Obama Supporters Face Buyers Remorse

The latest is Mort Zuckerman.
This health-care plan is going to be a fiscal disaster for the country. Most of the country wanted to deal with costs, not expansion of coverage. This is going to raise costs dramatically.

In the campaign, he said he would change politics as usual. He did change them. It's now worse than it was. I've now seen the kind of buying off of politicians that I've never seen before. It's politically corrupt and it's starting at the top. It's revolting.

Most Outragouse Brown Election Statement Goes to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) blames Republicans for voter anger. Incredibly, Hoyer thinks voters are mad at Republican opposition to the Democrats socialist agenda. Hoyer said,
"I think what the public is angry about is they see, first of all, an opposition for opposition's sake,"

More from The Hill:
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) on Tuesday said that angst voters have expressed early this election year is the result of GOP obstructionism, not the Democrats agenda.

Hoyer's remarks come as Republican state Sen. Scott Brown has surged in the Massachusetts special Senate election in part due to his pledge to be the GOP's 41st vote to filibuster healthcare reform legislation.

"I think what the public is angry about is they see, first of all, an opposition for opposition's sake," Hoyer told reporters.

Barney Frank Ready to Change Course on Health Care

This could be very important. Barney Frank is one of the most influential liberals in the House and he is ready to change course on health care reform and revide it to something some Republicans can support. Hmm...

Transcript via American Spectator:
“I have two reactions to the election in Massachusetts. One, I am disappointed. Two, I feel strongly that the Democratic majority in Congress must respect the process and make no effort to bypass the electoral results. If Martha Coakley had won, I believe we could have worked out a reasonable compromise between the House and Senate health care bills. But since Scott Brown has won and the Republicans now have 41 votes in the Senate, that approach is no longer appropriate. I am hopeful that some Republican Senators will be willing to discuss a revised version of health care reform because I do not think that the country would be well-served by the health care status quo. But our respect for democratic procedures must rule out any effort to pass a health care bill as if the Massachusetts election had not happened. Going forward, I hope there will be a serious effort to change the Senate rule which means that 59 votes are not enough to pass major legislation, but those are the rules by which the health care bill was considered, and it would be wrong to change them in the middle of the process.”

As a side note, Frank still thinks we need to change Senate rules to kill the filibuster, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

The Perfect Campaign Poster for 2010

The sign perfectly sums up voters feelings.

America Wins One!

Massachusetts voters dealt a blow against the socialist agenda President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have been ramming down America's throat. Republican Scott Brown has won the Massachusetts' Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy. This breaks the 60 vote filibuster proof lock liberals had on the Senate. Now, Democrats will have to negotiate with Republicans on legislation. Also, if Republicans can win in bluest of states like Massachusetts, no democrat's job is safe if they keep ignoring the voters. Look for a lot of Democrats to make a mad dash back to the middle.
In a victory few thought possible just a month ago, Republican Scott Brown defeated Democrat Martha Coakley Tuesday in the race for the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy -- a win that could grind President Obama's agenda to a halt and portend huge losses for Democrats in the November midterms.

Coakley has called Brown to concede. With 84 percent of precincts reporting, returns show Brown leading Coakley 52-47 percent. Independent candidate Joseph Kennedy was pulling 1 percent.

Olbermann: Scott Brown is a homophobic racist teabagger

I know the bar is very high, but this is may be the most shameful Keith Olbermann rant ever. He repeats almost every smear ever directed at Scott Brown and calls Brown every insult he can imagine.
“In short in Scott Brown we have an irresponsible homophobic racist reactionary ex-nude-model tea-bagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees. In any other time in our history this man would have been laughed off the stage as an unqualified and disaster in the making by the most conservative of conservatives. Instead the commonwealth of Massachusetts is close to sending this bad joke to the Senate of the United States.”

Could he have crammed anymore insults into one sentence? Also, if you are a supporter, Olbermann appears to think you must be racist too.

Polling indicates voters are ignoring Olbermann and will elect what he refers to as a "bad joke."
