Former president Jimmy Carter didn't boycott Israel when he needed a cancer drug created there...

Hypocrite...

Via Free Beacon:
Former president Jimmy Carter, who in the past has been supportive of boycotts against Israel, is having his cancer treated by a “breakthrough” drug created in the Jewish state, according to reports.
Carter, who is being treated for cancer in his liver and brain, said he has been making a recovery since taking a cancer drug known as Keytruda, which was created by Israeli doctors.
Carter has been a vocal critic of Israel.
The drug is believed to be the next generation of treatment for cancer.
Carter has not commented on the fact that this drug was made by Israeli doctors.

Bear-hugging Obama loving pizzaman fears boycott...

Scott Van Duzer claims to be a Republican who voted for Obama in 2008 and plans to vote for him again this year. If you vote Obama this year, you aren't a Republican. Change your party designation. If I lived in Florida, I would look for a pizza shop that wasn't run by a fake republican. I hate fakes.

Via Politico:
The owner of a Florida pizza shop says people are boycotting his business because he bear-hugged President Barack Obama on Sunday.
“People are saying a lot of bad things and boycotting my restaurant,” Scott Van Duzer, 46, told POLITICO. “There’s no middle line anymore, and that’s exactly what’s wrong with our country right now.”
The owner of Big Apple Pizza & Pasta Restaurant in Fort Pierce, Fla., said that both Democrats and Republicans are welcome in his store. But he also said he thinks Mitt Romney’s running mate Rep. Paul Ryan — whose sculpted abs are thanks to intense P90X training sessions — would lose to the president in a workout battle.

Tip to Democrats: Do Not Call for Economic Boycott of Your Own State if You Want to be Re-Elected

Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Arizona) lives in a very blue district where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-1. However, he made the unfortunate mistake, for him, of calling for a boycott of his own state in response to the Arizona immigration enforcement law. Now, Grijalva is in a very competitive race with Republican challenger Ruth McClung.

The Politico reported:
Party operatives say there’s increasing concern that the Arizona Democrat’s reelection bid could turn into a “sleeper” race for Republicans after Grijalva — responding to enactment of a tough new immigration law — called for an economic boycott of his own state amid a housing crisis and record unemployment...

And a recent poll, obtained by POLITICO, found that Grijalva and Republican challenger Ruth McClung, a real-life rocket scientist, were in a dead heat, even though Washington prognosticators have declared the deep-blue seat safely Democratic.

Good News! Arizona Boycotts Failing!

In an effort to fight the boycotts, The Greater Phoenix Economic Council and Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce have launched a new website. They may not need it. The boycotts seem to be failing anyway.

FOX News reported:
Recent data compiled by a market research group show hotel bookings across the state -- as well as in tourism hot spots Phoenix and Scottsdale -- have been on the rise the past two months.

Latino Baseball Players Threaten to Boycott All-Star Game in Arizona

Latino Baseball players are threatening to boycott next year’s All-Star Game if it’s held in Arizona. Latino players are upset Arizonians are trying to enforce immigration law. The citizens of Arizona should tell any boycotting baseball players, "Hasta la vista, baby."

AP reported:

“If the game is in Arizona, I will totally boycott,” the Milwaukee Brewers pitcher said Monday.

A year before Phoenix is set to host baseball’s big event, the state’s new immigration law kept drawing the attention of major leaguers.

Kansas City reliever Joakim Soria, who leads the majors with 25 saves, said he would support a Latino protest and stay away. Detroit closer Jose Valverde can see himself steering clear, too....

Signs of Arizona boycotter’s regret

Boston city councilors are showing signs of boycotter’s regret. They kept a very low profile while Arizona Governor Jan Brewer was in town. Some polls show over 80% of Massachusetts resident support Arizona. Sometimes, it's best to not let your liberal emotions get the best of you.

Red-faced Boston city councilors who boldly voted to shun the state of Arizona over its new immigration crackdown are now showing signs of boycotter’s regret.

The grandstanding pols kept a low profile when the target of their boycott came to their city on Saturday. Some acknowledged taking a pass on the much-hyped protest of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer for weekend vacations and other engagements - while one councilor even admitted the embargo was ill-conceived....

“If it had to be done all over again, there’d probably be more thought put into it and perhaps a hearing,” said Councilor John Tobin of West Roxbury. “It was an emotional issue and an emotional time. I think the sponsors were getting a lot of pressure to say something, to file something.”

Video: Obama Refuses To Condemn Arizona Boycott

Arizona Reacts To LA Boycott By Threatening To Pull The Plug On Their Electricity

Los Angeles voted to boycott Arizona in reaction to Arizona's immigration enforcement law. LA failed to consider where they get a large portion of their electricy. Now, Arizona is threatening to retaliate by pulling the plug.
An Arizona utility commissioner said he's willing to pull the plug on Los Angeles if the city goes through with a boycott of his state.

In a letter to the city of LA, a member of Arizona's power commission said he would ask Arizona utility companies to cut off the power supply to Los Angeles...

LA Voted To Boycott Arizona,, But They Get Some Of Their Electricity From Hoover Dam

Moonbats on the Los Angeles city council have voted to boycott Arizona.
City Council members who voted 13-1 in favor of the punitive measure said it could affect about $8 million in contracts with Arizona, but Los Angeles must first decide which of those agreements it can break without triggering lawsuits.

Another $50 million in contracts will remain in place but the council directed city department heads to refrain from doing future business with Arizona or companies headquartered there whenever possible.

They must have forgotten where they get their electricity. A significant portion of Arizona's electricity comes from Hoover Dam in Arizona. They also get electricity from coal powered plants in Arizona. If LA continues to buy electricity, Arizona should pull the plug.
The LADWP currently maintains a generating capacity of 7,200 megawatts, in excess of the peak demand of 6,165 megawatts by the city of Los Angeles. It provides this surplus electricity to other utilities, selling 23 million megawatt-hours in 2003. As of 2005, the LADWP operates four natural gas-fired generators within city boundaries, which account for 26% of capacity. It receives 52% of its electricity from coal-fired plants in the city as well as in Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. A further 11% is generated using nuclear power. It receives about 6% of its electricity from hydropower, most coming from Hoover Dam and the rest coming from the aqueduct system itself as the water descends from its mountain sources.

Another Great Reason to Visit Arizona: SEIU is Boycotting

Americans can safely plan their vacations and business conventions in Arizona now. They won't have to worry about encountering the purple shirted thugs of the SEIU. They have announced a boycott over the new immigration law.

The Hill reported:
One of the nation’s biggest labor organizations announced today it will boycott Arizona.

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) said its 2.2 million members will not attend any meetings or conventions in Arizona as long as the new immigration law is in place.

Michael Weiner MLBPA Executive Director

The Whiny millionaires of the Major League Baseball Players Association are upset Arizona is going to enforce immigration law. They have issues a veiled threat. Why are these foreign citizen millionaires afraid they will be asked to show their drivers license or other form of ID. You would think foreign citizens making millions of dollars in this country for playing a game would have some gratitude.

The corner reported:
The recent passage by Arizona of a new immigration law could have a negative impact on hundreds of Major League players who are citizens of countries other than the United States. These international players are very much a part of our national pastime and are important members of our Association. Their contributions to our sport have been invaluable...

“The Major League Baseball Players Association opposes this law as written. We hope that the law is repealed or modified promptly. If the current law goes into effect, the MLBPA will consider additional steps necessary to protect the rights and interests of our members.

Should Conservatives Boycott GM and Chrysler?

President Obama has flaunted the intent of bankruptcy law and trampled on the rights of bondholders and dealers in his quest to save the UAW. The government will now hold 60% of GM and a significant portion of Chrysler stock. Obama has practically nationalized GM. Is it time for Conservatives and Libertarians to boycott GM and Chrysler?
The Detroit News reported:
Washington -- A pair of right-wing radio hosts says there's only one choice for conservatives angry about government involvement in the auto industry: Boycott GM.

"Nobody wants to support an Obama company," Rush Limbaugh told his audience Friday, citing a poll showing that 17 percent of Americans backed a boycott of GM.

"Every dollar spent with GM is a dollar spent against free enterprise," conservative talker Hugh Hewitt wrote online last week.

Conservatives in Congress and elsewhere have criticized the federally sponsored restructuring plan GM will seek to execute in bankruptcy court.

The plan would give the federal government a 60 percent ownership stake in the company; lawmakers such as Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., have labeled that socialism.

The popular, controversial Limbaugh didn't outright call for a boycott, but said he understood why people would want to avoid GM vehicles. "They don't want to patronize Obama. They don't want to do anything to make Obama's policies work."

A GM spokesman declined to comment Monday.

ABC News outs CIA Psychologists

After pushing for impeachment of President Bush after Valerie Plame was outed as a CIA agent,

Is Impeachment Too Little, Too Late?
Less Than Six Months Before Bush Leaves Office, Partisan Debate Erupts

ABC News outs two CIA Psychologists,
As the secrets about the CIA's interrogation techniques continue to come out, there's new information about the frequency and severity of their use, contradicting an 2007 ABC News report, and a new focus on two private contractors who were apparently directing the brutal sessions that President Obama calls torture.

According to current and former government officials, the CIA's secret waterboarding program was designed and assured to be safe by two well-paid psychologists now working out of an unmarked office building in Spokane, Washington.

Bruce Jessen and Jim Mitchell, former military officers, together founded Mitchell Jessen and Associates.

ABC News should be boycotted until the people responsible for this leak are fired or forced out.
