Mitt Romney’s campaign has gotten a decisive bump upwards with the selection of Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate, a new poll by JZ Analytics reveals.
The poll — the first survey conducted after Romney announced Ryan as his vice presidential choice — shows the Romney/Ryan ticket tied with Obama/Biden at 46 percent.
But a JZ Analytics poll from a few weeks ago had Obama leading Romney by 5 percentage points, and most major polls also had Obama comfortably in the lead before the Ryan selection.[...]

Palin Beats Out Obama in Person of the Year Poll

Sarah Palin topped President Obama for "person of the year" in a Zogby poll. Surprisingly, former President G. W. Bush was chosen as "person of the decade."
UTICA, NY – Former Vice-Presidential candidate and Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin is the Person of the Year for 2010 according to a recent Zogby International survey. The poll, also names former President George W. Bush as the Person of the Decade (2000-2010).
Palin garners a 21% response with President Barack Obama claiming 16% for person of the year, and Glenn Beck tied with Julian Assange with 13%. None of the other seven people listed (General David Petraeus, Mark Zukerberg, Hillary Clinton, Conan O’Brien, Steve Jobs, LeBron James, Robert Gates) in the survey pull in more than 6%.

Zogby Finds Obama Matching Previous Low

President Obama is back down to a 39% approval in the latest Zogby poll. This matches his previous low.
UTICA, New York - President Barack Obama’s job approval rating has fallen again to 39%, equaling a low since he took office. Also, 63% of likely voters say Obama is a weak leader, compared to 19% who label him strong.
Much of the slippage in Obama’s approval rating from 42% on Dec. 1 was caused by a drop of nine percentage points among Democrats (82% to 73%). His approval also went down among independents, from 39% to 36%. Just 7% of Republicans approve. His approval was also 39% on Nov. 22.

Zogby Poll Finds New Low for Obama

How low can President Obama's job approval go? A new Zogby poll has found President Obama's approval under 40% for the first time.
UTICA, New York – President Barack Obama’s job approval rating has dropped to the lowest point of his Presidency at 39%, and in potential match-ups with Republicans in 2012, he trails Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush and Newt Gingrich and is just one point ahead of Sarah Palin.
The percentage of likely voters saying the U.S. is on the wrong track is now the highest since Obama took office at 69%.

Only 16% think Obama is doing a good job handling Gulf oil spill

This is a 13 point decline in two weeks. Surprisingly, 58% still think offshore drilling is a good way to get oil.
Zogby reported:
Positive opinion about the federal government’s handling of a British Petroleum (BP) Gulf of Mexico oil spill is down 13 points from two weeks ago,...
Currently, 16% rate the federal government’s response to the spill as excellent or good. ...
Despite the spill, the percentage of adults who agree that, "Offshore drilling is still a safe, reliable and cost-efficient method of producing oil," remains unchanged from May 10 at 58%. ...

Americans Believe Debt to China is a Greater Threat to US Than Terrorism
When asked what is the greatest long-term threat to U.S. security, fifty-eight percent said debt to China. Twenty-seven percent chose terrorism. Surprisingly, a Zogby International poll found this belief crossed party lines.
(CNSNews.com) – By a two-to-one margin, American adults believe the amount of money the U.S. owes China to cover the U.S. national debt is now a greater threat than radical Islam.
According to a Zogby International poll, 58 percent said the debt was a greater concern, versus just 27 percent who chose terrorism perpetrated by “radical Islamists.”

Buyers Remorse: Only 43% Would Vote For Obama Today

President Obama has lost 10% of his voters in the last year as buyers remorse sets in. President Obama has to find his loss of support among Independents especially troubling. Continuing high unemployment and the failure of the 'Stimulus' has created a lack of confidence in President Obama's ability to create new jobs.
The Washington Examiner reported:
Only 43 percent of voters surveyed by the Zogby/O'Leary Poll would vote for President Obama less than a year after he was elected, or about the same level of support President Clinton won in 1992 in a three-way race with the first President Bush and former EDS executive and national political gadfly Ross Perot.

Zogby: Obama loses support among Democrats
Zogby reported:
The latest Zogby Interactive poll of 4,518 likely voters conducted from August 28-31 found 48% disapprove and 42% approve of the job Obama is doing. The poll found 75% of Democrats approve of Obama's performance, a drop of 13 points among Democrats from an interactive poll done July 21-24 of this year. That same poll found 48% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance, and 49% disapproving.
