A British Royal Navy ship was ordered to turn its guns around because they were parked pointing at a hotel room Michelle Obama was staying in.

Fearing the First Lady might be in danger, minders ordered the captain of the HMS Edinburgh stationed in Cape Town, South Africa, to switch them away from her five-star suite.

The U.S. agents have since been accused of overreacting after it emerged the Sea Dart missiles were, in fact, loaded with blanks having been used during a ceremony in honor of a sailor who had died.

As anti-British as President Obama has been, Michelle could have been considered a hostile target.

Information about every Trident missile the US supplies to Britain will be given to Russia as part of an arms control deal signed by President Barack Obama next week.

Defence analysts claim the agreement risks undermining Britain’s policy of refusing to confirm the exact size of its nuclear arsenal.

British psychotherapist in danger of losing her job after using prayer in an attempt to cure homosexual man

They have decided to drop the "Christian" label and re-brand as “Platform 51″. It's only a matter of time before this insanity come here. Let's hope their donors drop their funding and send them a strong message.

(Telegraph) — The YWCA, which was set up in 1855 to help young women going to London for the first time, has now become “Platform 51″.

The name was chosen because 51 per cent of people are female and “women use us as a platform for having their say and for helping them into the next stage of their lives”.

The rebranding is likely to raise questions among the charity’s donors, many of whom give to it because of the organisation’s Christian links.

The British Red Cross has ordered all Christmas decorations taken down at its fund-raising shops. They are afraid of offending Muslims. Why is it Muslims that people are afraid of offending? Why aren't they afraid of offending Jews, Hindus or Buddhists?

Christmas has been banned by the Red Cross from its 430 fund-raising shops.

Staff have been ordered to take down decorations and to remove any other signs of the Christian festival because they could offend Moslems.

The charity's politically-correct move triggered an avalanche of criticism and mockery last night - from Christians and Moslems.

Lockerbie Bomber Skipped Medication and Refused Chemo to Deteriorate His Condition and Secure Release

We have now learned from the Daily Mail convicted Lockerbie bomber, Abdelbaset Al Megrahi, refused chemo and skipped medication in what appears to have been a successful attempt to secure his release on humanitarian grounds for having terminal prostrate cancer. Megrahi was supposed to have 3 months or less to live. Of course that was one year ago. We now know the doctors treating his cancer weren't even consulted before his release. After President Obama claimed he was "surprised, disappointed and angry" at the release, we have found out the U.S. Government was consulted and they backed the release. Since his release to Libya, Al Megrahi has resumed taking his medication and is undergoing chemo therapy. According to doctors, he could live ten more years. How could the British have been so stupid and naive? Oh, they wanted an oil deal for BP.

The Daily Mail reported:

Dr Andrew Fraser, the Scottish doctor responsible for assessing Megrahi’s health a year ago, had assured the Government that the bomber was resistant to treatment – assumed to mean that body was not responding. But in fact Megrahi chose to refuse the treatment, ITV have claimed. It is understood that Megrahi discussed the treatment with Scottish doctors but said he would only undergo it with support of his family, who were in Libya.

Notes of a meeting on July last year, which have been released by the Scottish Government, report that doctors told Megrahi that he needed to ‘take his medication regularly’ – suggesting that he had skipping doses that would have improved his health.

President Barack Obama's gave a set of DVDs to former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Then, he gave queen Elizabeth an iPod containing his speeches. The British are now getting even. UK Prime Minister David Cameron has returned Obama's crassness by giving him Graffiti art.

The BBC reported:

A painting by a graffiti artist was among the official gifts to Barack Obama from David Cameron on his first trip to Washington as prime minister.

The work, Twenty First Century City, is by Ben Eine, said to be one of the PM's wife Samantha's favourite artists.

The 39-year-old artist recently sprayed the entire alphabet on shop shutters in a London street.

Have you ever wondered why President Obama hates the British? His father was a Kenyan citizen and British subject. At the time of Obama's birth, Kenya was a British colony and Barack Obama became a Kenyan citizen and British subject by birth.

When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom's dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.'s children:

British Nationality Act of 1948 (Part II, Section 5): Subject to the provisions of this section, a person born after the commencement of this Act shall be a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies by descent if his father is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies at the time of the birth.

In other words, at the time of his birth, Barack Obama Jr. was both a U.S. citizen (by virtue of being born in Hawaii) and a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies (or the UKC) by virtue of being born to a father who was a citizen of the UKC. Emphasis mine.

Even though Obama's family were British citizens, they were at odds with the colonial government. President Obama's paternal grandfather was imprisoned and allegedly tortured by the British. Obama's middle name (Hussein) is from his paternal grandfather.

Obama Administration Promises To Keep "Boot On Neck" of BP

It took the Obama administration 9 days to respond to the the rig explosion and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Now they are ready to keep their "boot on the neck of British Petroleum." What a strange choice of words.

The Hill reported:

"We were stepping on the neck of BP to do everything we can do" since the explosion, Salazar said. "We've been on top of this every minute."

Salazar's boots kept walking on CNN, where he said, "Our job is keep our boot on the neck of British Petroleum and make sure they live up to their responsibilities."

What Billion Dollar Embassy Would be Complete Without a Moat?

The national deficit is skyrocketing, Americans are out of work and everyone is tightening their financial belts. Well, not exactly everyone. The Obama White House is planning a $1 billion new embassy in London. The most expensive embassy ever built will come complete with it's own moat. Yes, you read that right. The new embassy will have a moat. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

A moat 30 metres (100ft) wide and rolling parkland will separate the building from the main road, protecting it from would-be bombers and removing the need for the blast barriers that so dismayed the people of Mayfair.

Oh, this doesn't include the 17.5 per cent VAT the British are demanding.

It also does not include the 17.5 per cent VAT demanded by the Treasury on all buildings in Britain and which the US has refused to pay.

It is close to gay clubs. So, the embassy staff will have plenty of recreational opportunities.

WH Spokesman Insults British Press (video)

First, President Obama insulted British PM Gordon Brown during his March visit by denying him a full press conference and giving him cheap DVD's for a gift. Now, his Press Spokesman Robert Gibbs is insulting the British press by calling them untruthful. From Politico:

Robert Gibbs swatted down reports in British newspapers that suppressed photos of prisoner abuse included graphic ... images of torture and rape — and took a hard shot at the overseas media.

“I want to speak generally about some reports I’ve witnessed over the past few years in the British media. And in some ways, I’m surprised it filtered down,” Gibbs began. “Let’s just say if I wanted to look up — if I wanted to read a writeup today of how Manchester United fared last night in the Champion’s League cup, I might open up a British newspaper. If I was looking for something that bordered on truthful news, I’m not entirely sure it’d be in the first pack of clips I’d pick up.”

“You're not going to find very many of these newspapers and truth within 25 words of each other,” Gibbs continued.

Does Obama dislike the British?

That could be the interpretation of recent events during British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's visit to the US. After President Obama miffed PM Brown by canceling a scheduled news conference on his arrival, the British press were outraged.

But on this side of the Atlantic the whole business looked pretty demeaning. The morning papers and TV last night featured plenty of comment focused on the White House's very odd and, frankly, exceptionally rude treatment of a British PM. Squeezing in a meeting, denying him a full press conference with flags etc. The British press corps, left outside for an hour in the cold, can take it and their privations are of limited concern to the public.

Obama called a hastily arranged mini press conference in the White House. Then, he couldn't find any passionate words for our closest ally. Perhaps his teleprompter was not available.

But Obama's merely warmish words (one of our closest allies, said with little sincerity or passion) left a bitter taste with this Atlanticist. Especially after his team had made Number 10 beg for a mini press conference and then not even offered the PM lunch. (here)

Next, there was "gift gaffe." Gift exchanges are very important during state visits. They carry a lot of symbolism. PM Brown brought three valuable and thoughtful gifts to President Obama.

For his part, PM Brown gave two symbolic gifts and one that expressed national pride. Brown came bearing a pen holder carved from the timbers of the sister ship of that which gave the wood to create the famous "Resolute Desk," the desk that has been in America's charge since 1880. He also gave Obama the framed commission for that famous ship, the HMS Resolute. His third gift was a seven-volume biography of one of England's greatest leaders, Winston Churchill.

President Obama sent a staffer to Walmart or somewhere for a 25 DVD set. He actually gave a foreign head of state a few cheap DVD's.

First Brown wasn't granted a press conference with flags, then one was hastily arranged in the Oval office after the Brits had to beg. Obama looked like he would rather have been anywhere else than welcoming the British leader to his office and topped it all with his choice of present (*) for the PM. A box of 25 DVD's including ET, the Wizard of Oz and Star Wars? Oh, give me strength. We do have television and DVD stores on this side of the Atlantic. Even Gordon Brown will have seen those films too often already.

Of course, Michelle Obama made up for it by sending someone to the White House gift shop for some cheap toys for the kids.

This was coupled with Michelle Obama's casual choice of gifts for the Brown sons - matching models of the helicopter which ferry her husband around. While Sarah Brown had spent time choosing gifts for the Obama girls, Michelle had clearly sent an aide to the White House gift shop at the last moment. (here)

This is no way to treat our closest ally and best friend in the world. Obama is set to visit the Queen. I would suggest he continue this gift giving tradition by pick up some plastic pink flamingo lawn ornaments for Buckingham Palace as a gift.
