Fail: Obama Claims Coal Air Pollution Causes Asthma for Kids

(CNSNews.com) — President Barack Obama claimed that coal could create “the kinds of air pollution” that is “creating asthma for kids,” in speaking at a town hall event in Annandale, Va., on Tuesday. However, the National Institutes of Health says that “the exact cause of asthma isn’t known” and that “asthma is different for each person.”

“The challenge with coal is that although it’s very cheap, it’s also dirty. And it can create the kinds of air pollution that not only is contributing to climate change but is also creating asthma for kids nearby,” Obama said in answer to a question about balancing deficit reduction with government spending on clean energy.

Here is what NIH's National Heart Lung Blood Institute says causes asthma.  

• An inherited tendency to develop allergies, called atopy (AT-o-pe)
• Parents who have asthma
• Certain respiratory infections during childhood
• Contact with some airborne allergens or exposure to some viral infections in infancy or in early childhood when the immune system is developing

Perhaps President Obama should check with his own National Institute of health before making a fool of himself. No wonder he believes the science of anthropogenic global warming is settled.

Good News: House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton is expanding Obamacare investigation

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton has sent letters to 18 union and industry groups requesting information about their meetings with Team Obama before the passage of Obamacare. He previously sent requests for information to the Obama administration, but the most transparent administration in history is stonewalling his document request.

(Daily Caller) — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton is expanding his investigation into the meetings between special interest groups and the Obama White House that set the stage for the passage of Obamacare, sending document requests to 12 industry groups and unions that played a key role in the negotiations.

In April 18 letters to the groups, Upton asks for extensive details and documents about each organization’s interactions with the White House in regards to the health care law.

The requests come as the Obama White House has so far declined to provide its documents about the meetings.

At issue are special deals struck between interest groups and President Obama to either garner the support of major industry sectors or soften their criticism of the health care law.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer Vetoes "Birther" Bill

Monday, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed the so-called "birther" bill that would have forced candidates to show documented proof they were constitutionally eligible for the job.

PHOENIX -- Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Monday vetoed a bill that would have required President Barack Obama and other presidential candidates to prove their U.S. citizenship before their names could appear on the state's ballot.

Here is her reason.

Brewer said in her veto letter that she was troubled that the bill empowered Arizona's secretary of state to judge the qualifications of all candidates when they file to run for office.

"I do not support designating one person as the gatekeeper to the ballot for a candidate, which could lead to arbitrary or politically motivated decisions," said Brewer, who was secretary of state until she became governor in 2009.

The bill passed both houses with overwhelming Republican support. If supporters stick together, they have the votes to override Brewer's veto.

Did Former DOH Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino inadvertently admit Obama's birth certificate is different?

In an attempt to debunk Donald Trump's attack on Obama's unreleased birth certificate, NBC called up former DOH Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino. You may remember her for the two statements she released claiming Hawaii has Obama's records on file. The last statement is here. During the interview, Dr. Chiyome Fukino made this interesting revelation.

Before she would do so, Fukino said, she wanted to inspect the files — and did so, taking with her the state official in charge of vital records. She found the original birth record, properly numbered, half typed and half handwritten, and signed by the doctor who delivered Obama, located in the files. She then put out a public statement asserting to the document's validity. She later put out another public statement in July 2009 — after reviewing the original birth record a second time.

We know exactly what President Obama's birth certificate should look like if his nativity story is true. The original long form birth certificates of the Nordyke twins have been released by Eleanor Nordyke of Manoa. The Nordyke twins were born the next day at the very same hospital, Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital, President Obama claims for his birth. Here is the problem. Dr. Fukino said Obama's was half typed and half handwritten. There is no handwriting on the Nordyke twins birth certificates except for a couple of signatures and dates. Why does Obama's have writing? There must be something different about Obama's birth record, even though he claims to have been born at the same hospital one day earlier. The Nordyke birth certificates also highlighted something else strange about the short form certificate President Obama had verified by the two college kids at Annenberg Foundation supported FactCheck.org. The serial number is out of sequence. The Nordyke twins were given numbers  151 – 61 – 10637 (imaged above) and 151 – 61 – 10638. Their filing date with the Hawaii registrar was Aug. 11, 1961. Obama's short form was filed three days earlier, Aug 8 1961, and has a higher number of 151 – 1961 – 10641. How does that happen? Check the Obama Factcheck.org version here.

President Obama released his tax return. Barack and Michelle raked in $1.7 million last year. Most of the income was from sales of Bill Ayers Obama's books.

(MSNBC) — President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle reported a joint adjusted gross income of about $1.7 million in 2010 and paid $453,770 in total federal taxes, the White House announced Monday.  They also paid $51,568 in state income taxes in Illinois.

The president and his wife also reported donations to 36 different charities totaling $245,075, with the largest single donation going to the Fisher House Foundation, a program that supports the families of members of the military receiving special medical care.

Petition due dates and signatures needed for every State Senator facing recall efforts

Last week a group trying to recall Wisconsin Democratic State Senator Dave Hansen because he fled the state instead of doing his job and voting on a bill to restrict public employee bargaining rights announced they had enough signatures on a recall petition to get the ball rolling. This week, their office is broken into and recall petitions are stolen.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) — Police in Green Bay are looking into a burglary at an office used by a group seeking to recall Democratic State Senator Dave Hansen.

Authorities say it most likely happened between 5 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. on Friday.

In an e-mail, group organizer David Vander Leest says petitions, t-shirts and a computer were taken from the office at 1136 West Mason Street.

Vander Leest also blamed the incident on the “opposition of Recall Dave Hansen.”
