Debbie Wasserman Schultz better hold on tight Tuesday night. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
Via The Hill:
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) predicted Sunday that her party will hold the Senate in Tuesday's midterms thanks to its "superior" ground games in key states.
"I think we're going to hold the Senate," Wasserman Schultz said during an interview with ABC's "This Week." "We have a ground game that I know [the GOP] would take over theirs any day of the week."Wassermann Schultz also cited the high-level surrogates working with Democratic candidates on the campaign trail, including former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden.
Noting close poll numbers in key states, she said the Democratic party's advantages are "superior to the ones that Republicans have."

Via Daily Caller:
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz admitted fault Thursday for saying that Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has “given women the back of his hand” and is “grabbing us by the hair.”
“I shouldn’t have used the words I used,” Wasserman Schultz said in a statement to CBS News.
Wasserman Schultz did not apologize to Walker or other Republicans, but rather doubled down in her line of attack on Walker.
“That shouldn’t detract from the broader point that I was making that Scott Walker’s policies have been bad for Wisconsin women,” Wasserman Schultz said. “Whether it’s mandating ultrasounds, repealing an equal pay law, or rejecting federal funding for preventative health care, Walker’s record speaks for itself.”

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz caught telling a whopper (video)
Debbie Wasserman Schultz was quoted by a conservative news source making the claim Israel’s ambassador to the US, Michael Oren, said, “that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel.” When the Israeli ambassador claimed that statement was false, Debbie Wasserman Schultz said she never made that statement and was misquoted by The Washington Examiner.
“I didn’t say he said that,” Wasserman Schultz insisted. “And unfortunately, that comment was reported by a conservative newspaper. It’s not surprising they would deliberately misquote me.She is lying through her teeth. Here is the audio.
"We know — and I’ve heard no less than Ambassador Michael Oren say this — that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel. They’re undermining Israel’s security by suggesting that the United States and Israel don’t have anything other than a unique and close and special relationship. "Liar, liar, pants on fire!

DNCC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz talks down Marco Rubio as Romney's running mate
Having a young well spoken Hispanic as Romney's running mate must scare the heck out of democrats.
Via Washington Examiner:
Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., indicated that she knows “a lot of reasons” why Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., should not serve as Mitt Romney’s running mate this year.
“Marco Rubio is a nice guy, but not someone who, I think, belongs on a national ticket — for a lot of reasons,” Wasserman Schultz said yesterday on Newsmakers. As for whether he could help Romney win Florida, she said that “in the polling that I’ve seen recently [Rubio] doesn’t really make much difference; in fact in some cases [he] actually hurts Mitt Romney, or does very little.”

DNC's Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Republicans are rooting for economic failure
Ding-dong Debbie unleashes another round of hyperbole.
(CNN) – Republicans looking to defeat President Barack Obama in November’s general election are rooting for the American economy to fail, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee said in an interview Sunday.Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz said criticism from Republicans on Friday’s worse-than-expected jobs report was reflective of their political motives.
“What's really bothersome to me is that it almost seems like my Republican colleagues in Congress and Mitt Romney are rooting for economic failure,” Wasserman Schultz told CNN chief political correspondent Candy Crowley. “I mean, they've been hyper focused on one job, Barack Obama's, for really the last two years. And we all need to be pulling together to focus on moving the economy forward for the middle class and for working families.”

DNC Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Mitt Romney is extreme or something
A Republican who was elected to statewide office in Massachusetts is "extreme?" DNC Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz must consider Karl Marx a moderate.
(CBS News) — The chair of the Democratic National Committee, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, attacked GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney for being “out-of-step” and “extreme” on Sunday’s “Face the Nation.”
“Each of them are trying to out right-wing each other,” Wasserman Schultz told “Face the Nation” host Bob Schieffer.
The Florida congresswoman focused most of her attention on Romney. She said the former Massachusetts governor is a “dramatic contrast” to what President Obama offers the country.
Ahead of Tuesday’s Florida primary, she said “Romney is out-of-step with the priorities of Floridians.”
“Mitt Romney benefits from the tax loopholes that exist today and he wants them to continue,” Wasserman Schultz said. “That’s the dramatic contrast” to President Obama,” she said.
He is part of an “extreme Republican field” that would do nothing to “help homeowners remain in their homes,” Wasserman Schultz said, referring to the high rate of foreclosures in Florida.

Romeny takes down DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz: "The President, unopposed, only got 80 percent last night. So, you know, I feel sorry for Debbie Wasserman Schultz."
This is priceless. Romney was responding to DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz' criticism of him for only getting about 40% of the New Hampshire vote.
“The President, unopposed, only got 80 percent last night. So, you know, I feel sorry for Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She’s got to stand up for the President’s record. And that is pretty bad. You’ve got almost two million people that have lost their jobs under this president. You’ve got median income that has dropped 10 percent over the last four years. You’ve got 24 million people out of work or stopped looking for work. . . . This is a failed presidency. People know that.”

If you can't beat them, join them: Liberals try out "Obamacare" term
Liberals have given up trying to get people to stop using the pejorative term Obamacare for President Obama's health care takeover. They are now using it in an ad.
Flashback: DNC Chief Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to have the term "Obamacare" banned from the House floor.
(WaPo) — In the political conversation about health-care reform, the term “Obamacare” is almost always used as a pejorative, hurled at the law in long floor speeches and short political ads deriding the Affordable Care Act.
Now, health reform’s staunchest supporters want to change that. Today, two Colorado-based groups are launching “Thanks Obamacare!,” a new site and campaign to promote the health reform law. There’s even a video that ticks off 10 benefits of the health reform law with heavy reliance on the word Obamacare:
Flashback: DNC Chief Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to have the term "Obamacare" banned from the House floor.
After two House Republicans called it “ObamaCare,” Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) asked the chairman whether these “disparaging” remarks should be allowed on the House floor.
“That is a disparaging reference to the president of the United States; it is meant as a disparaging reference to the president of the United States, and it is clearly in violation of the House rules against that,” she said.
Because Wasserman Schultz only asked if it would be appropriate to curb the use of the term “ObamaCare,” the chairman said he would not rule on a hypothetical. But he did urge members to “refrain from engaging in personalities or descriptions about personalities in general.

DNC Chief Debbie Wasserman Schultz "appalled" Republicans want to keep traditional abortion restrictions
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-20) is "appalled" republicans want common sense restrictions on abortions. She accused them of wanting to "allow hospitals to legally refuse life-saving treatment to women."
All the H.R.358 - Protect Life Act does is shore up the same kind of abortion rules we had in place before President Obama and Obamacare came along. Of course, Democrats claimed Obamacare doesn't allow Federal Funding of abortions.
WASHINGTON, DC – October 17, 2011 — Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-20) made the following statement about H.R. 358, the Protect Life Act.What in the world is Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz talking about? The GOP bill allows abortion in case of rape, incest or a threat to the life of the mother.
“When I talk with women in my district, they are concerned about finding a job, keeping their home from foreclosure, or putting food on the table. The last thing they should have to worry about is having their constitutional rights threatened, or their health endangered.
“That’s why I’m so appalled that the Republican majority has brought to the floor yet another bill that would limit women’s access to reproductive care, and has the potential to do real harm.
“H.R. 358, the Protect Life Act, actually does just the opposite. This bill would override core patient protections and allow hospitals to legally refuse life-saving treatment to women.
“This extreme legislation is dangerous for women’s health and does nothing to address the jobs crisis facing American families. I urge my Republican colleagues to stop these dangerous initiatives against women’s health, and join Democrats in continuing to work toward rebuilding our economy and putting America back to work.”
