Left-wing professor update: Harvard faculty supports Democrats with donations 96% of the time...

I wouldn't have been surprised if it was 100%.

Via FOX News
Republicans running for president might as well skip any fundraisers at Ivy League universities like Harvard, where a new analysis shows 96 percent of faculty donations over the last three years went to Democrats.
Academia in general, and the elite northeastern schools in particular, have long been seen as a bastion for left-wing professors. Nationally, about two-thirds of college professors say they are liberal and less than a tenth identify themselves as conservative, according to one study. The imbalance at Harvard, uncovered by the student newspaper Harvard Crimson surprised even Harvard administrators.
“I am amazed at how high that number is,” Harvard Dean Michael D. Smith told the Crimson.

Douchebag College Professor Bans Students From Saying “Bless You” After Sneezes…

Where do they find these a-holes?

Via Campus Reform:
Students enrolled in certain classes at the College of Coastal Georgia may want to think twice about coming to class sick—or else their peers may get into trouble.
Dr. Leon Gardner, assistant professor of chemistry at the college, made it clear in his to Introductory Physics class syllabus that he does not tolerate disruptive behavior while he is teaching—and that includes everything from talking to classmates, sharpening a pencil, and to saying “bless you.”
“We are taught that it is polite to say ‘bless you’ when someone sneezes. However, if you say this while I am talking, it is NOT polite, it is very rude,” Gardner’s syllabus, which was provided to Campus Reform via email, states.

Demo Sen. Mark Pryor says he doesn't support Obama's "hard-left agenda"

If he gets re-elected he will...

Via HuffPo:
Facing an intense bid for reelection, Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) appears to be distancing himself from President Barack Obama.
In an interview with Politico published on Monday, Pryor cleared the air about where he stands in comparison to the commander-in-chief, noting that Obama “doesn’t connect well” with Arkansas.
“I think that President Obama has in some ways what you would think of as a hard-left agenda in various ways, and that agenda is not popular in our state,” Pryor said. “And a lot of that agenda I don’t support.”

Unlikely: Obama Claims, “I’m Not Driven By Some Ideological Agenda”…

Is he serious?

Via Human Events:
President Obama turned up on NBC’s “Meet the Press” for the first time since the passage of ObamaCare, and gave exactly the performance that every veteran Obama-watcher would have expected: a bitter, intransigent partisan claiming to be the only non-partisan, non-ideological participant in the “fiscal cliff” drama. “I’m not driven by some ideological agenda – I’m a pretty practical guy,” he explicitly stated, offering his past four years in office as evidence.

Democrats turn on Democrats

The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy: The Untold Story of the Democrats' Desperate Fight to Reclaim Power

The ultra left-wing of the Democratic party is afraid the regular left-wingers are going to dump them.

(WaPo)- The story exploding on the left right now is that the Obama campaign’s state director in New Mexico sent out an email containing a blog post mocking Paul Krugman and the “firebagger liberal blogosphere” for criticizing the debt ceiling deal negotiated by the White House. Liberal bloggers are asking whether this is the latest sign that the Obama team sees percentage in dumping on the left — or “hippie punching,” as the blogospheric parlance has it.

The Obama official, Ray Sandoval, circulated the email just after the debt ceiling deal passed Congress. Sandoval’s email included a blog post that hammered lefty critics for deriding the deal as a surrender, deriding Krugman as a “political rookie” and decrying critics for “pure, fanatic, indomitable hysteria.”

The term “firebagger” appears to be a reference to Firedoglake, whose bloggers frequently hammer the White House for giving too much ground to Republicans.

The Hypocrisy of Hollywood

The Left Side of the Screen: Communist and Left-Wing Ideology in Hollywood, 1929-2009

Losts of Hollywood stars have been performing for Muammar Ghaddafi's sons at New Years blowouts in St. Barts over the last few years. The list includes Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Usher, Nelly Furtado and others. They are now donating the money to charity.
Usher has become the latest celebrity to hand money to charity after accepting a hefty fee to appear at a concert connected to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

A number of stars, including Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Nelly Furtado, have admitted being paid to sing for the dictator's relatives.

Following the uprising in the country and controversy over Gaddafi's refusal to stand down as leader, all three singers have promised to hand their fee to good causes.
Mariah Carey blames the indiscretion on naivety.
Mariah’s official statement about the birthday event: “I was naïve and unaware of who I was booked to perform for. I feel horrible and embarrassed to have participated in this mess. Going forward, this is a lesson for all artists to learn from. We need to be more aware and take more responsibility regardless of who books our shows. Ultimately we as artists are to be held accountable.”
If Mariah Carey and the other stars knew in advance who they were booked to perform for is unclear. However, the information about who was paying them has been common knowledge for many months now. It isn't like Gaddafi just became a bad guy today. What took these left-wing Hollywood types so long to respond?

Left-Wing Teachers Take Students to Anti-GOP Governor Rally (Video)

 Shameful.

The MacIver Institute reported:
Many of the hundreds of Madison East High School students didn’t know why their teachers brought them to the union protests at the Wisconsin Capitol Tuesday.
But they knew they were just happy to be out of class.

Left-wingers Blame Giffords Shooting on Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Tea Party

The left jumped the gun and assumed Jared Loughner would be a right-wing nut. He is actually a left-wing nut.

Here are some of Jane Fonda's shameful tweets.

Meet Goodwin Liu: President Obama's nominee for a spot on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

No wonder Republicans oppose Goodwin Liu's appointment to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a radical leftist who believes the Constitution can be interpreted to mean anything he wants. Among his distorted views is the idea all Americans owe reparations to blacks for slavery; even if they or their ancestors came to America after slavery was ended. Here is is video of Liu explaining his twisted view on reparations for slavery.

Obama Appeals Court Nominee - Goodwin Liu - on Reparations for Slavery

Some of Goodwin Liu's other distortions of the Constitution are opposition to the death penalty and a belief in a Constitutional right for welfare.

Chris Matthews calls West Point the "Enemy Camp" (video)

Chris "thrill going up my leg" Mathews finally admits what we have suspected about the left wing of the Democratic Party all along. They view our American military personnel as the enemy and they expect President Obama to hold the same view.

Obama: The Left Wing Student Radical

The New York Times finally did a little vetting of Barack Obama. They unearthed this gem of an article from his student days.

From The Corner:
Obama: Student Radical [Andy McCarthy]

During the campaign, I wrote a piece called "Why Won't Obama Talk About Columbia? — The years he won't discuss may explain the Ayers tie he keeps lying about." So now, nearly six months into the Obama presidency, the mainstream media has finally done a bit of the candidate background reporting it declined to do during the campaign — other than in Wasilla — and whaddya know? The New York Times unearthed a 1983 article called, "Breaking the War Mentality," that Columbia student Barack Obama wrote for a campus newspaper. The article shows that Obama dreaded American "militarism" and its "military-industrial interests," while effusing enthusiasm for the dangerously delusional nuclear-freeze movement.

Moreover, while indicating a preference for the political wisdom of reggae singer Peter Tosh over Ronald Reagan or Scoop Jackson, Obama bewailed the "narrow focus" of anti-militarism activists, worrying that they were targeting the "symptoms" rather than the real "disease," namely, America's underlying economic and political injustice:

Generally, the narrow focus of the [Nuclear] Freeze movement as well as academic discussions of first versus second strike capabilities, suit the military-industrial interests, as they continue adding to their billion dollar erector sets. When Peter Tosh sings that "everybody's asking for peace, but nobody's asking for justice," one is forced to wonder whether disarmament or arms control issues, severed from economic and political issues, might be another instance of focusing on the symptoms of a problem instead of the disease itself.

Student Obama summed up with near incoherent Lefty gobbledygook:

Indeed, the most pervasive malady of the collegiate system specifically, and the American experience generally, is that elaborate patterns of knowledge and theory have been disembodied from individual choices and government policy. What the members of ARA and SAM try to do is infuse what they have learned about the current situation, bring the words of that formidable roster on the face of Butler Library, names like Thoreau, Jefferson, and Whitman, to bear on the twisted logic of which we are today a part. By adding their energy and effort in order to enhance the possibility of a decent world, they may help deprive us of a spectacular experience — that of war. But then, there are some things we shouldn't have to live through in order to want to avoid the experience.

What? Could I get a lefty to translate that last paragraph for me? A PDF file of the full Obama article is here.

Cuban Spy at State department Was Left Wing Wacko

A retired State Department employee and his wife, Walter Kendall Myers and Gwendolyn Steingraber Myers, have been charged with spying for Cuba over thirty years. The Myers did not do it for the money, they were left wing wackos who loved Castro and hated President Bush. This is reportedly the same State department employee who tried to damage our relations with the British a few years ago. From BabaluBlog and The Telegraph:
According to the UK Telegraph, it turns out that this Kendall Myers scumbag is the same State Department official who embarrassed both the US and the UK by stating to the press that Britain and the US were really not all that friendly to each other and that Britain should distance itself from the Bush administration.

Wow. This story has just taken my breath away. Do you remember the State Department analyst in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research (relatively obscure but one of the US government's intelligence agencies) who caused a storm in late 2006 with his disdainful remarks about the US-UK "special relationship?

His name was Kendall Myers and I was one of two British journalists who reported his decidedly undiplomatic comments. He retired quietly in 2007. Well, he's just been arrested as a spy for Cuba for nearly 30 years. The Cubans apparently knew him better as their Agent 202.

The most telling part of this Telegraph article is the reporter's impression of Myers when he met with him in D.C. for a drink back in 2001.

I found him to be an erudite and well-read fellow who was an interesting conversationalist and was much more indiscreet that most State Department officials. He was clearly no fan of President George W. Bush and seemed to be fit the caricature of the pro-European, soft-Left type that is often levelled at the State Department by conservatives.

I guess Myers is one of those patriotic Bush haters the left keeps telling us about.
