The sacrifice made by those who serve or have served in the Military isn't lost on most American. 50% say Memorial Day is the nation’s most important holiday and 74% have a favorable opinion of the U.S. military.
Rasmussen reported:
Fifty percent (50%) of Americans view Memorial Day, officially celebrated tomorrow, as one of the nation’s most important holidays, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey...
Men tend to view Memorial Day as more important than women do. Older Americans consider the holiday much more important than younger adults.

Bitter liberal Andy Rooney insulted veterans on Memorial Day by saying war was our "least noble activity." Since when was defeating Adolf Hitler and freeing millions of people from an evil dictatorship our least noble activity?

There is more bravery at war than in peace, and it seems wrong that we have so often saved this virtue to use for our least noble activity - war. The goal of war is to cause death to other people.
