Former president Jimmy Carter didn't boycott Israel when he needed a cancer drug created there...

Hypocrite...

Via Free Beacon:
Former president Jimmy Carter, who in the past has been supportive of boycotts against Israel, is having his cancer treated by a “breakthrough” drug created in the Jewish state, according to reports.
Carter, who is being treated for cancer in his liver and brain, said he has been making a recovery since taking a cancer drug known as Keytruda, which was created by Israeli doctors.
Carter has been a vocal critic of Israel.
The drug is believed to be the next generation of treatment for cancer.
Carter has not commented on the fact that this drug was made by Israeli doctors.

Snub: Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu will not meet with Jimmy Carter...

Jimmy Carter went full moonbat as he aged.

Via Washington Examiner:
Former President Jimmy Carter won’t be welcomed with open arms when he visits Israel in the coming weeks.
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a request from the former president to meet with them when he visits Israel in the coming weeks, a senior official told Haaretz.
The Foreign Ministry and the National Security Council of the Prime Minister’s Office made the decision after inner consultations over the past few days. According to the senior official, the decision was made for Rivlin and Netanyahu not to meet with Carter because of what they viewed as his “anti-Israeli” stance over the last few years.
Specifically the Foreign Ministry recommended Carter not meet with the Israeli leaders due to his stance during the summer war in Gaza in which Carter called for the removal of Hamas from the American State Department’s list of terror organizations.
Israel however did approve Carter’s request to visit Gaza during his visit to Israel.

Jimmy Carter calls anthropogenic global warming skeptics "nutcases"

Jimmy Carter calling anyone a nutcase should explode the irony meter...
ASPEN, Colo. — President Jimmy Carter called a tax on carbon emissions “the only reasonable approach” to combating climate change during an appearance here Tuesday, but lamented that even piecemeal actions are unlikely to get through a divided Congress.
Carter, 89, who received a lifetime achievement award on the final day of the American Renewable Energy Day summit, spoke during a luncheon attended by a number of conservationists as well as Ted Turner, T. Boone Pickens and Tom Steyer, the California billionaire pledging to devote his personal finances to political candidates willing to take action on climate change. [...]
“The biggest problem we have right now is some nutcases in our country who don’t believe in global warming. I think that they are going to change their position because the evidence of the ravages of global warming is coming or is already there.”

Irony: Jimmy Carter calls out Obama for incompetence...

I don't even know where to start.

Via Parade:
On how he would evaluate the Obama presidency so far:
JC: “He’s done the best he could under the circumstances. His major accomplishment was Obamacare, and the implementation of it now is questionable at best.

Stupid: Jimmy Carter compares Catholics not allowing female priests to African cultures mutilating the genitals of young girls..

I can't believe this moron once had the nuclear football...
ATLANTA (AP) — Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter says religious leaders, including those in Christianity and Islam, share the blame for mistreatment of women and girls across the world.
The 88-year-old human rights activist said Friday that male religious leaders perpetuate misguided doctrines of male superiority, from the Catholic Church forbidding women from becoming priests to some African cultures mutilating the genitals of young girls.
Carter says the doctrines contribute to a political, social and economic structure where political leaders passively accept domestic violence against women, sexual trafficking, and inequality in the workplace and classroom.
The 39th president delivered his analysis during an international conference on women and religion. He’s hosting representatives from 15 countries at The Carter Center, the human rights organization he launched in 1982 after leaving the White House.

Report: Clinton and Bush both hate Jimmy Carter

A shorter list would be who does like Jimmy Carter anymore.
WASHINGTON — Former presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush have united — in their hatred of Jimmy Carter.
The former commanders-in-chief share a disdain for their fellow ex-president because he conducted foreign policy after leaving office without any authority from the White House, according to a new book.
In “The Presidents Club: Inside the World’s Most Exclusive Fraternity,” former staffers even use the word “treason” to describe Carter’s actions.
“Carter gives the club a great gift, something for all the others to complain about,” the book by Time magazine’s Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy says.

Failed Former President Jimmy Carter Declares The Occupy Movement A Success

Nobody knows success like Jimmy Carter...
ATLANTA (AP) — Former President Jimmy Carter said on Wednesday that Occupy organizers have created a “relatively successful” movement because they focused national discussion on wealth disparity despite lacking leadership and a unifying set of goals.
The Georgia Democrat said at an event in Atlanta that Occupy organizers have succeeded in forcing the media and Congress to realize the “chasm is getting greater than leaps and bounds” between the rich and the poor.
“It’s been relatively successful even acknowledging there’s no leadership, there’s no coherence and there’s no single list of issues they want to succeed,” the former president said of the movement started late last year in lower Manhattan to decry corporate influence in government and wealth inequality.
“That issue was basically ignored by the Congress and the news media a year ago,” he said. “I believe they’ve achieved putting that back on the agenda.”

Priceless: One-Term President Jimmy Carter Gives Obama Advice On How To Win A Second Term

Let's hope Jimmy Carter's advice works as well for President Obama as it did for him.
(ABC News) — Former President Jimmy Carter has some advice for Barack Obama as he gears up for the 2012 election: Don’t alienate voters with controversial positions.
The Georgia Democrat told The Associated Press on Tuesday that just about everything he did alienated voters, from sealing a treaty to hand over the Panama Canal to establishing diplomatic ties with China.
Carter said: “If you’re main goal is to get re-elected, avoid a controversial subject as much as you can in the first term.”
Carter also faced Democratic opposition from Sen. Ted Kennedy during his 1980 re-election bid, which he said was a big handicap that Obama won’t have.
The remarks came as Iowa residents cast the first votes of the 2012 presidential race to help determine Obama’s Republican opponent.

Is President Obama Following in Jimmy Carter's Footsteps?

President Obama's polling is strongly following that of former President Jimmy Carter.
(ABC News) — President Obama’s job approval for the last quarter fell to the lowest of his administration, according to a new Gallup poll. Down four points from his previous all-time low of 45 percent, the president’s average job approval slid to just 41 percent in the 11th quarter.

Only one other elected president since Dwight D. Eisenhower had a lower 11th quarter average: President Carter, who averaged 31 percent during the same quarter, according to Gallup.

Demo Senator on Obama: 'We Are Watching Him Turn Into Jimmy Carter Right Before Our Eyes'

Republicans have been claiming Obama is the second coming of Jimmy Carter for a long time.
...Democratic lawmakers worry that the Tea Party freshmen have already “neutered” the president, as one told me. They fret that Obama is an inept negotiator. They worry that he should have been out in the country selling a concrete plan, rather than once more kowtowing to Republicans and, as with the stimulus plan, health care and Libya, leading from behind.

As one Democratic senator complained: “The president veers between talking like a peevish professor and a scolding parent.” (Not to mention a jilted lover.) Another moaned: “We are watching him turn into Jimmy Carter right before our eyes.”

Jimmy Carter Lies About Tea Party Criticism

Former President Jimmy Carter must think Americans have Alzheimer's.

Via NewsBusters:
Former president Jimmy Carter lied in an interview with NPR talk-show host Diane Rehm on Tuesday. She ended the interview by asking about the Tea Party and he claimed he had never criticized them -- despite smearing them as racists in 2009 in an NBC interview with Brian Williams:
REHM: Last question, very briefly, what do you think of the Tea Party movement?

CARTER: You know, I never have criticized the Tea Party movement because, strangely enough, I capitalized on the same kind of situation politically that has made the Tea Party successful

Here is the part of the NBC Interview they are referring too.

Jimmy Carter claimed the Tea Party was suborned by right-wing oligarchs less than a month ago.

Bill Maher: I Wish Obama Was More Like Jimmy Carter (video)

Bill Maher was on Chris Matthews' Hardball yesterday. He revealed a fondness for Jimmy Carter and said,
I love Jimmy Carter! Jimmy Carter is so honest and out there. You know sometimes, I hear people say, 'Oh, Obama, his term could become like Jimmy Carter's.' Yeah, I wish...

Obama already has raised unemployment to levels not seen since the Carter administration. Hopefully, Maher was talking about the 'one term' thing.

Video: Jimmy Carter’s National Security Adviser Uses the Dreaded “Malaise” Word

Jimmy Carter’s National Security Adviser Uses the Dreaded “Malaise” Word on Obama.

NewsBusters
reported:
Can you hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth emanating from 1600 Pennslyvania Avenue? It’s Pres. Obama & Co. reacting to Zbigniew Brzezinki pinning on Barack Obama the word that doomed Jimmy Carter: “malaise.”

On Morning Joe, Carter’s former national security adviser said there “is a sense of pervasive malaise” in America. What’s worse, suggested Zbig, Pres. Obama hasn’t been able to figure out how to deal with the malaise. Ruh-roh!

ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI: I think we’re now going through a phase in which there is a sense of pervasive malaise, which affects different groups in society in different ways. So people are dissatisfied; they’re slightly worried; they don’t see a good certain future for themselves or for the country, but in their own narrow sphere. There’s no grand mobilizing idea. And I have a sense that Obama, who started so well, and who really captivated people—he captivated me!—has not been able yet to generate some sort of organizing idea for an age which combines a malaise that’s pervasive and percolating, and complexity
