Obama pimping Susan Rice for national security adviser?

Benghazi Susan may ride again...

Via The Washington Post:
UNITED NATIONS — Susan E. Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations who lost out in a bruising bid for the job of secretary of state, may have the last laugh.
Rice has emerged as far and away the front-runner to succeed Thomas E. Donilon as President Obama’s national security adviser later this year, according to an administration official familiar with the president’s thinking. The job would place her at the nexus of foreign-policy decision making and allow her to rival the influence of Secretary of State John F. Kerry in shaping the president’s foreign policy.
The appointment would mark a dramatic twist of fortune for Rice, whose prospects to become the country’s top diplomat fizzled last year after a round of television appearances in which she provided what turned out to be a flawed account of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.

Michelle Obama: Poor nutrition is a national security issue or something

Michelle Obama wouldn't know a national security issue if an Iranian missile hit her in her butt.

Via Politico:
First lady Michelle Obama said Thursday that poor nutrition in the military was a “national security issue,” and praised the armed forces for taking steps to bring healthier options onto bases.
“Our military leaders know that this is not just a diet issue; it’s not just a health issue. This is truly a national security issue,” Obama said. “According to a recent Army study, more than a quarter of our nation’s 17- to 24-year-olds are too overweight to serve in our armed forces today. And even those who make the cut often struggle in basic training.”
Obama was in Little Rock, Ark. to announce a new healthy food initiative within the Department of Defense that will bring more whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat options to 1,000 military dining facilities, affecting nearly 1.5 million troops.
“That means more DoD installations will offer the kind of fresh, healthy food that the Air Force’s Food Transformation Initiative helped bring here to Little Rock,” Obama said, referring to a pilot program launched at the Little Rock Air Force Base.

Obvious: Obama administration is promoting immigration over national security

It isn't just the President's political opponents making this claim. In internal DHS survey has found A majority of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officers believe the Obama administration is promoting immigration over national security.
(CNS News) — A majority of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officers under the Obama administration believe that their agency’s policy favors the promotion of immigration over national security, according to a 2011 survey conducted by the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) inspector general (IG). However, the director of the USCIS dismissed the data from the IG as anecdotal and not “fact-based.”
“When asked how well USCIS balances national security and promoting immigration, 130 of 252 respondents (51.6%) said that USCIS policy is too heavily weighted toward promoting immigration,” revealed a DHS IG January 2012 report entitled, “The Effects of USCIS Adjudication Procedures and Policies on Fraud Detection by Immigration Services Officers.”
Only 6 respondents (2.4 percent) believe that “USCIS policy makes national security concerns too prominent in the immigration benefit petition process,” reads the report.
The DHS IG audit, which was conducted between January and May 2011, included an online survey sent to a random selection of immigration services officers (ISOs) in all 26 USCIS districts across the country. Most respondents have been ISOs for more than three years. The questions, according to the IG, delved into the agency’s “FY 2011 performance measures, pressure to adjudicate cases, and overall impressions about the USCIS mission.”

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: “Greatest Threat to National Security is Our Debt” ( Video)

President Obama doesn't get the threat the national debt is to our country, but his Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff does.
“I was shown the figures the other day by the comptroller of the Pentagon that said that the interest on our debt is $571 billion in 2012. That is, noticeably, about the size of the defense budget. It is not sustainable.”

Video: Barbara Boxer Thinks CO2 is Biggest Threat to National Security

Thank God Barbara Boxer isn't in charge of national defense. If she were, we would stop fighting terrorism and start installing flatulence collectors on cows.

Barack Obama Thinks Climate Change is a National Security Issue

Barack Obama thinks climate change is a national security issue. President Obama is in complete denial of the Climategate scandal.
Giving the Nobel Peace Prize to US President Barack Obama “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” has been seen as a means of boosting international climate talks.

In his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech in Oslo, President Obama stressed the importance of confronting climate change:

Meanwhile, Democrats compare climate change skeptics to "teabaggers."
