Zimmerman walks...

George Zimmerman was cleared of all charges...
SANFORD, Fla. (AP) -- After a year and a half of living as a hermit, George Zimmerman emerged from a Florida courthouse a free man, cleared of all charges in the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
His brother said the former neighborhood watch volunteer was still processing the reality that he wouldn't serve prison time for the killing, which Zimmerman, 29, has maintained was an act of self-defense. A jury found him not guilty of second-degree murder late Saturday night and declined to convict him on a lesser charge of manslaughter.
However, with many critics angry over his acquittal, his freedom may be limited.
"He's going to be looking over his shoulder the rest of his life," Robert Zimmerman Jr. said during an interview on CNN.

Obamacare will now add at least $18 billion in red ink over 1st 10 years...

Change...

Via IBD:
In September 2009, President Obama promised the country that "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future."

But it turns out Obama did sign such a plan — in fact, ObamaCare could add upwards of 180 billion dimes to the deficit in its first 10 years, an IBD analysis of various official budget reports found.
According to the Congressional Budget Office's initial forecast made in March 2010, ObamaCare was supposed to cut the deficit a total of $124 billion in its first decade. Democrats seized on this to show Obama had lived up to his promise.

Almost as soon as Obama signed the law, however, his administration started making changes that added costs and cut revenues. The most recent was the one-year delay in the employer mandate.

The result is instead of a $124 billion deficit cut from 2010 to 2019, ObamaCare will likely add about $18 billion in red ink over those same years. And that assumes nothing else changes in the years ahead.

Amusing: NTSB apologizes for confirming fake Asiana Air pilot names...

The NTSB confirmed the pilots names were t"Captain Sum Ting Wong" and "Wi Tu Lo." Via The LA Times:
An intern at the National Transportation Safety Board confirmed to a Bay Area television station fake, racially insensitive names of the pilots flying the ill-fated Asiana Airlines Flight 214. The segment on Friday at noon that referred to two of the pilots as "Captain Sum Ting Wong," and "Wi Tu Lo," has gone viral and drawn heavy criticism on the Internet. Late Friday, the NTSB apologized for the incident. "Earlier today, in response to an inquiry from a media outlet, a summer intern acted outside the scope of his authority when he erroneously confirmed the names of the flight crew on the aircraft," the NTSB said in a statement. "The NTSB does not release or confirm the names of crewmembers or people involved in transportation accidents to the media. We work hard to ensure that only appropriate factual information regarding an investigation is released and deeply regret today's incident. Appropriate actions will be taken to ensure that such a serious error is not repeated," the statement added. It remains unclear how the station got the names in the first place. Two teenage girls from China and another passenger were killed and more than 180 people injured when the Boeing 777 clipped a sea wall and slammed into a runway Saturday at San Francisco International Airport.

Unlikely: White House claims immigration reform would result in a 5.4 percent growth in GDP

Don't believe it. The White House has proven they have no idea how to improve the economy.

Via Washington Examiner:
A fight has erupted over the costs of granting amnesty to the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in America, with the White House claiming the cash benefits to the Treasury are huge and will slash the deficit, and critics showing it will cost Americans more and increase the deficit.
The White House late Thursday dispatched an email to President Obama’s campaign supporters that provided a video claiming that immigration reform will result in a 5.4 percent growth in GDP as “highly skilled” workers and “entrepreneurs” add to the country’s economic base. No mention was made of low-skilled workers, the bulk of illegal immigrants in the country.
“Here’s one of the best things about immigration reform: It’s going to make our economy a lot stronger,” said the White House. “Not enough people are talking about the economic benefits of immigration reform, but it’s exactly the conversation that will help us win the national debate on this issue.”

Strange: Texas Pro-Abortion Protesters Caught With Jars of Feces and Urine...

What kind of douchebag takes jars of feces and urine to a protest?
AUSTIN, TEXAS (DPS) — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) today received information that individuals planned to use a variety of items or props to disrupt legislative proceedings at the Texas Capitol.
Therefore for safety purposes, DPS recommended to the State Preservation Board that all bags be inspected prior to allowing individuals to enter the Senate gallery, which the State Preservation Board authorized.
During these inspections, DPS officers have thus far discovered one jar suspected to contain urine, 18 jars suspected to contain feces, and three bottles suspected to contain paint. All of these items – as well as significant quantities of feminine hygiene products, glitter and confetti possessed by individuals – were required to be discarded; otherwise those individuals were denied entry into the gallery.
In the interest of the safety and security of Texas legislators and the general public, these inspections will continue until the conclusion of Senate business.

Karma: Hezbollah in Lebanon is afraid of attacks by suicide bombers...

There isn't anybody to cheer for in this conflict...

Via Times of Israel:
Fearing suicide attacks against Shi’ite targets in Lebanon, Hezbollah is adopting special security measures. According to Lebanese media reports, the Shi’ite organization has put up both fixed and mobile checkpoints in the heart of Baalbek, a Lebanese city known as a Shi’ite stronghold.
The unusual measures stem from concern about the possibility of bombings, similar to Tuesday’s incident in the Beir el-Abed neighborhood in Beirut’s Dahiyeh quarter during which 53 people were injured when an explosives-laden car exploded.
According to reports, the checkpoints were established near the city’s well-known Shi’ite study hall, or Husseiniya, named after the Imam Hussein. Similar procedures were implemented nearmosques.
Hezbollah is wary of a repeat of Tuesday’s attack and the passage of car bombs and suicide bombers from Syria to Shi’ite areas in Lebanon.
While there was no immediate claim of responsibility for that attack, there have been growing fears in Lebanon that Hezbollah could face retaliation for its now overt role fighting alongside President Bashar Assad’s troops inside Syria, including, activists say, in the embattled city of Homs near the Lebanese border.

Liberal Heartache: MSNBC’s flagship program The Rachel Maddow Show hits new ratings low

MSNBC’s flagship program The Rachel Maddow Show is MSNBC's highest rated show, but is 3rd in it's time slot.

Via Free Beacon:
MSNBC’s flagship program The Rachel Maddow Show hit another low in what has been a rough 2013, losing to HLN’s Dr. Drew in Tuesday night’s cable news ratings to take third place in the 9 p.m. time slot.
Maddow, host of the liberal network’s highest-rated show, had just 744,000 viewers, behind Dr. Drew (753,000), who spent the hour discussing the George Zimmerman murder trial, and well behind usual time slot winner Sean Hannity (1,714,000) of the Fox News Channel.
