIG agent Victoria Marquez stated "I don't care" when alerted to the "fraud upon the court" orchestrated by City Attorney Klein, Attorney Kosanovich, Attorney Gaul, IT Director Miller, CIO Varn and others in an effort to hide three decades of fraud/theft.
The primary citizen making the allegations has been banned from City Hall.  He has been forced to send a friend to to City Hall to plead before the Mayor and Council and ask why he had been banned and for how long. The Police Chief allegedly denied the citizen was banned, but you can see a copy of the letter here.

Via YouTube:
A citizen of San Antonio, TX and his family recieved numerous terroristic threats but SAPD Chief McManus ignores the police reports and refuses to provide protection for the citizen and his family including small children. The citizen can't speak to the City Council because Chief McManus and City Attorney Bernard issued a criminal trespass warning banning entry into public meetings in an effort to hide three decaes of public/police corruption. A close friend and concerned citizen speaks for him.
On July 1, 2009 immediately after proof of long-term criminal activity, theft/misuse of millions of dollars and an ONGOING criminal conspiracy to hide the crimes was presented to City officials a criminal trespass warning was issued barring entry into City Hall and public Council meetings. San Antonio TX Police Chief William McManus and City Attorney Michael Bernard (brother of White House Social Secretary Jeremy Bernard) refuse to provide a reason, time limit, public hearing, etc. for the unconstitutional/illegal ban violating the Texas Open Meetings Act. The illegal/unconstitutional ban remains in effect over three years later.
The citizen was warned against investigating and reporting public/police corruption, the massive theft of public/grant funds and the ongoing criminal conspiracy to hide the illegal activity inside our local government and law enforcement agencies especially the involvement of City Councilman Diego M Bernal. [...]
A developing HUD scandal concerning the fact that federal agents/ Administration officials AGAIN lied to Congressmen in an effort to hide massive criminal activity will rival the "fast and furious" fiasco when it exposes Obama's ties to "Obama For America" campaign co-chairman /Mayor Castro and City attorney Michael Bernard (brother of White House social secretary Jeremy Bernard) who have been reported to the FBI, HUD, the DOJ, etc. concerning the criminal conspiracy to cover-up the long term theft/misuse of HUD and other funds by the City of San Antonio TX.( including the submission of false statements/audits to federal investigators in HUD-OIG case # hl-10-0465) ...
The whistle-blower is now reportedly getting threatening phone calls and the police are allegedly ignoring the threats.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse now has hard evidence Obama's birth certificate was altered

FOX 10 News - Phoenix, AZ | KSAZ-TV

Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse went to Hawaii and tracked down the 95 year-old registrar, Verna K. Lee, who stamped and signed Obama's original birth certificate. They asked Lee about the meaning of the penciled in numbers next to the information on the birth certificate. These numbers are codes used for entry into a census computer database. The number 9 means the box was left blank. The LFBC pdf file released by Obama has 9's by the boxes for fathers race and kind of business or industry. That means the boxes were blank on the original LFBC. The pdf released by Obama has "African" for race and "University" for business or industry. Also, the numbering for the birth certificate is out of sequence. Many had previously questioned the use of the term "African" for race because that wasn't a normal racial designation in 1961.
PHOENIX (AP) -- Investigators for an Arizona sheriff's volunteer posse have declared that President Barack Obama's birth certificate is definitely fraudulent.

Members of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse said in March that there was probable cause that Obama's long-form birth certificate released by the White House in April 2011 was a computer-generated forgery.

Now, Arpaio says investigators are positive it's fraudulent.

Mike Zullo, the posse's chief investigator, said numeric codes on certain parts of the birth certificate indicate that those parts weren't filled out, yet those sections asking for the race of Obama's father and his field of work or study were completed.

Zullo said investigators previously didn't know the meaning of codes but they were explained by a 95-year-old former state worker who signed the president's birth certificate... Keep on reading...

Obvious: Those renewable energy credits you bought may be bogus

Almost everything about climate change is bogus...

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Maryland man faces trial in a $9.1 million fraud case that is shedding light on problems in a renewable energy credits program run by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Federal prosecutors accuse Rodney Hailey of Perry Hall of selling renewable fuel credits even though his company, Clean Green Fuel LLC, did not produce any renewable fuel. Instead, prosecutors say he pocketed the money and bought Ferraris and other luxury cars, as well as tractor-trailers, homes, jewelry and computers.

Stratfor Emails: Democrats Stuffed Ballot Boxes in Ohio and Pennsylvania in 2008

No surprise here. Sen. John McCain reportedly knew about it and lacked the cahones to do anything.

Business Insider reported:
John McCain’s 2008 campaign staff allegedly had evidence that Democrats stuffed ballot boxes in Pennsylvania and Ohio on election night, but McCain chose not to pursue voter fraud, according to internal Stratfor emails published by WikiLeaks.
In an email sent on November 7, 2008, and titled ” Insight – The Dems & Dirty Tricks ** Internal Use Only – Pls Do Not Forward **,” Stratfor vice president of intelligence Fred Burton wrote:
1) The black Dems were caught stuffing the ballot boxes in Philly and Ohio as reported the night of the election and Sen. McCain chose not to fight. The matter is not dead inside the party. It now becomes a matter of sequence now as to how and when to “out”.
In an email sent two days earlier and titled “Insight - McCain #5 ** internal use only – Pls do not forward **,” Burton wrote:
After discussions with his inner circle, which explains the delay in his speech, McCain decided not to pursue the voter fraud in PA and Ohio, despite his staff’s desire to make it an issue. He said no. Staff felt they could get a federal injunction to stop the process. McCain felt the crowds assembled in support of Obama and such would be detrimental to our country and it would do our nation no good for this to drag out like last go around, coupled with the possibility of domestic violence.

Dirty Indiana Dems Busted For 2008 Election Fraud

A Google search reveals all the major networks except FOX are avoiding this story like the plague. I wonder what's up? Oh, they are Democrats...

Via FOX News:
"Felony charges related to election fraud have touched the 2008 race for the highest office in the land.

Prosecutors in South Bend, Ind., filed charges Monday against four St. Joseph County Democratic officials and deputies as part of a multiple-felony case involving the alleged forging of Democratic presidential primary petitions in the 2008 election, which put then-candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on the Indiana ballot.

The officials are accused of taking part in a scheme to fake signatures and names on the primary petitions needed to run for president. Court papers say the plan was hatched by local Democratic Party officials inside the local party headquarters."

Sheriff Joe Arpaio Cold Case Posse: Obama's Birth certificate a Likely Fraud

Hmm... They are recommending the investigation be elevated to a criminal probe.

 Via WND:
PHOENIX – An investigative “Cold Case Posse” launched six months ago by “America’s toughest sheriff” – Joe Arpaio of Arizona’s Maricopa County – has concluded there is probable cause that the document released by the White House last year as President Obama’s birth certificate is a computer-generated forgery.

The investigative team has asked Arpaio, who is at a news conference in Phoenix live-streamed by WND TV that began at 3 p.m. Eastern time, to elevate the investigation to a criminal probe that will make available the resources of his Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

The posse says it has identified at least one person of interest in the alleged forgery of Obama’s birth certificate.

Arapaio, known for his strict enforcement of immigration laws, commissioned the investigative team after local citizens presented him with a petition expressing concern that Obama might not be eligible for Arizona’s presidential ballot.[...]

In addition, investigators say they have developed credible evidence that President Obama’s Selective Service card was a forgery, based on an examination of the postal date stamp on the document. Also, records of Immigration and Naturalization Service cards filled out by passengers arriving on international flights originating outside the United States in the month of August 1961, examined at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., are missing records for the week of President Obama’s birth. There is much more here...

Obama administration gives up effort to curb Medicare fraud

Hey, it's only taxpayer money.
(Cato)- In a word, government is stupid.

As if to prove the point, the Obama administration—despite its rhetoric about getting tough on fraud—is behaving pretty much as I predicted. In mid-November, the administration announced two anti-fraud efforts, one to prevent fraudulent claims for power wheelchairs and scooters, and another to eliminate “pay and chase” for some Medicare claims in some states. Not two months later, under “heavy provider opposition,” Medicare has delayed these demonstrations “until further notice.”

If you’re interested to see how this all turns out, follow @CMS.gov on Twitter and keep an eye out for #pmd_demonstration (the wheelchairs and scooters demonstration project; there’s no hashtag for the project to curb “pay and chase”).
