The Gulf oil spill is undoubtably a disaster, but it hasn't hit the main shore yet. If it does, Presdent Obama can quickly fly back down for a photo with oil covered birds.

Barack Obama’s media advisers were quite distressed when the President travelled down to the Louisiana coastline last week to make his first on-the-spot statement about the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Their distress was caused by what they didn’t discover, rather than what they did. Obama Astroturfed White House Doctor Photo Op

President Obama invited a bunch of friendly doctors to the White House for a pro health care reform photo op. Some of the doctors forgot their white coats. That wasn't a problem. Obama had some ready to hand out.

The New York Post reported:

WASHINGTON -- President Obama yesterday rolled out the red carpet -- and handed out doctors' white coats as well, just so nobody missed his hard-sell health-care message.

In a heavy-handed attempt at reviving support for health-care reform, the White House orchestrated a massive photo op to buttress its claim that front-line physicians support Obama.

Obama photo op in Iraq was allegedly staged

I preciously posted that the photo op of Obama in Iraq looked strange because too many women and minorities were up front next to Obama. The demographics of this crowd did not match the demographics of the military. This was especially true of the number of female military personnel close to Obama. This suspicion has now been confirmed by the Flopping Aces blog.

Quite a contrast to the silent treatment Marines gave Obama at his Camp LeJeune speech in late February. Just how did Obama manage to fix that little problem?

According to a sergeant in Iraq :

We were pre-screened, asked by officials “Who voted for Obama?”, and then those who raised their hands were shuffled to the front of the receiving line. They even handed out digital cameras and asked them to hold them up. [Via Macsmind.]

As supporting evidence for the digital-cameras part of the story, the sergeant (or Mac, can’t tell which), suggests that the identical cameras can be verified in the AP photos. Looks right:

Most of these soldiers do seem to have the same cameras. That is quite a coincidence.
