Hot mic moment: Reporters plot attack on Romney's Libya statement...

I am sure they do the same to Obama...

Via Right Scoop:
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: …pointing out that the Republicans… *unintelligible* …Obama….
CBS REPORTER: That’s the question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: *unintelligible*
CBS REPORTER: Yeah that’s the question. I would just say do you regret your question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Your question? Your statement?
CBS REPORTER: I mean your statement. Not even the tone, because then he can go off on…
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: And then if he does, if we can just follow up and say ‘but this morning your answer is continuing to sound…’ – *becomes unintelligble*
CBS REPORTER: You can’t say that..
**Later**
CBS REPORTER: I’m just trying to make sure that we’re just talking about, no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Do you stand by your statement or regret your statement?

Rep. Weiner to reporters: “I’m sorry I was a little stiff yesterday,”

Yes. Weiner actually said that. You just can't make stuff this good up. A Republican would have been forced to resign in shame by now., but Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner isn't a Republican and doesn't seem to have any shame. He actually seems to be enjoying the publicity.
(WaPo)- At Weiner’s office in the Rayburn building, reporters and camera crews began pulling up seats in the hallway before 7 a.m. By midday there were more than 30 people in the encampment, studio lights in the hallway and camera cables taped to the floor.

Clearly, the voluble congressman would not be able to keep his vow to zip it. His staff began to send word that he would grant TV interviews, and before long Wolf Blitzer, Bret Baier and other media heavies were arriving for their interviews.

As he walked from the House floor to his office for the interview with Baier, Weiner apologized to reporters. “I’m sorry I was a little stiff yesterday,” he said.

Did the man at the center of Weinergate really use the phrase “a little stiff”? With certitude.

Robert Gibbs Scolded Reporters In Private Meeting For Asking Too Many BP Questions

The Minister of Disinformation, Robert Gibbs, called reporters to a private meeting and scolded them for asking too many questions about the BP oil spill. The administration is trying to duck any responsibility for the spill. They are terrified this will become Obama's Katrina. The mainstream media normally plats along with the administrations deceptions. It is unclear if they can continue to do that with something of this magnitude.

Even Liberal Reporters Realize WH is Controlling the Media(video)

This is hilarious. CBS’s Chip Reid presses White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs for prepackaging events and not allowing open questioning at the planned town hall health care meeting. Then, Helen Thomas said, "I’m amazed that you people … call for openness and transparency.” Then, she brought up the prearranged Huffington Post question. Gibbs danced and said, "we have had this discussion ad nauseam." Thomas replied, "because you don't have any answers."

From NewsBusters:
Is the press corps starting to tire of the Obama Administration?

At a press conference today, Helen Thomas and CBS’s Chip Reid got into it with Robert Gibbs over how the administration has been prepackaging media events.

First Reid asked why the questions for Wednesday’s town hall on healthcare were being preselected. After Gibbs tried to dodge that question a few times, Thomas became involved, saying, “We have never had that in the White House. I’m amazed that you people … call for openness and transparency.”

Thomas said that the administration was trying to control the media, and she pointed out how they coordinated questions with the Huffington Post at a press conference.

White House reporters stand for Obama, but they sat for Bush(video)

White House reporters stand when Obama enters. However, they kept their butts in their seats when President Bush entered. So much for hoping for any kind of fairness or balance from the Main Stream Media.

WH Reporters Stand For Obama, But Not For Bush?(video via YouTube)
