Obama releases “tens of thousands” of criminal illegal because their countries won't take them back...

Why would we give these countries a choice? Either tha=ey take them or we cut off all aid and rescind all treaties.

The Obama administration has released “tens of thousands” of illegal aliens convicted of crimes in the U.S. because their home countries refused to take them back.
And a “substantial number” of those involve serious crimes, a government official said Thursday during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on so-called recalcitrant countries.
Nations like China, Liberia and Guinea often refuse to take back their own citizens after being convicted of crimes in the U.S.
The issue entered the national spotlight here after a Haitian national named Jean Jacques killed 25-year-old Casey Chadwick last year in her Connecticut apartment after being released from prison after serving 17 years in prison for attempted murder. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was unable to deport Jacques back to Haiti because the Caribbean nation refused to take him back.

I thought the prosecutorial discretion in enforcing immigration law was to allow them to focus on the criminal element. I guess that was another lie.

The Obama administration deported a record-low number of criminal immigrants over the last year, according to government figures not publicly released by the Department of Homeland Security.
The Associated Press reported that President Obama has deported fewer immigrants with criminal convictions in the United States over the past 12 months than he has during his entire time in the White House. Moreover, the number of total illegal immigrants deported in the last year was less than at any time since 2006.
The total count of immigrant deportations has sunk 42 percent since 2012. Moreover, deportations declined by 84,000 between the 2014 and 2015 fiscal years.

All told, 91,000 criminal aliens caught by the Border Patrol were deported last year, he said, compared to about 486,000 total illegal immigrants caught — a ratio of about 1 in 5. Nearly half of the criminal aliens deported had aggravated felonies on their records, Mr. Judd said.
Some Democrats blamed border violence on U.S. gun laws, saying that Mexico’s laws are strict, but Mexican cartels are able to get high-powered weapons from the U.S. and smuggle them south.

Obama administration officials only began notifying local law enforcement officials of the release of violent criminal illegal immigrants within the last two weeks, according to Arizona law enforcement officials, who say they have for years been kept in the dark about the release of illegal immigrants back into local towns.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had been keeping secret its release of illegal immigrants with violent criminal records from local law enforcement for at least two years, denying for a time that this was taking place, law enforcement officials disclosed to the Washington Free Beacon.
The public disclosure of this practice, in which Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) frees criminal illegal immigrants back into U.S. communities, came to light earlier this week, when Arizona law enforcement was made aware that three illegal aliens with violent criminal records had been released back onto the streets.

Two criminals...err...I mean federal agents charged for stealing bitcoin.

March 30, 2015 The Justice Department announced Monday it is charging two federal agents with using bitcoin to launder money while the pair investigated Silk Road, a now-defunct website where criminals relied on the digital currency to conduct illicit business.
The investigators being charged are Carl Mark Force IV, who worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration, and Shaun Bridges, a former Secret Service agent. Force is being charged with wire fraud, stealing government property, and money-laundering; Bridges is accused of of wire fraud and money-laundering.
Force and Bridges are described in a criminal complaint as abusing their positions as federal agents to "engage in a scheme to defraud a variety of third parties, the public, and the government, all for their own financial enrichment."
Force, according to the Justice Department's investigation, was an undercover agent who communicated online with Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road and a target of a separate investigation. But while on the job, Force developed a number of separate online identities in order to engage in "complex bitcoin transactions to steal from the government and the targets of the investigation," the complaint alleges.
Bridges is charged with diverting more than $800,000 in digital currency to a personal account—funds he acquired as a result of the Silk Road investigation.

GOP Food Stamps Proposal Would Discriminate Against African-Americans – Mother Jones

On Wednesday the Senate agriculture committee approved a GOP proposal that would amend the farm bill the Senate is considering to ban “convicted murderers, rapists, and pedophiles” from getting food stamps. On its surface, the idea sounds unobjectionable, but the measure would have “strongly racially discriminatory effects,” according to the non-partisan Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP).

The amendment, introduced by Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), and agreed to by unanimous consent in the committee, would bar anyone who has ever been convicted of certain violent crimes—even if they committed the crimes in their youth and have served their sentence—from ever getting food stamps (called SNAP benefits) ever again. CBPP president Robert Greenstein slammed the amendment in a statement Tuesday, calling it “stunning.” Because African Americans are incarcerated at a higher rate than other races, he says, “the amendment would have a skewed racial impact. Poor elderly African Americans convicted of a single crime decades ago by segregated Southern juries would be among those hit.” Under current law, there is only a lifetime ban on food stamps for convicted drug felons, and many states have opted out of that ban.

The measure wouldn’t just hurt ex-cons. Greenstein points out that “the amendment would mean lower SNAP benefits for their children and other family members.”

Plus the amendment could cause higher rates of recidivism. “Ex-offenders often have difficulty finding jobs that pay decent wages,” Greenstein says. “The amendment could pose dilemmas for ex-offenders who are trying to go straight but can neither find jobs nor, as a result of the amendment, obtain enough food to feed their children and families.”

Three Occupy Cleveland movement members arrested in alleged plot to bomb the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad bridge

Five people were arrested. Three are tied to the Occupy Cleveland movement. One of the three served as Occupy Cleveland movement spokesman. Democrats must be very proud. The own the Occupy movement.

Five individuals — at least three of them involved in the far-left Occupy Cleveland movement — were arrested on April 30 in Cleveland in connection with an alleged plot to bomb the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad bridge. The FBI described the arrested individuals as “anarchists.”

Brandon Baxter, one of the alleged plotters known to his associates as “Skabby,” served as a spokesman for Occupy Cleveland, telling the Cleveland Plain Dealer in early March that he felt “the powers that be, whoever they might be — on all levels of government and those who hold corporate power — are not listening, because not enough people are actually taking a stance.”

Posts on Occupy Cleveland’s Facebook page indicate that Baxter was involved in helping the organization organize and advertise events as recently as February 2012. Baxter and two of the other alleged co-conspirators — Joshua Stafford and Anthony Hayne — list Occupy Cleveland as their “Employer” on Facebook, where the three list one another as friends.

Mexican mayors ask US to stop sending their criminals back

It seems the illegal immigrant criminals we are sending back to Mexico are committing crimes in their homeland too. Mexican mayors are asking the US to stop deporting them. Sorry about their bad luck.

A coalition of Mexican mayors has asked the United States to stop deporting illegal immigrants who have been convicted of serious crimes in the U.S. to Mexican border cities, saying the deportations are contributing to Mexican border violence.

The request was made at a recent San Diego conference in which the mayors of four Mexican border cities and one U.S. mayor, San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders, gathered to discuss cross-border issues.

Obama Thinks Terrorists Are Common Criminals

There is a big difference of opinion between conservatives and liberals about how to deal with terrorism. Conservatives think Islamic terrorism is a systemic problem bred by a large branch of Islam that takes an extremely literal view of the Koran. Conservatives believe terrorism can only be prevented by a large scale war on terror that addresses the problem globally. Team Obama and liberals believe terrorist acts are isolated events committed by lunatics that should be treated as criminals. They don't believe that terrorist acts committed by Muslims have any strong connection to their religion. They think terrorists are just deranged individuals that happen to be of the Islamic faith. This is why you never hear the words "war on terror" spoken by anyone in the Obama administration. This explains their opposition to enhanced interrogation techniques. They want terrorists treated as common criminals with all the rights accorded by our judicial system. Not surprisingly, they want to try Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and four other men in a civilian New York court for the crime of plotting the 9-11 attack on the US.

The political correctness of liberals and the Obama administration will not allow them to accept the fact that Al-Qaeda and other Islamic terrorists are not a criminal organization. They are a religious group with tens of thousands of followers supported morally and financially by millions of like-minded fellow Moslems. Nothing of this scale can be solved by any criminal justice system. Trying these terrorists in a civilian court may grantee they get all the rights our judicial system accords, but who will grantee the rights of the victims of these attacks? It is not impossible to imagine our liberal court system could actually set these monsters free on some technicality. After all, OJ Simpson walked.

Obama Wants to Treat Terrorists Caught on Battlefield as Criminals

The Obama Administration has ordered FBI agents to read terrorists caught in Afghanistan their Miranda Rights. I guess Obama doesn't want them opening their mouths and telling us the location of other terrorists unless their lawyer is in approval. The Weekly Standard reported:

The Obama Justice Department has quietly ordered FBI agents to read Miranda rights to high value detainees captured and held at U.S. detention facilities in Afghanistan, according a senior Republican on the House Intelligence Committee. “The administration has decided to change the focus to law enforcement. Here’s the problem. You have foreign fighters who are targeting US troops today – foreign fighters who go to another country to kill Americans. We capture them…and they’re reading them their rights – Mirandizing these foreign fighters,” says Representative Mike Rogers, who recently met with military, intelligence and law enforcement officials on a fact-finding trip to Afghanistan.
