On Thursday the Examiner provided an exclusive report indicating that the Obama administration had implemented a covert program beginning in 2009 that was intended to spy on conservative, evangelical Christian churches.
That program involved infiltration — sending in government operatives
to join churches for the purpose of data collection. The government
snoops would keep their eyes and ears open for criticism of the Obama
administration, talk of Tea Party participation, conversations about gun
ownership, and a number of other issues.
But a special report issued today by Fox News indicates
that the program went far beyond infiltration and snooping. The IRS was
used to harass Christian churches if they were identified as places
where large numbers of anti-Obama citizens congregated for worship.
President Obama, who is Christian, said the gift of Christ’s grace calls him to reflect, pray and ask God for forgiveness for the times he has fallen short in showing grace to others. In February his Christian faith has been a sustaining force, particularly as he and his wife, Michelle, have heard their faith being questioned.
In addition to murdering Christians, attacking churches and burning bibles, they are demanding the death of Pastor Jones.
Islamabad (AsiaNews) - Two believers killed, churches attacked, copies of the Bible burned: the Christian community in Pakistan is once again the victim of violence by Islamic fundamentalists, who have targeted places of worship in the country. The extremist violence was triggered by the insane act - repeatedly condemned by Christians in Pakistan and India – of the pastor Wayne Sapp, who last March 20, in Florida burned a Koran under the supervision of the evangelical preacher Terry Jones...
Meanwhile, the weekend demonstrations were repeated against the burning of the Koran wanted by Pastor Terry Jones in different cities of Pakistan - among other Peshawar, Lahore and Islamabad. The demonstrators, who burned his picture and chanted slogans and chants against the United States, called for the death of U.S. preacher. Extremists also threatened reprisals and other targeted attacks against Christians, if the U.S. government fails to take action against Pastor Jones.
This is coming soon to your neighborhood is you don't vote President Obama and liberal Democrats out of office. They want to mimic European-style socialistic countries and make America more like them.
(Telegraph)- Eunice and Owen Johns are a God-fearing Christian couple, married almost 40 years, who offered a secure and loving family home to foster children aged between five and 10. But they are to be denied the opportunity to do so any longer because they are unwilling to promote a homosexual lifestyle to a child.
Neither Mr nor Mrs Johns has anything against gay people but they are not in favour of sex before marriage, whatever an individual’s orientation. Their views were denounced by Ben Summerskill, of the homosexual pressure group Stonewall, as “old-fashioned”. Yet not that long ago they would have been considered mainstream and they are, in any case, the strongly held religious views of the couple....
...Astonishingly, the High Court suggested that it was not so much their Christian faith as the moral certainties of the Johns that were potentially harmful to children.
They have decided to drop the "Christian" label and re-brand as “Platform 51″. It's only a matter of time before this insanity come here. Let's hope their donors drop their funding and send them a strong message.
(Telegraph) — The YWCA, which was set up in 1855 to help young women going to London for the first time, has now become “Platform 51″.
The name was chosen because 51 per cent of people are female and “women use us as a platform for having their say and for helping them into the next stage of their lives”.
The rebranding is likely to raise questions among the charity’s donors, many of whom give to it because of the organisation’s Christian links.
Robert Gibbs thinks Glenn Beck is ill-informed about President Obama's Christianity. Beck recently claimed the reason people doubt Obama's Christianity is he follows “liberation theology.”
President Obama is a “mainstream Christian,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Thursday, questioning why Glenn Beck has said the president follows “liberation theology.”
“People are entitled to their own opinion, as ill-informed as it may be,” Gibbs told reporters. “But they’re not entitled to their own facts.”
President Obama spent 20 years in the church of Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Obama once said,
"I don't think my church is particularly controversial."
After a recent poll that found 24% of Americans think Obama is a Muslim, the White House felt forced to reaffirm the claim he is a Christian. They claim he prays every day. However, back in 2006, Senator Barack Obama mocked the bible. Watch this video.
So much for the theory these are right wing extremists. toledoBLADE.com reported:
Most of the indicted militia members accused of being anti-government extremists have active voting records, a check with area voter registration offices showed yesterday.
One is a registered Democrat, and the party affiliations of the rest could not be determined.
Now for those who want to equate this outpouring of sharing with the idea of modern day socialism, I would suggest a short course in Biblical Theology. Christianity teaches that it is up to the individual to care for others, whereas, Socialism demands forced equality enacted by the government. Also, while it is the Christian's obligation to look after the widows and the poor, Paul specifically told the Thessalonians in his 2nd letter to them, that if a healthy able bodied brother will not work he will not eat. (2 Thessalonians 3:10) Socialism on the other hand, not only promotes but demands that those who work will feed those who are lazy and will not work. This is not what Christ taught. Jesus did not have the Good Samaritan in Luke's Gospel tell the injured man in the road to seek a government social worker. The Good Samaritan gave of what was his own willingly, not under the duress of the state. (Luke 10:25-37)
Here is the MSNBC video of Ed Schultz invoking the "Christian nation" defense for ObamaCare. If you can get through the four minute Schultz rant, the discussion at the end by Rev. Harry Jackson is very interesting.
President Obama declared that the U.S. is no longer a Christian nation while in Turkey. This flies in the face of the fact that 75 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians. A new Newsweek poll reveals that 62 percent still think the U.S. is a Christian nation. David Limbaugh at Townhall.com dissects this statement.
A Christian Nation? by David Limbaugh
President Barack Obama said in Turkey: "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."
Well, I don't know what "we" consider "ourselves," but I do think we ought to examine that statement and why Obama felt compelled to make it a part of his world apology tour.
Can you imagine the Saudi king coming to America and bragging that his nation is not Muslim? I assure you that he's not ashamed of the Islamic character of his nation, even though his nation is demonstrably less tolerant of other religions.
So is (or was) America a Christian nation? If by that we mean that America is a Christian theocracy, that our government should give Christians preferential treatment, or that members of other faiths aren't welcome, the answer is an emphatic "no."
But if we are talking about the ideals that led to the very colonization of this land, our declaration of independence from Britain, and the formulation of our Constitution, then the answer is certainly "yes." (excerpt) read more at townhall.com
