Hillary Clinton's State Department got to "plant" questions for CBS 60 Minutes program?

The mainstream media is just the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party.
Adjectives matter in politics. The latest release of Hillary Clinton e-mails produced a little embarrassment for CBS News. State Department public-relations chief P.J. Crowley assured Secretary of State Clinton on January 28, 2011 that they successfully “planted” questions and suggestions for experts to "balance" a 60 Minutes interview segment by Steve Kroft with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

“I just received confirmation from 60 Minutes that a piece on Julian Assange will air Sunday night. He will be the only person featured. We had made a number of suggestions for outside experts and former diplomats to interview to ‘balance’ the piece. 60 Minutes assures me that they raised a number of questions and concerns we planted with them during the course of the interview. We will be prepared to respond to the narrative Assange presents during the program.”
CBS should be "See BS."

ABC, NBC and CBS spent more time on Bridgegate than VA scandal...

Because a closed bridge in New jersey is so much more important in their minds than vets dying because they can't get medical care...

Via NewsBusters:
In nearly four and a half weeks, the ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news shows have offered 110 minutes to an evolving Obama administration scandal involving secret lists designed to keep veterans from receiving proper medical treatment. Back in January, it took those same network shows just four and a half days to churn that much coverage for Chris Christie's Bridgegate. Since the VA story broke on April 23 with the news that as many as 40 veterans seeking treatment at one Phoenix facility died while on secret waiting lists, CBS has provided the most coverage, 48 minutes and 46 seconds. NBC allowed 44 minutes and 53 seconds and ABC came in last with a scant 16 minutes and 44 seconds. None of the networks bothered covering the story until May 6, almost two weeks after it broke. (This is despite heavy investigative reporting by Fox News and CNN.)

Valerie Jarrett admits “CBS This Morning” gave her a free Obamacare commercial...

CBS should change their name to SeeBS...

Via Washington Examiner:
Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett joined “CBS This Morning” on Wednesday to praise the success of President Obama’s “Between Two Ferns” interview that she coordinated with Zach Galifianakis. [...]
Jarrett acknowledged that the administration only reached 4.2 million signups in February, pointing out that there was still time to sign up before the March 31 deadline.
“Everyone who’s watching your show, I hope you go on the website today, healthcare.gov, it’s working just fine,” she said, before chuckling, “You know I’m going to get a free commercial in there.”

Report: CBS News reporter who is doggedly pursuing Benghazi story may be dropped by CBS

Bonus Fact: CBS News president is brother to a top Obama administration official...

Via The Daily Caller:
The brother of a top Obama administration official is also the president of CBS News, and the network may be days away from dropping one of its top investigative reporters for covering the administration’s scandals too aggressively.
CBS News executives have reportedly expressed frustration with their own reporter, Sharyl Attkisson, who has steadily covered the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack in Libya since late last year.
“Network sources” told Politico Wednesday that CBS executives feel Attkisson’s Benghazi coverage is bordering on advocacy, and Attkisson “can’t get some of her stories on the air.”
Attkisson, who is in talks to leave the network before her contract expires, has been attempting to figure out who changed the Benghazi talking points for more than five months.
“We still don’t know who changed talking points but have had at least 4 diff explanations so far,” Attkisson tweeted on November 27, 2012.

CBS News Poll: Romney 47%Obama 46%

This is a poll of registered voters, not likely voters. Polls of registered voters lean abut 2% to Democrats.
(CBS News) President Obama and Mitt Romney are effectively tied in the race for the presidency, according to a new CBS News/New York Times survey.

Forty-seven percent of registered voters nationwide who lean towards a candidate back Romney, while 46 percent support the president. Four percent are undecided. The one percentage point difference is within the survey's three point margin of error.

Romney leads by eight points among men; the president leads by five points among women.
The president's supporters are more likely to strongly back their candidate. Fifty-two percent strongly favor Mr. Obama, while just 29 percent of Romney voters strongly back the presumptive Republican nominee.

More than one in three Romney voters say they are supporting Romney primarily because they dislike Mr. Obama. Only eight percent of Obama supporters say their support for the president is tied to their dislike of Romney.

Republicans are more enthusiastic than Democrats when it comes to voting in this election, though just one in three registered voters overall are more enthusiastic than they were in the past. Roughly half of Republicans say they are more enthusiastic compared to past elections - up from 36 percent in March - while just 27 percent of Democrats say they same.

Obama hits the lowest level ever in CBS News polling

A new CBS poll has found just 41 percent of Americans approve of the job Obama is doing as president. That is a 9% drop in one month. Many think the high price of gas is to blame. Whatever the reason, President Obama's support appears to be very soft.
(CBS News) — President Obama’s approval rating has hit the lowest level ever in CBS News polling, according to the latest CBS News/New York Times survey. The drop may be partially attributable to rising gas prices.

Just 41 percent of Americans approve of the job Mr. Obama is doing as president, according to the poll, conducted from March 7 to 11. Another 47 percent disapprove of his performance, up from 41 percent last month.

Mr. Obama’s approval rating was 50 percent last month.

The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 12 cents over the past two weeks. The poll found that most Americans, 54 percent, believe gas prices are something a president can do a lot about.
Americans have historically felt that a president can control gas prices, though experts attribute changes to a variety of factors, many outside of a president’s control. They also felt this way when gas prices spiked during the administration of former President George W. Bush.

CBS Poll: Only 41% Think Obama Deserves Re-Election

In other news, 41% of Americans are clueless.
(CBS News)- Less than one year out from Election Day 2012, voters remain overwhelmingly pessimistic about the economy, and their concerns are taking a toll on President Obama's re-election chances. Just 41 percent of Americans think Mr. Obama has performed his job well enough to be elected to a second term, whereas 54 percent don't think so.

The president's overall approval rating remains in the mid-40's, according to a CBS News poll - lower than the approval ratings of Mr. Obama's four presidential predecessors at this point in their first terms. Mr. Obama's approval rating is dragged down by his poor marks for his handling of the economy - which, at 33 percent, is the lowest rating of his presidency in CBS News polls.

Fail: CBS Staff Sends Email to Bachmann spokesperson discussing how Bachmann won't get many debate questions

A CBS Staffer inadvertently sent an email to Bachmann spokesperson Alice Stewart discussing how Bachmann wouldn't get many debate questions.

SPARTANBURG, SC — Michele Bachmann told reporters in the spin room after Saturday night’s presidential debate here that her campaign has proof that, in the words of a Bachmann spokesperson, debate sponsor CBS News had “a pre-planned attempt to limit” the number of questions Bachmann was asked on stage.

Bachmann has an email from CBS News Political Director John Dickerson she says backs up her claims, but before the controversy could cook off, one debate co-sponsor — the South Carolina GOP — said Bachmann was barking up the wrong tree....

The email in question came from Dickerson at 2:42 Saturday afternoon. Dickerson, a longtime DC political reporter for Time and then Slate who was just announced as political director for CBS News on Saturday, was emailing with some CBS staff, but appeared to inadvertently include Bachmann spokesperson Alice Stewart on the string. The email string is below.

First came a message from CBS staffer Caroline Horn, sent to Dickerson and others that appear to be CBS News staff, with Stewart CC’d:
John, Sarah, and Mike, I was just speaking with Alice Stewart, cc’d here, about the Congresswoman or a senior member if her staff joining you for the webshow. She said she would be happy to arrange. Sarah - you want to touch base with her later tonight?
Caroline
Then comes Dickerson’s reply a few minutes later:
Okay let’s keep it loose though since she’s not going to get many questions and she’s nearly off the charts in the hopes that we can get someone else John Dickerson

CBS reporter Norah O’Donnell slips and lets liberal bias show (video)

CBS reporter Norah O’Donnell to WH Press Secretary Jay Carney,
“You gave them everything they wanted and we got nothing!”

"We got nothing?" The thin veil of mainstream media neutrality was shredded and lies on the WH Press Room floor.

CBS Poll: 43% of Americans have doubts about where Obama was born

43% of Americans have doubts abut where Obama was born. That number includes 25% who don't believe Obama was born in America and 18% who aren't sure where he is born. The mainstream media would like you to believe only Republicans and Tea Party members have doubts about Obama's official nativity story. In an obvious attempt to hide the fact many Independents and Democrats are included in this number, CBS failed to completely break down the political affiliation for this poll. The rest of the poll had the demographics broken out by Republican, Democrat and Independent. Since CBS polling only believes 25% to 30% of Americans are Republicans, it is a safe bet several Independents and Democrats have their doubts too.The CBS poll can be viewed here.

Shameful: CBS Drama “The Good Wife” Names Palin-Supporting Tea Party Character “McVeigh”

American Terrorist: Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City Bombing

CBS has conjered up images of violent right-wing radicals by naming a Tea Party member in their drama “The Good Wife”  McVeigh.
(Fox News) — The CBS drama “The Good Wife” has raised a few eyebrows by naming Gary Cole’s character, a ballistics expert, Tea Party member, and Sarah Palin supporter, “Kurt McVeigh,” a not so subtle comparison to Timothy McVeigh, the man behind the 1995 Oklahoma City bombings.

So was the writing an attempt to discredit the former Republican Vice Presidential candidate by drawing links to Timothy McVeigh, or was it a simple artistic decision?

“Calling a character ‘Kurt McVeigh’ conjures up unmistakable images of mass murdering terrorist Timothy McVeigh. Hollywood screenwriters don’t live in a cultural vacuum; they help to create American culture,” Matthew Vadum, senior editor at the Capital Research Center in Washington D.C told FOX411’s Pop Tarts.

Unbelievable! CBS's Bob Schieffer: I Didn't Ask Holder About Black Panther Case Because 'I Just Didn't Know About It' (video)

CBS’s Bob Schieffer played the vacation card as his excuse for not knowing about New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case. He claims the case didn't get much press. No kidding. The reason the case got very little press was liberal mainstream media outlets like CBS refused to report on it. Assuming Schieffer isn't being disingenuous, and that is a stretch, doesn't CBS have staffers to research and point out important news stories?

CBS News Can Not Figure Out Times Square Terrorist Motive

Here is a headline from CBS News today.

CBS News is having a hard time figuring out the motive of ex-Pakastani Faisal Shahzad, who spent time in a Taliban terrorist training camp. Hmm... He hates America and want to kill us for the glory of Islam? Oh, he also had 'Bush Derangement Syndrome' and was angry at drone attacks against the Taliban leadership. I hope this helps clear up CBS News' confusion.

Katie Couric is concerned Arizona's immigration law makes illegals “no longer feel welcome”

(Credit: CBS)

Hmm... Legal immigrants are welcomed by most Americans, but, according to a CBS poll, the majority of Americans think Arizona got it right with the new immigration law.

NewsBusters
reported:
Most support Arizona’s impending immigration enforcement law and a solid 78 percent think the federal government should do more to keep illegal immigrants from getting into the U.S. where, Katie Couric noted in citing the new poll numbers, “hundreds of thousands of them now live in Arizona.” So, how did CBS take these hardly surprising findings? Couric fretted “many” of those illegals “no longer feel welcome.”

Instead of seeing that as good news...

CBS Poll: President Obama’s overall job approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 44 percent

A CBS News Poll has found President obama job approval at a new low of 44%. This is a five point dip in one month. Obamacare isn't as popular as President Obama envisioned.

The latest CBS News Poll, conducted between March 29 and April 1, found Americans unhappier than ever with Mr. Obama’s handling of health care – and still worried about the state of the economy.

President Obama’s overall job approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 44 percent, down five points from late March...

ABC and CBS Ignore Arrest of Man Making Death Threats to Eric Cantor

When Democrats claimed they were getting treats after Obamacare passed, the mainstream media was all over the story. Meanwhile, Republican were having their offices shot at and actual videotaped death treats surfaced. A man was arrested for posting YouTube death threats against Republican Eric Cantor. ABC and NBC ignored the story. We are still waiting for arrests in the alleged treats against Democrats.

NewsBusters reported:
NBC on Monday night squeezed in a few seconds for the arrest of “a Philadelphia man for threatening the life of the number two Republican in the House of Representatives, Eric Cantor of Virginia.”

Yet after the networks led last week with less-immediate threats against Democrats, they weren’t so interested in a real case of a death threat against a Republican as neither CBS nor ABC aired a word about the arrest and NBC’s Brian Williams gave it short-shrift after leading last Wednesday with Democrats as the victims: “It's getting ugly as anger over health care reform erupts into some over-the-top rhetoric, including threats now against members of Congress.”

The Fall Continues: CBS News Poll Finds Obama Approval at Only 46%

CBS News has one of the more favorable polls for President Obama's approval. Last moth they found a 50% approval of Obama's job approval. That number has declined four percent in one month. The latest CBS News poll only found a forty-six percent job approval for President Obama.
President Obama's job approval rating has fallen to 46 percent, according to a new CBS News poll.

That rating is Mr. Obama's lowest yet in CBS News polling...

You know it's bad when the liberal media calls out Obama on bogus stimulus jobs creation numbers.
