Finally: Rick Sanchez Fired From CNN!

We may be safe to guess his anti-Semitic rant finally tipped CNN management over the edge. This should have happened a long time ago., but we are talking about CNN. This should be good news for MSNBC. Sanchez is available.

Politico
Reported:
CNN released this statement today:

“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“

They will broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm for the foreseeable future.

Here’s more from the story earlier today:
CNN’s Rick Sanchez is not happy with being made fun of constantly on The Daily Show and Colbert Report. It is from this jumping off point that he absolutely unleashed on Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and at times his own network, on Pete Dominick’s satellite radio show yesterday.

Rick Sanchez Forced to Admit He is Clueless (video)

Rick Sanchez denied the claim that the stimulus was supposed to keep unemployment under 8%.

He has been forced to retract that comment.

Two of the administration's top economists, Christina Romer and Jared Bernstein, estimated (pdf) that the unemployment rate would not go above 8% if the Stimulus passed.

Rick Sanchez Makes Lame Apology for Calling Obama "Cotton Picking President"

If Rick Sanchez were a conservative, he would mostly likely be forced to resign. Of course, there aren't any conservatives left at CNN.

Partial transcript via NewsBusters:
In the middle of that conversation, at one point, I said, why can't the president of the United States seem to figure this out? After all, he is the cotton-picking president of the United States. Well, soon after I said that, I started getting some Tweets from some of you, saying, you just said 'cotton-picking president of the United States' about the first black president of the United States? Without even realizing it?

I've was just saying 'cotton picking' because it's a term that I've used because I grew up in the South. It's a point that's often used to illustrate frustration- not in any way shown to use- used to show any kind of disrespect. However, I apologize nonetheless for using it, in case it was taken by anyone as an act of disrespect. So, there you go.

CNN Host Rick Sanchez: 'States Rights' Is a 'Racist Term'

Our Constitution was very carefully crafted to protect states rights from an overpowering federal government. States rights were specifically reinforced by the Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution which is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment states:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Rick Sanchez considers our Constitution and Bill of Rights to be racist.

CNN anchor Rick Sanchez calls Glenn Beck “pudgy-faced.”

CNN anchor Rick Sanchez brazenly implied FOX News is not a "real news organization." He also insulted Glenn Beck by calling him “pudgy-faced.” When Sanchez said real news organizations should not stage, promote or hype news events, I mistakenly thought he was referring to CNN. Sanchez is so busy looking for bias at FOX News, he can't see the bias at his own network.

From NewsBusters:
CNN anchor Rick Sanchez again attacked Fox News on Monday’s Newsroom, implying the channel wasn’t a “real news organization,” and bizarrely labeled Glenn Beck “pudgy-faced.” Unsurprisingly, Sanchez continued his silence concerning his own network’s left-wing bias.
