President Bush doubled the number of border agents in order to improve national security in the wake of the 9-11 terrorist attacks. Now, President Obama plans to reduce that number by attrition according to his new budget proposal. If you think the gap will be covered by the new 'virtual fence,' think again. Desperate for money to continue their spending spree, President Obama and Democrats are are investigating the possibility of forcing you to invest your tax deferred 401k in 'goobermint' paper like U.S. Treasury bonds. The Chinese aren't going to keep financing our record deficits, so Team Obama has to have a Plan B. Your private retirement money is at the top of their list. Of course, we would already be buying U.S. Treasury bonds if it wasn't for low returns and concerns the skyrocketing deficit might cause the the government to default on them.

It’s probably 13 years ago when I was still practicing law, I represented ACORN and my partner in that investigation was the US Justice department in having Illinois implement what was called the motor voter law, to make sure people could go to DMV’s and driver license facilities to get registered. It wasn’t being implemented. That was my relationship and is my relationship to ACORN. There is an ACORN organization in Chicago. They’ve been active. As an elected offiical, I’ve had interactions with them. But, they’re not advising my campaign. We’ve got the best voter registration in politics right now and we don’t need ACORN’s help.
