With all the numbers tallied, out of 251 races, NRA-backed candidates won in 229, over 91 percent of Congressional races in which they endorsed a candidate.
According to the Washington Examiner, NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam explained that the Second Amendment group was able to win at this level because individual NRA members were motivated to vote for freedom. He said: “Our members came out in droves and voted for their rights and their freedom. This was one of the most successful election cycles in a decade.”
He listed some of the higher profile wins as the defeat of Senators Kay Hagan (D-NC) and Mark Pryor (D-Ark.), both of whom were replaced by NRA-endorsed candidates with an “A” rating on gun rights.
And while groups like Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety largely endorsed incumbents to pad their resume or piggy-backed on the NRA by endorsing the same candidate as the NRA in some races–Michigan Governor Rick Snyder (R) for instance–Arulanandam said the NRA threw its weight behind candidates in tough races when gun rights were on the line. One such race was in Virginia, where former pro-Second Amendment challenger Ed Gillespie (R) tried to unseat pro-gun control Senator Mark Warner (R-VA). Keep on reading...

Six Italian seismologists were previously given six years sentences for manslaughter for failing to predict earthquakes. An appeals court has now cleared them. Local citizens are angry with the decision. This is what happens when socialists control your educational system for many years.

Six seismologists accused of misleading the public about the risk of an earthquake in Italy were cleared of manslaughter on 10 November. An appeals court overturned their six-year prison sentences and reduced to two years the sentence for a government official who had been convicted with them.
The magnitude-6.3 earthquake struck the historic town of L’Aquila in the early hours of 6 April 2009, killing more than 300 people.
The finding by a three-judge appeals court prompted many L’Aquila citizens who were waiting outside the courtroom to react with rage, shouting “shame” and saying that the Italian state had just acquitted itself, local media reported. But it comes as a relief to scientists around the world who had been following the unprecedented case with alarm.

A grieving father is asking President Barack Obama to bring his son, who was killed by an illegal alien, back to life with an executive order on immigration.
“While your Executive Order pad is out, can you write one to bring my son and the tens of thousands (actually over 100,000) killed by illegal aliens back to life and to bring our destroyed families back together?” asks Don Rosenberg in a letter to Obama. His son Drew was killed by an illegal alien who ran over him in 2010.
In the letter, Rosenberg notes that President Obama’s administration refused to deport the illegal alien who killed his son.
“I know that shortly you will be issuing some sort of Executive Order protecting millions of lawbreakers, many of whom have killed people but all of whom share some responsibility for those killed,” Rosenberg wrote. “I know that you want to prevent their families from being separated. By the way, your administration refused to deport the man who killed my son. I was told, ‘He’s only committed one crime of moral turpitude.’”
