James O’Keefe video prompts voter fraud investigation in North Carolina...

Democrats hardest hit...

Via Breitbart:
The North Carolina State Board of Elections has opened an investigation into the allegation of voter fraud from the North Carolina Republican Party in the wake of an activist video purporting to show campaign workers assisting an illegal immigrant to vote.
“We have folks who are investigating it. We actually have one of our people going down to Charlotte today to look into this matter more fully,” Josh Lawson, a State Board of Elections spokesman, said in an interview Friday with Breitbart News.
He added that the SBOE has also requested that creators of the video — conservative activist James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas — provide the full, unedited video of the interactions.
It is illegal to vote as a non-citizen. It is also illegal to assist non-citizens to vote.
Thursday, Project Veritas released a new video showing campaign workers in North Carolina appearing to assist an individual posing as an illegal immigrant from Brazil vote in the midterm elections.

Report: NAACP trying to create voter confusion and animosity in North Carolina...

This wouldn't surprise me at all.

Via Judicial Watch:
According to a letter from a lawyer for the State of North Carolina to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a speaker at a recent NAACP conference in North Carolina urged audience members to mislead the NAACP’s own members into believing they do not need to register to vote in advance, or that they do not need to vote at their assigned polling place. Why?  The letter alleges: To create confusion and animosity during the upcoming mid-term elections in North Carolina, and to use the evidence of that confusion in the ongoing litigation between Eric Holder’s Justice Department and North Carolina and to show that North Carolina’s election integrity laws are discriminatory. From the letter:
It is also our understanding that during the [NAACP conference], Rev. Barber urged those in attendance to take unregistered voters to vote during the Early Voting period and to engage in get-out-the vote activities that included transporting registered voters to vote in precincts in which they are not assigned to vote on Election Day, or words to that effect. The stated purpose for these activities, as I understand it, was to gather evidence for and thereby enhance plaintiffs prospects of success in the litigation involving [North Carolina’s Election Integrity Laws].

Sen. Kay Hagan recommended a NC judge for a seat in the U.S. District Court just before Judge ruled on a company partially owned by Hagan’s husband

Move on. There isn't a smidgen of corruption to see here...

Via Washington Free Beacon:
Just a week after Sen. Kay Hagan (D., N.C.) recommended a North Carolina judge to President Barack Obama for a seat in the U.S. District Court, the judge ruled in favor of a company partially owned by Hagan’s husband.
The senator’s husband, Charles T. “Chip” Hagan, was a managing member of Hydrodyne Industries LLC when it sued a regional water authority for drawing water out of a river that had one of its hydroelectric dams built on. The lawsuit sought millions of dollars in damages and was carried out by Chip Hagan’s legal firm.
Superior Court Judge Calvin E. Murphy ruled the case in favor of Hydrodyne, setting the table for the Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority to pay millions in damages to companies including Hydrodyne.
Murphy’s ruling was made on Oct. 23, 2009, just nine days after Sen. Hagan sent his name to Obama to be nominated for a lifetime seat on the U.S. District Court for Western North Carolina.
Hagan withdrew her recommendation to Obama after North Carolina’s News and Record contacted her office about the apparent conflict of interest, telling the paper that she “was not aware that Judge Murphy was hearing a case in which my husband had an interest.”

Voter Fraud Update

When democrats tell you there is not significant voter fraud, quote them these statistics.

Via PJ Media:
The North Carolina State Board of Elections has found thousands of instances of voter fraud in the state, thanks to a 28-state crosscheck of voter rolls. Initial findings suggest widespread election fraud.
  • 765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in N.C. and the other state in the 2012 general election.
  • 35,750 voters with the same first and last name and DOB were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in both states in the 2012 general election.
  • 155,692 voters with the same first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state – and the latest date of registration or voter activity did not take place within N.C.
The second point is key, as double voting is election fraud under state and federal statutes. Punishment for double voting in federal elections can include jail time.

Too funny, but someone is in a lot of trouble.

Obamacare Fail: BC/BS of N.C has 3.7 million customers, but only one #Obamacare enrollee...

This one Obamacare customer isn't official because they haven't paid yet.  No wonder Obama won't release the enrollment numbers. They are horrible.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -
It's been one month since the rollout of Obamacare, but problems persist as Healthcare.gov is still struggling to stay online.
The public's problems in trying to deal with the troubled Health Insurance Marketplace website aren't the only problems plaguing the system. WNCN Investigates learned the state's largest insurer has experienced a number of problems with the system
Blue Cross Blue Shield has more than 3.7 million customers in our state, but internal emails obtained by WNCN show that as of last Friday, only one person had enrolled for health insurance through the Exchange and that person hasn't paid.
Without payment, enrollment means nothing because the customer is still not officially in the system.

Obama's Justice department suing North Carolina over new voting rules

Voter ID scares democrats to death...

Via FoxNews:
The Justice Department will announce Monday that it is suing the state of North Carolina for alleged racial discrimination over tough new voting rules.
A person briefed on the department’s plans told Fox News that the suit would claim that the North Carolina statute violated Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act and would seek to have the state subject to federal pre-clearance before making “future voting-related changes.” The person also said the suit would be filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Nashville, Tenn.
In asking for pre-clearance, the Justice Department will ask a federal judge to place the four provisions in North Carolina’s new law under federal scrutiny for an indeterminate period.

Change: 60 percent of North Carolina counties will have only Blue Cross Blue Shield as a provider option under Obamacare

Blue Cross Blue Shield? Weren't they big supporters of this monstrosity?

Via The Daily Caller:
Rep. Renee Ellmers raised awareness of a new problem with Obamacare’s implementation: the creation of private-sector health insurance monopolies that will limit Americans’ provider choices. The major health insurance company Blue Cross Blue Shield, which is closely coordinating with the White House on Obamacare implementation, will enjoy perhaps the greatest monopoly of all, the North Carolina Republican said in a statement. “Although seven insurance companies currently operate in North Carolina, under the new Obamacare exchanges, those options will dwindle down to one in the majority of counties,” Ellmers said Thursday following the disclosure of figures by federal health officials showing that more than 60 percent of North Carolina counties will have only one insurance provider option under Obamacare: Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Comedy Gold: NC Demo Rep. pushes wrong button and legalizes fracking in North Carolina

The vote was to override Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue’s veto of a bill legalizing fracking. Democratic Rep. Becky Carney pushed wrong button and cast a deciding vote to override the veto. She asked for a 'do over,' but Republicans declined.
Rep. Becky Carney, a five-term Democrat from Charlotte, burst into tears after mistakenly voting with Republicans to override Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue’s veto of the contentious legislation. The measure lifts the ban on hydraulic fracturing as a means for mining for natural gas, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Carney and other Democrats asked for a do-over, as is common when a member pushes the wrong button. But in this instance, Republicans said no. A change in Carney’s vote would have changed the outcome, which is against the House rules. But Ms. Carney asked for the rules to be suspended so she could change her vote, but got nowhere. Obvious: NC state legislators want to keep liquor stores open on Labor day because of Democratic National Convention

If Obama was my party's nominee, I would need a drink too.
(AP) — A bipartisan group of Charlotte-area state legislators want to make sure the thousands of political animals who will pack the city for the Democratic National Convention can buy liquor on Labor Day.

The proposed legislation would keep Alcoholic Beverage Control stores in Mecklenburg County open on Labor Day Monday for this year only. The state's alcohol control system requires ABC stores to close on Sundays and five holidays.

States Movement To Defund Planned Parenthood Grows

North Carolina Off the Beaten Path, 9th: A Guide to Unique Places (Off the Beaten Path Series)

Add North Carolina to the growing list of states defunding Planned Parenthood.
(Life News) — North Carolina has become the third state to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business now that both houses of the state legislature have agreed to override the veto pro-abortion Gov. Bev Perdue’s budget veto.

The state legislature approved a measure to remove federal funds from the pro-abortion organization in its state budget. In North Carolina, the abortion business receives $434,000 through state family planning programs aimed at reducing teen pregnancies and providing birth control. Although the money can only be used for non-abortion services, the same organization is also the nation’s largest abortion business — doing more than 330,000 annually and comprising more than one-quarter of all abortions in the United States annually.

CBN Video: Update on the Tarheel Jihad Group

The mainstream media are doing their usual "good job" of ignoring potential violent jihad in America. CBN News has produced a great video follow up on the North Carolina group planning violent jihad here in America.
