Stupid Tweet of the Day: Politico reporter claims rights are man-made

Here is a hint for Meredith Shiner. If rights are man-made, then it is OK for man to take them away from you. If that doesn't bring it home for you, read the Declaration of Independence.

82 UN Countries praise Saudi Arabia for women's rights...

You can't make stuff this stupid up...

Via FPM:
. . . Today’s United Nations punchline has been brought to you by billions of your tax dollars. It’s your money. You deserve a good laugh:
As the UN Human Rights Council scrutinized Saudi Arabia’s domestic rights record this morning… out of 95 countries who took the floor, 82 praised Saudi Arabia.
Hillel Neuer, executive director of the Geneva-based human rights group UN Watch, said the country is poised to win a seat on the Human Rights Council.
“A country whose legal system routinely lashes women rape victims rather than punish the perpetrators should not have been praised effusively by members of the UN’s top human rights body,” said Neuer. “Instead the world should have addressed the Saudi regime’s use of cruel, inhuman and degrading punishments, such as flogging, amputations and eye-gouging.”

The Obama administration failed to prosecute the Black Panthers for voter intimidation. A whistle-blower has also claimed they have a policy of refusing to prosecute any minority for voter rights abuse.

Michelle Malkin reported:

You can read the letter here.

Kruathammer slams the decision to give Khalid Shaikh Mohammed the rights of an American citizen (video)

Charles Kruathammer is at his best in the video embedded below. He eviscerates President Obama's and AG Eric Holder's decision to give the terrorists responsible for 9-11 the same rights as American citizens.
“I’m not sure that FDR, or Lincoln, or any of our war presidents, or Johnson, or Kennedy would take a combatant and give him the constitutional rights of an American citizen and give him a trial in civilian court. That doesn’t happen.”

Kruathammer: Giving KSM the rights of an American Citizen is Unconscionable

Allahpundit had this:
“Contrary to liberal myth, military tribunals aren’t a break with 200-plus years of American jurisprudence. Eight Nazis who snuck into the U.S. in June 1942 were tried by a similar court and most were hanged within two months. Before the Obama Administration stopped all proceedings earlier this year pending yesterday’s decision, the tribunals at Gitmo had earned a reputation for fairness and independence…"
