NAACP wants Confederate images removed from Stone Mountain...

The NAACP is stupid...

Via Associated Press:
The president of the Atlanta NAACP says the group wants Confederate symbols — including a giant carving at Stone Mountain Park — removed from all government-owned property and plans to pursue making those changes during the next legislative session.
Some who support flying the battle flag say the symbol represents Southern heritage and pride in Civil War-era leaders. However, Atlanta NAACP President Richard Rose and others have argued the flag is a divisive symbol and white supremacy is at the heart of the heritage the flag celebrates.

Remember that NAACP bombing in Colorado?

The target wasn't the NAACP. Put Eric Holder on suicide watch.
DENVER — A man arrested in last month’s small explosion near a Colorado NAACP office told investigators he was targeting an accountant who worked in the same building.
Court records filed Friday allege 44-year-old Thaddeus Murphy admitted to making a pipe bomb because he was distraught over financial problems. The records show Murphy was upset because the accountant wouldn’t return his tax records or phone calls.
Murphy was charged with arson of a building and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The accountant ran his business out of the same building as offices of the Colorado Springs chapter of the NAACP.
No one was hurt in the explosion adjacent to a wall of Mr. G’s Hair Design Studios, a barber shop.
The blast caused only minor damage but rattled nerves due to its proximity to the nation’s oldest civil rights organization.

Strange: Damage from alleged Colorado NAACP bombing seems to have been there months ago.

Here is a image of the damage from the alleged bomb set off outside a Colorado NAACP office this week.

Here is a September Google Earth image of the same part of the building. The burnt spot appears to have already been there.

Report: NAACP trying to create voter confusion and animosity in North Carolina...

This wouldn't surprise me at all.

Via Judicial Watch:
According to a letter from a lawyer for the State of North Carolina to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a speaker at a recent NAACP conference in North Carolina urged audience members to mislead the NAACP’s own members into believing they do not need to register to vote in advance, or that they do not need to vote at their assigned polling place. Why?  The letter alleges: To create confusion and animosity during the upcoming mid-term elections in North Carolina, and to use the evidence of that confusion in the ongoing litigation between Eric Holder’s Justice Department and North Carolina and to show that North Carolina’s election integrity laws are discriminatory. From the letter:
It is also our understanding that during the [NAACP conference], Rev. Barber urged those in attendance to take unregistered voters to vote during the Early Voting period and to engage in get-out-the vote activities that included transporting registered voters to vote in precincts in which they are not assigned to vote on Election Day, or words to that effect. The stated purpose for these activities, as I understand it, was to gather evidence for and thereby enhance plaintiffs prospects of success in the litigation involving [North Carolina’s Election Integrity Laws].

Obvious: NCAAP ready for a little payback from Thad Cochran...

Bedfellows...
Via Politico:
Cochran said that party affiliation is a “state of mind” in Mississippi and that “everybody can participate.”
Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr., said that Cochran’s seniority was a major reason that the veteran Republican lawmaker got his support. Flaggs said that he will support Cochran in the general election and that it is important he stays in office so that Mississippi can benefit from his longevity in Congress, particularly since earmarks are gone.
NAACP Mississippi State President Derrick Johnson said in an interview that they are looking for Cochran’s support.
“Two things that we think should come immediately after the election [are] his support of the Voting Rights act… free of any provisions that would allow for voter ID and, second, to get the presidents of the black colleges to ask for his offices for help to make sure the mission of those institutions are carried out,” he said.

NCAAP handbook promotes “Christian Socialism.”

I remember when being a socialist was considered un-American and a bad thing ...

Via Tony Lee:
The NAACP of North Carolina has created a handbook for clergy to enable them to use Bible verses to promote what has been called “Christian Socialism.”
The North Carolina chapter of the NAACP is a “lead organizer of the Moral Monday rallies,” and Rev. William Barber, who is reportedly an “organizer and frequent keynote speaker,” has often used the handbook to denounce Republicans in North Carolina’s legislature for “trying to move the state backwards” by supporting issues like Voter ID laws, which North Carolina’s governor recently signed into law.
Their rallying slogan is, “Forward together, not one step back” and the tax-exempt organization advocates a brand of “Christian Socialism.” The handbook suggests using a Bible verse that offers “an alternative paradigm for interpersonal and communal engagement that can serve as a critical rejoinder to the policies of our state government.”

Former NAACP Leader on Obama: "Take away this president’s skin color and take away the race card that is played so often with this president and there’s really no reason for black people to vote for him"

What he said...

Via Newsbusters:
REVEREND C.L. BRYANT: By telling the truth about who they’ve been historically. That has been distorted. The truth of the matter is this – and Mr. Reed did in fact say well, the president did well through the south – but the truth of the matter is this: take away this president’s skin color and take away the race card that is played so often with this president and there’s really no reason for black people to vote for him or Latinos in that frame as well, because when you look at the unemployment rate among those two demographics, when you look at the poverty rate among young white females, there is no reason for anybody to have re-elected this president in those demographics except for the emotional issue of race.

Obama campaign allegedly threatens NAACP director for failing to support Obama...

It's the Chicago way...
CHICAGO (CBS) — The President of the South Suburban Branch of the NAACP alleges a director of the re-election campaign of Barack Obama has threatened and intimidated him because he doesn’t support the president.
David Lowery says he believes he was threatened during a phoneconversation with Louis Raymond, the Obama for America Illinois regional director.
Lowery says he doesn’t personally support the president because he’s not addressing issues important to the black community. He said he was explaining that to Raymond when the Obama campaign official told him, “You know what? I know everything about you.”
Lowery says Raymond added, “We’ve been watching you, and since you don’t support Obama, we’ll deal with you,” before hanging up....

But...but...there is no voter fraud...

Breitbart reported:
A Mississippi NAACP executive is in jail after being convicted of voter fraud for fraudulently casting absentee ballots, including for four dead people.
Lessadolla Sowers, who is a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee, was convicted and sentenced in April for what a judge said were crimes that cut “against the fabric of our free society.”
She was given a five-year sentence for each of the ten counts of voter fraud for which she was convicted, but the sentencing judge allowed her to serve the terms concurrently, according to the Tunica Times.

NAACP officials get their panties in a bunch because Romney calls Obama out for high black unemployment

Reality bites...
HOUSTON — NAACP officials described Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s morning address to the nation’s most prestigious civil rights group as demeaning and insulting.
A three-quarters full auditorium greeted Romney with lukewarm applause, but the atmosphere quickly grew increasingly tense as Romney made the case that President Obama’s economic policies have not helped the black community. He cited the jump in unemployment among African Americans from 13.6 percent to 14.4 percent in June.
“If equal opportunity in America were an accomplished fact, then a chronically bad economy would be equally bad for everyone,” Romney told the civil rights group’s annual gathering. “Instead, it’s worse for African Americans in almost every way.”
Clayola Brown, the member of the NAACP’s National Board of Directors who invited Romney to speak, said the presumptive Republican presidential nominee should not have used unemployment numbers to try to turn the crowd against Obama.
“It was insensitive and quite demeaning as a matter of fact,” Brown told The Washington Examiner after Romney exited the stage. “Certainly we are aware of what the numbers are and the impact is in our communities. It’s the dialogue used that we find insulting.”

Hypocrisy: Eric Holder Speaks About Efforts To Stop Voter ID Laws, NAACP Requires Photo ID To Attend

Pot, meet kettle...

Via Town Hall’s Katie Pavlich:
Earlier today, Attorney General Eric Holder addressed the NAACP Nation Convention at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. What did media need in order to attend? That’s right, government issued photo identification (and a second form of identification too!), something both Holder and the NAACP stand firmly against when it comes to voting. Holder’s DOJ is currently suing Texas for “discriminatory” voter ID laws. From the press release:
All media must present government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) as well as valid media credentials. Members of the media must RSVP to receive press credentials. For security purposes, media check-in and equipment set up must be completed by 7:45 a.m. CDT for an 8:00 a.m. CDT security sweep. Once the security sweep is completed, additional media equipment will NOT be permitted to enter and swept equipment will NOT be permitted to exit.

NAACP Leader Ben Jealous Thinks America Today is Like Nazi Germany Before Kristallnacht (Video)

NAACP Leader Ben Jealous compared America today to Nazi Germany before Kristallnacht and America at the end of Reconstruction. Jealous was trying to drum up support for the far left One Nation march in Washington this Saturday. Barack Obama's Organizing for America is supporting this far left march.

Andrew Breitbart Destroys "N Word" Lie Against Tea Party Protesters (video)

The NAACP passed a resolution yesterday accusing Tea Party members of exhibiting "explicitly racist behavior." Much of this accusation is based on Rep. Andre Carson's claim the "N" word was hurled at him 15 times on March 20th prior to a vote on ObamaCare in Washington DC. Andrew Breitbart has offered $100,000 to anyone who can produce video evidence this claim is true. Several videos have been recovered and analyzed by Breitbart, but none of them support Rep. Andre Carson's racial epithet claim.

NAACP holds a press conference to get charges dropped against SEIU goons who attacked black Tea Party Protester. They call him an "Uncle Tom."

NAACP holds a press conference to get the St Louis Prosecutor to drop charges against SEIU goons who attack black Tea Party Protester. They call him an 'Uncle Tom." This is one of the most outrageous videos ever.

From the video:
Back in the day, we used to call someone like that, and I want to remind you, uh, when this incident occurred, I was really struck by a front page picture of this guy, which we called, a Negro, I mean that we call him a Negro in the fact that he works for not for our people but against our people. In the old days, we call him an Uncle Tom. I just gotta say that.
