(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) – An al-Qaeda ‘peace envoy’ in Syria has blown himself up among a rival militant group, killing 16 of them including two commanders, a new report says.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Sunday a militant from al-Qaeda’s Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) was sent to a group of rival militants, in al-Raei town in Aleppo, as a ‘peace envoy’ for negotiations.
It was the second time the envoy was sent for talks, but this time he turned out to be a suicide bomber who killed 16 people and wounded 20 others.

Not a flashback to medieval times: Al-Qaeda fighters in Iraq cut off heads and place them on spikes...
It seems some adherents of Islam are still living in the dark ages...
(Al Jazeera) — Al-Qaeda fighters have struck a bloody blow in scenes of medieval violence in Syria’s northern border-town of Jarabulus. Fighting came to a head on January 17, between rebel groups Liwa al-Tawhid Brigade and the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the town, when reinforcements arrived from Raqqa and reclaimed the city in a brutal four-hour battle.
By nightfall, at least 10 men had been beheaded, their heads mounted on spikes, and more than 1,000 refugees fled the 3kms across the border to Turkey.
It’s a shocking turn of events for residents and Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters alike, who just a week ago believed they were hours away from expelling the al-Qaeda group from their city altogether after surrounding the last 40 fighters in the city’s cultural centre.

Defeat of al-Qaeda update: Al-Qaeda captured Fallujah
Obama was lying when he declared al-Qaeda defeated. Hmm... That "lying" word comes up a lot with Obama.
BEIRUT (AP) — A rejuvenated al-Qaeda force asserted control over the western Iraqi town of Fallujah on Friday, raising its flag over government buildings and declaring an Islamic state in one of the most crucial areas that U.S. troops fought to pacify before withdrawing from Iraq two years ago.
The capture of Fallujah came amid an explosion of violence across the western desert province of Anbar in which local tribes, the Iraqi security forces and al-Qaeda militants have been fighting one another for days in a confusingly chaotic three- way war. [...]
The upheaval also affirmed the soaring capabilities of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the rebranded version of the al-Qaeda in Iraq organization that formed a decade ago to confront U.S. troops and expanded into Syria last year while also escalating its activities in Iraq.
“At the moment, there is no presence of the Iraqi state in Fallujah,” said a local journalist who asked not to be named because he fears for his safety. “The police and the army have abandoned the city, al-Qaeda has taken down all the Iraqi flags and burned them, and it has raised its own flag on all the buildings.”

Irony: PLO Terrorist Leader Killed By Al-Qaeda Group...
Today's feel good story...
DAMASCUS (Ma’an) — A senior commander of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command was killed in the Yarmouk refugee camp in Damascus on Tuesday, the group said.
Major General Nur Addin Ibrahim, nicknamed As-Sabi or ‘beast of prey’, was killed during a routine tour after a truce had been announced in an attempt to end a months-long crisis in the Palestinian camp.
The PFLP-GC said Ibrahim was murdered by a “terrorist group,” claiming that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, a group fighting the Syrian government, planted an explosive device in Ibrahim’s car and detonated it from a distance.[...]
The Syrian army has imposed a blockade on Yarmouk refugee camp for over 80 days and there has been no electricity or fuel in the camp for months, locals say.
The PFLP-GC is aligned with embattled Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Al-Qaeda has 22 tips for dodging drones
I am not sure several of these tips will work.
1 – It is possible to know the intention and the mission of the drone by using the Russianmade
“sky grabber” device to infiltrate the drone’s waves and the frequencies. The device
is available in the market for $2,595 and the one who operates it should be a computerknow-
how.
2 – Using devices that broadcast frequencies or pack of frequencies to disconnect the
contacts and confuse the frequencies used to control the drone. The Mujahideen have had
successful experiments using the Russian-made “Racal.”
3 – Spreading the reflective pieces of glass on a car or on the roof of the building.
4 – Placing a group of skilled snipers to hunt the drone, especially the reconnaissance
ones because they fly low, about six kilometers or less.
5 – Jamming of and confusing of electronic communication using the ordinary water-lifting
dynamo fitted with a 30-meter copper pole.
6 – Jamming of and confusing of electronic communication using old equipment and
keeping them 24-hour running because of their strong frequencies and it is possible using
simple ideas of deception of equipment to attract the electronic waves devices similar to
that used by the Yugoslav army when they used the microwave (oven) in attracting and
confusing the NATO missiles fitted with electromagnetic searching devices.
7 – Using general confusion methods and not to use permanent headquarters.
8 – Discovering the presence of a drone through well-placed reconnaissance networks and
to warn all the formations to halt any movement in the area.
9 – To hide from being directly or indirectly spotted, especially at night.
10 – To hide under thick trees because they are the best cover against the planes.
11 – To stay in places unlit by the sun such as the shadows of the buildings or the trees.
12 – Maintain complete silence of all wireless contacts.
13 – Disembark of vehicles and keep away from them especially when being chased or
during combat.
14 – To deceive the drone by entering places of multiple entrances and exits.
15 – Using underground shelters because the missiles fired by these planes are usually of
the fragmented anti-personnel and not anti-buildings type.
16 – To avoid gathering in open areas and in urgent cases, use building of multiple doors
or exits.
17 – Forming anti-spies groups to look for spies and agents.
18 – Formation of fake gatherings such as using dolls and statutes to be placed outside
false ditches to mislead the enemy.
19 – When discovering that a drone is after a car, leave the car immediately and everyone
should go in different direction because the planes are unable to get after everyone.
20 – Using natural barricades like forests and caves when there is an urgent need for
training or gathering.
21 – In frequently targeted areas, use smoke as cover by burning tires.
22 – As for the leaders or those sought after, they should not use communications
equipment because the enemy usually keeps a voice tag through which they can identify
the speaking person and then locate him.

Prepare for your TSA sponsored body cavity search at the airport
Al-Qaida has upgraded their underwear bomb to nonmetallic. Also, they are experimenting with implantable bombs.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The CIA thwarted an ambitious plot by al-Qaida’s affiliate in Yemen to destroy a U.S.-bound airliner using a bomb with a sophisticated new design around the one-year anniversary of the killing of Osama bin Laden, The Associated Press has learned.
The plot involved an upgrade of the underwear bomb that failed to detonate aboard a jetliner over Detroit on Christmas 2009. This new bomb was also designed to be used in a passenger’s underwear, but this time al-Qaida developed a more refined detonation system, U.S. officials said.
The FBI is examining the latest bomb to see whether it could have passed through airport security and brought down an airplane, officials said. They said the device did not contain metal, meaning it probably could have passed through an airport metal detector. But it was not clear whether new body scanners used in many airports would have detected it.
The would-be suicide bomber, based in Yemen, had not yet picked a target or bought his plane tickets when the CIA stepped in and seized the bomb, officials said. It’s not immediately clear what happened to the alleged bomber.

Obvious: Osama bin Laden's media adviser, jihadist Adam Gadahn, hated FOX and liked MSNBC, CBS and ABC
Don't look to see this story covered on MSNBC, CBS and ABC.
Gadahn wrote much as if he were a media planner corresponding with a client. He included suggestions about the timing of video appearances after the 2010 U.S. midterm elections and use of high-definition video, and made snarky evaluations of major U.S. networks.
As I wrote last week, Gadahn hated Fox News (“falls into the abyss”); he liked MSNBC but complained about the firing of Keith Olbermann; he had mixed feelings about CNN (better in Arabic than in English) and made flattering comments about CBS and ABC. Basically, he wanted to play them all off to al-Qaeda’s best advantage. He also mentioned print journalists, most prominently Robert Fisk of The Independent of Britain. He cites three Americans (“Brian Russ,” “Simon Hirsh” and “Jerry Van Dyke”), though it’s uncertain whom he meant.

BBC: Don't call al-Qaeda 'extremist', they are only 'radical'
The BBC has instructed it's journalists to not call al-Qaeda 'extremist' or use pictures that make them look fat.
(Telegraph) — The BBC has told its journalists not to call Abu Qatada, the al-Qaeda preacher, an “extremist”.
In order to avoid making a “value judgment”, the corporation’s managers have ruled that he can only be described as “radical”.
Journalists were also cautioned against using images suggesting the preacher is overweight.
A judge ruled this week that the Muslim preacher, once described as “Osama bin Laden’s right-hand man in Europe”, should be released from a British jail, angering ministers and MPs.
A British court has called Qatada a “truly dangerous individual” and even his defence team has suggested he poses a “grave risk” to national security.
Despite that background, BBC journalists were told they should not describe Qatada as an extremist. The guidance was issued at the BBC newsroom’s 9.00am editorial meeting yesterday, chaired by a senior manager, Andrew Roy.
According to notes of the meeting, seen by The Daily Telegraph, journalists were told: “Do not call him an extremist – we must call him a radical. Extremist implies a value judgment.”

Shameful: Obama State Department Apologizes To Family of Slain "Proud to be a Traitor" al-Qaeda Propagandist
The Obama State Department has called and apologized to the family of slain al-Qaeda propagandist, Samir Khan, who was "Proud to be a Traitor."
(Jawa Report)- An official from the U.S. State Department has called the Charlotte family of al-Qaida propagandist Samir Khan to offer the government’s condolences on his death in a U.S. drone attack last week in Yemen, according to a family spokesman.
“They were very apologetic (for not calling the family sooner) and offered condolences,” Jibril Hough said about the Thursday call from the State Department to Khan’s father, Zafar.
The phone call came a day after the family released a statement through Hough that condemned the “assassination” of their 25-year-old son – a U.S. citizen – and said they were “appalled” that they had not heard from the U.S. government to discuss their son’s remains or answer questions about why Khan was not afforded due process…
Hough said the Thursday conversation lasted a few minutes. “It wasn’t just ‘I’m sorry’ and hang-up,” said Hough, who added that the phone call included no discussion of the status or condition of Khan’s remains.

Family Of Al-Qaeda Propagandist Samir Khan: "no US official has...offered us any condolences,”
They want "condolences" from the U.S. Government? We should charge them for the hellfire missile.
(AFP) — The family of a Pakistani-American al-Qaeda propagandist who died in an air strike in Yemen has hit at the US government for killing their “law-abiding” son.
Samir Khan, who was the editor of Inspire, al-Qaeda’s English-language magazine, was killed alongside US-born Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki last week in a suspected US drone strike.
But his family, who live in Charlotte, North Carolina, condemned the military operation and defended Khan in a statement released to a local newspaper and broadcasters after days of intense media scrutiny.
“It has been stated in the media that Samir was not the target of the attack; however no US official has contacted us with any news about the recovery of our son’s remains, nor offered us any condolences,” they said.
“As a result, we feel appalled by the indifference shown to us by our government,” the statement added.

Flashback: Congressional Leaders React to 9/11
Whatever you think of Former President G. W. Bush, former Senate Majority Leader Daschle and former House Speaker Hastert, they brought us together in the aftermath of 9/11. They showed al-Qaeda that we could not be divided and broken. Furthermore, they taught al-Qaeda that payback is a mother-f*cker. Would our current leaders be up to that task? Here is then Ill. State Senator Barack Obama's response to the 9/11 attack. Read it and you be the judge.

Obama tells overseas ambassadors to “minimize references to Al-Qaeda” on 9-11
The rewriting of history has begun.
(FOX)-
Nuland said the advisory to overseas ambassadors and their consular staff was motivated “primarily to ensure that embassies are marking the event, that they are having joint events in their host country to stand together against terrorism, and ensure that the day is marked appropriately internationally.”
Still, the documents, as reported in the Times¸ contained some unusual elements.
One set of guidelines urged U.S. officials to “minimize references to Al-Qaeda.” The documents cited the killing of Usama bin Laden as evidence that the terror network that plotted and executed the Sept. 11 attacks is becoming “increasingly irrelevant.”
Another talking point instructed American officials overseas to seek to universalize the commemorative day by noting: “We honor all victims of terrorism, in every nation…whether in New York or Nairobi, Bali or Belfast, Mumbai or Manila, or Lahore or London.”

New DHS AD: Hey, Watch Out For Those White Middle-Class Terrorists or Something (video)
In order to fight the enemy, you have to be able to identify the enemy. The enemy is al-Qaeda and other Islamic extremists. They are typically not white middle-class Americans. Political correctness will allow our enemies to kill more Americans.

Jihadi Workplace Accident Claims al-Qaeda Member
Goodbye and good riddance to this vermin. Sadly, his two children were killed and 20 of his neighbors were wounded.
AN al-Qaeda militant has been killed together with his two children when a car bomb he was making at his home exploded near the northern Iraq city of Kirkuk, police said.
"An al-Qaeda terrorist, Mohammed Nussayef Jasim al-Hamdani, was killed while trying to fit a bomb inside a vehicle at his home," a police official in Kirkuk said today.
"His two children, aged 10 and 11, also were killed, part of his house was destroyed, and 20 of his neighbours were wounded," he added, saying the incident occurred before midnight yesterday west of Kirkuk city.
Hamdani had been in detention on suspicion of terrorism, but was recently released due to "insufficient evidence against him," the official said.

The Downside To Arab Spring
Al Qaida is taking advantage of the opportunity to move in.
(JPost) — Over 400 al-Qaida members have made their way into the Sinai Peninsula, a senior Egyptian security official told the Al-Hayyat satellite television station on Monday.
Egyptian security officials were pursuing the terrorists, who are composed of Palestinians, Beduins and foreign Arab citizens, according to the report. The group was reportedly planning to carry out terror attacks in Egypt, the official said.
Additionally, the terrorists carried out “a number of attacks against [Egyptian]security forces in the Sinai city of El Arish,” the official told Al-Hayyat.

BBC Outed as Al Qaeda Propaganda Arm
Why am I not surprised? WikiLeaks has revealed several Al Qaeda members had a BBC phone number on their phones.
(Telegraph) — The BBC is accused of being part of a “possible propaganda media network” for Al Qaeda, according to the leaked US files on the Guantanamo detainees.
The files, obtained by the WikiLeaks website and passed to The Daily Telegraph, disclose that a phone number of someone at the BBC was found in the phone books and phones of a number of extremists seized by US forces.
A detainee assessment, dated 21 April 2007, states: “The London, United Kingdom (UK), phone number 0044 207 XXX XXXX was discovered in numerous seized phone books and phones associated with extremist-linked individuals.
