All Lied Out: Jay Carney Quitting As White House Press Secretary
Carney has a lot of black stains to clean off his soul...
Via Time:
President Barack Obama announced Friday the departure of White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after more than three years in the post
President Barack Obama made a surprise appearance in the White House Briefing Room on Friday to announce the departure of Press Secretary Jay Carney after more than three years in the post.
Obama praised Carney, his second press secretary, and announced the selection of Principal Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest as his choice to be the next press secretary. Earnest joined Obama’s first presidential campaign in Iowa in 2007, and will take control of the ceremonial flak jacket next month.

Spokes-Liar-in-Chief: Jay Carney claims Alex Sink loss has anything to do with Obamacare...
Jay Carney is giving 'Baghdad Bob' a run for his money.
(Reuters) – The White House on Wednesday rejected Republican arguments that a Democratic congressional candidate lost a special election in Florida due to public displeasure with President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law.
Republicans have tried to connect the loss of Democrat Alex Sink to Republican David Jolly on Tuesday as a sign that Americans are eager to register their opposition to Obamacare in November congressional elections.
Obama’s Affordable Care Act had a rocky rollout in October and problems continue to plague the new system with many Americans complaining their private insurance plans were canceled.
White House spokesman Jay Carney, asked if Obamacare had been on the ballot in the special election, read remarks from Jolly himself, who said he did not see a link.
Jolly, 41, defeated Sink, a former state chief financial officer, by 3,500 votes or a 1.87 percent margin, according to local officials.
Carney said Obamacare appeared to have a neutral impact on the race, saying, “It was not a negative or a positive.”

Interesting: Jay Carney hedged Monday on whether ObamaCare’s individual mandate could be delayed
After shutting down the government to prevent House Republicans from delaying the individual mandate, if Obama does it unilaterally, he should be impeached.

Via The Hill:
White House press secretary Jay Carney hedged Monday on whether ObamaCare’s individual mandate could be delayed because of problems with the healthcare law’s enrollment web site.
Carney did not directly say the individual mandate could be delayed, but he did say that if people could not get access to ObamaCare, they would not be penalized.
Under the healthcare law, uninsured Americans are required to sign up for health insurance. If they don’t, they could be hit with a fine.
Carney was asked Monday if people would have to pay a fine if they couldn’t enroll in ObamaCare because of a glitchy website that the administration has struggled to fix.
Carney said that those “without access to affordable care due to a state not expanding Medicaid or other factors” would not be penalized. A number of states have decided against accepting federal money to expand Medicaid under ObamaCare.
Carney then dodged a question about whether the website could be one of those factors.

Obvious: Jay Carney can't cite any steps taken by President Obama to soften the impact of the government shutdown
That's because all the steps Obama has taken make the shutdown hurt more...
WASHINGTON — White House spokesman Jay Carney declined to describe any steps taken by President Obama to soften the impact of the government shutdown on Americans.
Instead, Carney tried to blame Congress for the actions of officials in Obama’s agencies who have denied use of free government services by blockading public spaces and parks, shutting down White House and agency websites, and excluding Catholic priests from military bases. [...]
Has the president “used his agency power and asked any regulator to make life easier in any way for Americans, for example … not putting out signs, not picketing parks, and restarting websites?” The Daily Caller asked Carney in the Oct. 4 White House briefing. “Please give me some examples.”
Carney evaded the question by talking about what the president believes, not what he does.
“What I can tell you the president believes that the Speaker of the House, and he’s asking —” Carney replied without offering any examples.

Shameful: WH press secretary Jay Carney uses Navy Yard shooting to political advantage
Is the push for gun control back on by democrats?
Via Beltway Confidential:
Via Beltway Confidential:
White House press secretary Jay Carney reiterated President Obama’s desire to pass gun control legislation, though he sounded cautious about appearing to use the Navy Yard shooting to political advantage.
“[I]t is far too early to say anything about who did this and the broader meaning of it,” Carney told reporters, per a live transcription. “When it comes to common sense legislation to reduce gun violence, the president has been very clear,” Carney added, recalling Obama’s frustration with congressional leaders who voted down a gun proposal in March.

Denial: Jay Carney dismisses the idea that these are scandals
Bonus, Carney claims he is "inspiring reporters to ask hard questions..."
On CNN Thursday night, however, Carney explained to Piers Morgan that he has actually enjoyed his job this week.
“Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve kind of enjoyed it,” Carney said, as Morgan asked him how his week has been.
Carney has hosted only two press briefings this week.
Carney added that the week had been “challenging” but that he enjoyed “inspiring reporters to ask hard questions” as Obama’s press secretary.

Dumped WH Benghazi emails directly contradict claims by Jay Carney and Hillary Clinton...
Jay Carney and Hillary Clinton are outed as liars...
The documents, first reported by THE WEEKLY STANDARD in articles here and here, directly contradict claims by White House press secretary Jay Carney and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the revisions of those talking points were driven by the intelligence community and show heavy input from top Obama administration officials, particularly those at the State Department.
The emails provide further detail about the rewriting of the talking points during a 24-hour period from midday September 14 to midday September 15. As THE WEEKLY STANDARD previously reported, a briefing from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence shows that the big changes came in three waves – internally at the CIA, after email feedback from top administration officials, and during or after a meeting of high-ranking intelligence and national security officials the following morning.
