Hillary Clinton trails Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the race for the Democratic nomination for president in New Hampshire, even if Vice President Joe Biden decides not to make a run for the White House, according to a new CNN/WMUR poll.
Sanders has the backing of nearly half of those who say they plan to vote in the first-in-the-nation Democratic primary next year — 46% support him — while just 30% say they back Clinton. Another 14% say they would support Biden, 2% former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, 1% former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, and less than half of 1% back former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee or Harvard professor Lawrence Lessig.

New Hampshire defunds Planned Parenthood...
Progress...
Via Daily Caller:
Via Daily Caller:
New Hampshire legislators stripped the state’s six Planned Parenthood clinics of state funds Wednesday, deleting roughly one third of their public funding.
The state’s Republican-led Executive Council rejected a $639,000 funding contract with Planned Parenthood, reported local ABC affiliate WMUR9. The Council cited a series of undercover videos in the meeting, which show top Planned Parenthood doctors discussing and participating in the harvesting, dissection, and distribution of aborted fetuses. The Center for Medical Progress plans to release more footage, and has alleged Planned Parenthood is illegally selling the aborted baby parts for profit. But Planned Parenthood maintains the fees it charges are legally legitimate and that they do not profit from the exchange. Ted Cruz campaigns in New Hampshire
Giddy up...
Via Dallas News
Via Dallas News
Ted Cruz, the first and so far only major candidate for president, swept into New Hampshire on Friday, upbeat and eager to embrace the outsider label he’s cultivated since erupting on the national scene three years ago.
“I am amazingly, powerfully, profoundly optimistic,” said the Texas senator, boasting to a cheering crowd at a VFW post that he had raked in $2 million within three days of launching his campaign Monday.
“The New York Times said Cruz cannot win because he is hated by the Washington elites,” Cruz said, and the 150 or more activists erupted. “I gotta admit, I wanted to Xerox that and mail it to all 300 million people.”
Cruz invoked the new rhetoric he unveiled with the launch of his campaign at Liberty University, the world’s largest Christian college. He said he’ll rely on an “army of courageous conservatives” to propel his bid for the GOP nomination...

Scott Brown's pickup truck is in New Hampshire...
The RINO is strong in Scott Brown, but he would be better than demo Jeanne Shaheen.
LONDONDERRY, N.H. — The trademark pickup truck rolled up to the Harold Square restaurant here one rainy night last week and out popped Scott P. Brown, the former senator from Massachusetts. He had been a senator for only three years, but that was long enough to whet his appetite for more.
But for more what, precisely? Mr. Brown, a noncandidate in perpetual campaign mode, is not saying. He is openly toying with some options, like running for the Senate next year in New Hampshire. He has also visited Iowa to test the presidential waters and may be positioning himself as a potential vice-presidential pick. Not under consideration, apparently, is any office in his home state of Massachusetts, where a Senate seat is also up next year.“I know there’s a lot of curiosity and interest as to what my future plans are,” he told reporters waiting for him in Londonderry, where he was the main attraction at a meet-and-greet with local Republicans. “Nothing’s really changed since the last time we’ve seen each other, which is more often than not.”That is to say, while he has made numerous visits recently to New Hampshire, where he has long owned a vacation home, he still has not decided whether to challenge Senator Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat, who is seeking re-election.

Unexpected: GOP-controlled NH House of Representatives passes medical marijuana bill. Demo Governor threatens veto.
Well, it is a national election year and the nation's top Democrat has reversed course on medical marijuana.
Via Reason:
Via Reason:
This week the Republican-controlled New Hampshire House of Representatives passed a medical marijuana bill by a lopsided vote of 236 to 96, one day after Gov. John Lynch, a Democrat, threatened to veto the legislation. Last month the state Senate approved the bill, which would let patients with "debilitating medical conditions" or their "designated caregivers" grow and possess up to six ounces at a time, by a vote of 13 to 11, with all five Democrats and eight Republicans in favor. The number of yes votes in the House, where nearly three-quarters of the seats are held by Republicans, is enough to overcome a veto (which requires a two-thirds majority), but the bill's supporters need to get three more votes in the Senate. If they manage to do that, New Hampshire will become the 17th state to allow medical use of marijuana. Lynch successfully vetoed a similar bill in 2009.

CNN Poll: President Obama's approval rating in New Hampshire is only 31%
Team re-elect Obama has to really be wondering how they can put together an electoral victory.
CNN: Sixty-five percent of New Hampshire residents disapprove of President Obama’s handling of the economy, according to a new poll.According to one recent poll, even GOP candidate Ron Paul would beat Obama.
The American Research Group’s September 2011 Quarterly New Hampshire Poll also found the president’s approval rating in the first-in-the-nation primary state is pegged at 31%.
Dante Scala, a political science professor at the University of New Hampshire, said the notable shift in Obama’s support is among undeclared, or independent voters. Sixty-seven percent of undeclared voters in the state say they disapprove of how the president has handled the economy.

New Hampshire Cuts Planned Parenthood Funding
The news keeps getting worse for Planned Parenthood.
(Life News) — In a move that generated little media attention or focus, New Hampshire became the latest state to scrap taxpayer funding of the Planned Parenthood abortion business when members of a panel voted to void a $1.8 million contract.Back in the day, Planned Parenthood would teach you how to spot a pimp.
Last Wednesday, on a 3-2 vote, members of the Executive Council rejected a taxpayer funded contract with the abortion business and told a newspaper that it was because Planned Parenthood does abortions and spends large amounts of money paying its administrators huge salaries and lobbying the state government.
The Executive Council voided the contract with Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) with Councilor Dan St. Hilaire of Concord casting a vote against the contract along with David Wheeler of Nashua and Raymond J. Wieczorek of Manchester. The Union Leader indicates Raymond S. Burton of Bath and Chris Sununu of Newfields supported funding the abortion business.
While the council approved contracts for legitimate medical centers and organizations, St. Hilaire told the newspaper that Planned Parenthood does abortions and its CEO earns in excess of $250,000 a year. St. Hilaire also cited the fact that most of the services and administration are located outside New Hampshire, in Vermont.
