Gallop: 70% of US Jews still support Obama

It is hard to understand how any Jewish voter could support Obama.
WASHINGTON – The Jewish public in the United States seems to have taken Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s visit to Israel, as well as his dramatic statements about Jerusalem, in stride, as a recent poll revealed that the majority of Jewish voters in the US still support US President Barack Obama.
A recent Gallup poll released Saturday found that 70% of US Jews still support Obama, while the GOP’s candidate has only 25% support – similar to the support given to John McCain in 2008.
The Republicans have been vigorously courting the Jewish vote – as well as that of Israelis who hold dual nationality – during the 2012 presidential campaign, including sending several top GPO senators and congressmen to Israel.
The 2008 presidential race saw Obama win 78% of the Jewish votes in the United States.
A poll held in March found that his approval ratings among American Jewry slipped to 61%.

The most anti-Semitic president ever still enjoys tremendous support from Jewish Americans

Why? Are Jewish voters oblivious to President Obama's stance towards Israel?

Via Gallop:
PRINCETON, NJ — Jewish Americans gave President Barack Obama a 60% job approval rating in June, down from 68% in May, but statistically unchanged from 64% in April. Thirty-two percent of U.S. Jews now disapprove of the job Obama is doing, similar to their 30% average thus far in 2011.

Obama Has Lost Almost Half of His US Jewish Support

Eight out of ten Jewish Americans voted for Obama. A new McLaughlin poll has found that support has dropped to four out of ten. President Obama has been estranged from our closest ally in the Middle East. Since taking office 18 months ago, President Obama has put all the pressure for progress in peace talks on the Israelis. Recently, there has been heated exchanges over Jewish building in Jerusalem. Even liberals like Senator Chuck Schumer has criticized Obama's Israel policy. Belief among Israelis in Obama's support for Israel is in single digits and there have been anti-Obama protests.

The Washington Times reported:
It looks like a core group that supported President Barack Obama during his election is dropping their support for him by half. These kinds of numbers are astounding, and Democrats running for office in even safe blue districts should not necessarily be waving over the president during the campaign season to help them with their re-election campaigns, because no incumbent appears to be safe.

Arutz Sheva is reporting President Barack Obama has lost almost half of his support among Jewish Americans.

Does Jew Hater Ahmadinejad Have Secret Jewish Roots?

Experts have examined Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's identity card from a 2008 photo and found his family name was changed from Sabourjian. The name Sabourjian derives from "weaver of the Sabour", the name for the Jewish Tallit shawl in Persia. This name is on an official Iranian list of Jewish family names.

The London Telegraph reported:
A photograph of the Iranian president holding up his identity card during elections in March 2008 clearly shows his family has Jewish roots.

A close-up of the document reveals he was previously known as Sabourjian – a Jewish name meaning cloth weaver.

The short note scrawled on the card suggests his family changed its name to Ahmadinejad when they converted to embrace Islam after his birth.

The Sabourjians traditionally hail from Aradan...

Ali Nourizadeh, of the Centre for Arab and Iranian Studies, told the Telegraph this:
Ali Nourizadeh, of the Centre for Arab and Iranian Studies, said: "This aspect of Mr Ahmadinejad's background explains a lot about him.

"Every family that converts into a different religion takes a new identity by condemning their old faith.

"By making anti-Israeli statements he is trying to shed any suspicions about his Jewish connections. He feels vulnerable in a radical Shia society."
