LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Unhappy with the number of potential black jurors called to his court last week, Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Olu Stevens halted a drug trial and dismissed the entire jury panel, asking for a new group to be sent up.
“The concern is that the panel is not representative of the community,” said Stevens, who brought in a new group of jurors despite objections from both the defense and prosecutor.
And this wasn’t the first time Stevens, who is black, has dismissed a jury because he felt it was lacking enough minorities. Now the state Supreme Court is going to determine whether the judge is abusing his power.
On Nov. 18, after a 13-member jury chosen for a theft trial ended up with no black jurors, Stevens found it “troublesome” and dismissed the panel at the request of a defense attorney.
“There is not a single African-American on this jury and (the defendant) is an African-American man,” Stevens said, according to a video of the trial. “I cannot in good conscious go forward with this jury.” Read it all...

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar sees racists...
America has been good to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He has achieved both wealth and fame. If this were a racist country, that wouldn't have happened.
Via Politico:
Former NBA superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said Sunday “more whites believe in ghosts than they do in racism.”Racism is a systemic problem, he said on ABC’s “This Week.” Abdul-Jabbar penned an op-ed last week for Time Magazine discussing race and the racist history of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. Anyone paying attention to Sterling’s past, Abdul-Jabbar said, shouldn’t be surprised by comments made in private. For example, the Justice Department sued Sterling in 2006 for housing discrimination. And Sterling reportedly said, “Black tenants smell and attract vermin.”Racism is “something that’s still part of our culture and people hold onto these ideas and practices,” Abdul-Jabbar said. And the NBA, he said, has a responsibility to monitor the “temperature” of racial discrimination. “The NBA has to keep the issue in people’s minds when it’s appropriate,” he said.

Obama blames his sagging poll numbers on racism...
It's not racism. People are getting tired of Obama's lying and poor leadership ability.

President Barack Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorkermagazine’s website today.
“There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president,” Obama said in the article by David Remnick, appearing in the magazine’s Jan. 27 edition.
“Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president,” Obama said in his most direct comments on how race has affected his political standing since he’s been in office.

Obama Campaign manager Jim Messina: Exposing Obama's Reverend Wright Connection is Racism
Hey, Obama is the one who st through reverend Wright's garbage for 20 years.
Via Daily Caller:
Via Daily Caller:
President Barack Obama’s supporters are raising a claim of racism to quash a proposed $10 million ad-campaign that highlights the president’s personal ties to his one-time spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright.
The pushback helps the campaign minimize Obama’s association with the controversial pastor, but it also keeps the public’s focus away from the stalled economy’s high unemployment, deficit and debt.
The information campaign must be rejected by an act of “moral leadership,” the campaign claimed in a 1:35 p.m. tweet from Obama’s official Twitter account.
Campaign manager Jim Messina also hinted that the proposed ad campaign — outlined today by the New York Times — was motivated by racism.
“The blueprint for a hate-filled, divisive campaign of character assassination speaks for itself,” Messina said in a press release. “Governor Romney has fallen short of the standard that John McCain set, reacting tepidly in a moment that required moral leadership in standing up to the very extreme wing of his own party.”

New Study: Whites feel bias against them is rising
Blacks feel bias against them is declining. Whites feel it is rising for them. Is it any wonder with a President who embraced the tenets of critical race theory and an Attorney General who doesn't want to prosecute voter intimidation crimes unless they are against blacks?
Via The Daily Mail:
Via The Daily Mail:
White Americans feel they are more discriminated against than blacks, a new study reveals.
Sociologists from Harvard and Tufts universities asked 209 white and 208 black men and women to rate 'racism' against both ethnic groups since the 1950s on a scale of one to 10.
The results showed that while both blacks and whites saw anti-black racism decreasing over the decades, whites saw race relations as a 'zero sum game' where they were losing out as blacks 'gained' the advantage.
The results, published in the journal Perspectives on Psychological Science, showed that on average blacks saw anti-white bias rising slightly from 1.4 in the 1950s to 1.8 today.Blacks also perceived that racism against themselves had steeply declined from 9.7 in the 1950s to 6.1 in the 90s.
White respondents, however, saw a very different picture.
For the 2000s, 11 per cent of whites gave anti-white bias the maximum 10 out of 10 rating, compared with only two per cent of whites who did so for anti-black bias.
Whites believed that discrimination against them had increased from an average of 1.8 in the 1950s to 4.7 in the 2000s.

Republican Lawmaker Makes Racist Statements
Oops! I meant
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — An African-American lawmaker in South Carolina said Tuesday that stricter illegal immigration laws would hurt the state because blacks and whites don’t work as hard as Hispanics.
State Sen. Robert Ford made his remarks during a Senate committee debate over an Arizona-style immigration law, eliciting a smattering of nervous laughter in the chamber after he said “brothers” don’t work as hard as Mexicans. He continued that his “blue-eyed brothers” don’t either.
Once his ancestors were freed from slavery, he said, they didn’t want to do any more hard work, so they were replaced by Chinese and Japanese.
“We need these workers here. A lot of people aren’t going to do certain type of work in this country,” said Ford, D-Charleston. “The brothers are going to find ways to take a break. Ever since this country was built, we’ve had somebody do the work for us.”

WaPo Confirms Racism at Holder's DOJ

The Washington Post has confirmed racial considerations play a large role at the DOJ when the issue is enforcing voter right. Kudos to WaPo for finally doing this investigation, but we have to wonder why it took them 17 months to get around to it. WaPo has confirmed there are many in Eric Holder's DOJ who don't want to enforce voting rights if it is a black on white crime.
Civil rights officials from the Bush administration have said that enforcement should be race-neutral. But some officials from the Obama administration, which took office vowing to reinvigorate civil rights enforcement, thought the agency should focus primarily on cases filed on behalf of minorities...
"There are career people who feel strongly that it is not the voting section's job to protect white voters," the lawyer said. "The environment is that you better toe the line of traditional civil rights ideas or you better keep quiet about it, because you will not advance, you will not receive awards and you will be ostracized."
In spite of denial by the Obama administration, documents prove there was heavy political involvement in the decision to drop the Black Panther case.
Justice Department records turned over in a lawsuit to the conservative group Judicial Watch show a flurry of e-mails between the Civil Rights Division and the office of Associate Attorney General Thomas Perelli, a political appointee who supervises the division.
"Where are we on the Black Panther case?" read the subject line of a Perelli e-mail to his deputy the day before the case was dropped. Perelli, the department's No. 3 official, wrote that he was enclosing the "current thoughts" of the deputy attorney general's office, the No. 2 official.

Shirley Sherrod’s Husband: “We Must Stop the White Man and Uncle Toms From Stealing Our Elections”
Shirley Sherrod has been portrayed as a martyr after being accused of racism and forced to resign after an edited videotape of her March NAACP speech was released. The video is damning, but at the end she does speak of her redemption. Many people have been critical of the video and claimed her comments were not in context. It is going to be difficult to do the same for this January video of her husband, Charles Sherrod. How do you put the sentence, “We Must Stop the White Man and Uncle Toms From Stealing Our Elections,” in any context that doesn't seem steeped with racism?

Fun Video: MSM Speculating Right-Wing Was Responsible For Times Square Attempted Bombing
The MSM spent a lot of time speculating the Times Square attempted bombing was the work of Obama opponents, militia or some other right-wing group. How disappointed they must have been to find the attempted attack was the work of a former Pakistani Islamist. The MSM was caught with their pants down when Faisal Shahzad was arrested. How did they react? The played the race card and started complaining this would cause racism against people of Pakistani decent.

Democratic Study Finds racism is not Behind Conservative Opposition to Obama

Good news. Americans opposed to the direction President Obama is leading America are not racists. A special bonus is the group that determined this is a Democratic organization.
Politico reported:
Racism is not a factor driving conservative opposition to President Barack Obama, according to the results of focus groups conducted by Democracy Corps, a Democratic organization, released on Friday.
Nevertheless, members of the conservative base of the GOP said they believe the president is pursuing a “secret agenda” designed to push the country toward socialism.

Black Republicans Call on Democratic Party to Apologize for Racism

National Black Republican Association is calling on the Democratic Party to apologize for a 50-year history of racism. They call the Democratic Party, “the party of the four S’s: Slavery, Secession, Segregation, and now Socialism.”
From Examiner.com:
The National Black Republican Association (NBRA) has issued a petition requesting President Obama to issue a proclamation of apology to black Americans for the Democrat Party’s 150-year history of racism in America. The organization’s current newsletter, “The Democratic Party Owes Blacks an Apology” by Chairman Frances Rice, outlines the reasons for the petition.
The NBRA is not asking this of our government, our country, American citizens, nor the Republican Party. They are asking it solely from the Democrat Party. Further, they ask Democrats to stop “issuing unwarranted apologies on behalf of America, while simultaneously using racial politics for partisan political gain.”
The organization places the blame for current racial divides in America at the feet of the Democrat Party. In the newsletter, they contend the Democrat Party is “the party of the four S’s: Slavery, Secession, Segregation, and now Socialism.”
They believe the socialist policies of the Democrat Party harm blacks, rather than help them, and serve to further racial tensions through victim-mongering.
