Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump recently responded to critics of his abrasive campaign rhetoric by saying he would “gladly accept the mantle of anger” because the government is being run by “incompetent people.” Voters, especially Republicans, share that sentiment.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that two-out-of-three Likely U.S. Voters (67%) are angry at the current policies of the federal government, including 38% who are Very Angry. Thirty percent (30%) say they are not angry at these policies, but that includes just nine percent (9%) who are Not At All Angry. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
This is consistent with regular surveying since 2009, and it appears this anger is finally bubbling up in support of outsider presidential candidates like Trump and Bernie Sanders. This anger peaked at 75% in 2010, the year Republicans regained control of a portion of Congress.
But voters remain even angrier with Congress: 84% feel that way, with 53% who are Very Angry. Only 13% are not angry at Congress, including three percent (3%) who are Not At All Angry. This, too, is in line with surveying for the past several years. Read more here...

Liberal Heartache: Rep. Anthony Weiner says he’s “still pissed” that Democrats gave up on public option
I have always thought Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) looked like he could use some time in anger management.
(The Hill)- Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) says he’s “still pissed” that Democrats gave up on including a public option in their healthcare reform bill.
On the heels of a federal judge’s ruling on Monday striking down the entirety of President Obama’s healthcare law as unconstitutional, Weiner expressed regret that his party abandoned a government-run health insurance option.

Angry House Dem Drops F Bomb on Obama

The unnamed democrat is angry because President Obama has agreed to give all Americans a tax cut. They dropped the F bomb on him at Thursday’s House Democratic Caucus meeting. The depth of hatred democrats have for successful Americans is astounding. It goes against their Socialist world view.
The frustration with President Barack Obama over his tax cut compromise was palpable and even profane at Thursday’s House Democratic Caucus meeting.
One unidentified lawmaker went so far as to mutter “f— the president” while Rep. Shelley Berkley was defending the package the president negotiated with Republicans. Berkley confirmed the incident, although she declined to name the specific lawmaker…
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.) was also overheard saying that “we can’t trust him” not to cave to Republicans and extend the tax cuts again in two years, according to a Democratic source.

Will Obama's Angry Base Close Their Wallets?

If this Survey USA/WaPo poll is any indication, they might. 74% of contributors to Obama’s presidential campaign are "deeply opposed" to President Obama's tax deal with Republicans.
The poll shows clearly that these contributors are deeply opposed (74%) to a deal with Republicans to extend the Bush-era tax breaks for those making over $250,000 a year. The depth of opposition to a deal is severe with former Obama contributors saying that they are less likely (57%) to support Democrats who support this deal in 2012.
A majority of the former Obama contributors surveyed also say that the President’s deal also makes them less likely (51%) to contribute to his reelection campaign in 2012.
Can you say "one termer?" Liberals are insanely angry.

Rasmussen: 66% of US Voters Are Angry at Liberal Media

A new Rasmussen survey released today has found anger at the liberal media. Sixty-six percent (66%) of U.S. voters are angry. What are they angry about? Fifty-one percent said in 2008 reporters were trying to get Obama elected. The mainstream media has been kissing Obama's butt ever since and the public is getting fed up.
Sixty-six percent (66%) of U.S. voters describe themselves as at least somewhat angry at the media, including 33% who are Very Angry....
But voters have consistently said in surveys that they believe the national media has a liberal bias and that most reporters try to help the candidates they want to win. Just before Election Day 2008, 51% said most reporters were trying to help Barack Obama win the presidency....

"Throw the Bums Out"

A new fever is gripping American voters. They are very angry at the current economic mess and other issues. There is a growing movement on the local level to "throw the bums out." Let's hope this mood transfers to the national level and carries into the 2010 Congressional elections.
The Los Angeles Times reported:
Reporting from Flint, Mich. -- As the unemployment rate topped 25% and General Motors planned to cut more jobs in this long-struggling auto town, voters decided to focus their anger on one person: Mayor Donald J. Williamson.
More than 17,000 residents signed a petition demanding his recall, citing waste, corruption, mismanagement and sundry other complaints.
Williamson resigned 10 days before the vote.
"He made people so mad," said Eric Mays, a retired GM worker who led an earlier effort to recall Williamson that failed. "He had to go."
Fueled by the recession, voters nationwide are recalling local leaders, including mayors, school board members, county officials and sheriffs.
Although there is no official tally of recall efforts, the website Ballotpedia:Recall reports at least 52 local campaigns this year -- up from the 24 last year, it said.
