Report: U.S. in secret talks with Iranians...

Barack Obama is desperate to make a deal, ny deal, with Iran. If only he felt that way bout Republicans...

Via Arutz Sheba:
As the US and world powers approach a November 24 deadline on nuclear talks with Iran, governmental sources in the Islamic regime have reported that they are conducting secret talks with America about renewing diplomatic ties for the first time in 35 years.
Iranian government advisers spoke to the British The Times, and said secret talks with American officials have centered around the possibility of opening a US trade office in the Iranian capital of Tehran if a nuclear deal is reached.
Those talks are to continue this week, and according to the officials will take place in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, located just north of Iran on the Caspian Sea.
They added that the Iranian delegation in the covert talks is led by Mohammad Reza Sabzalipour, head of Iran's global trade bureau.

Obamanomics: US drops from list of top 10 most prosperous countries...

Another milestone in Obama's plan to destroy America...

Via Small Business Trends:
The London-based Think Tank Legatum Institute recently offered empirical evidence of what many Americans have been thinking lately. Our national well-being is slipping.
Over the past four years, prosperity has increased around the globe, while it has remained stagnant in the United States, the Legatum Institute reports. As a result, the Institute ranked the United States 12th out of 142 countries on its 2012 Prosperity Index, putting the country outside the top ten for the first time.
Returning us to prosperity is central to the agenda of our newly elected and reelected leaders. But doing so requires an understanding of the causes behind our stagnant wellbeing. The Legatum Institute finds that a decline in entrepreneurship and economic opportunity, rather than slippage in education, health, safety or personal freedom, is to blame.
In particular, the authors say that the fall in prosperity:
“. . .is driven by a decline in the number of US citizens who believe that hard work will get them ahead.”
Quite a change from traditional American attitudes.

Analyst: US credit may get downgraded again in November

Will President Obama get US credit downgraded for a second time?

Via Business Insider:
In an analyst note, BofA/ML Ethan S. Harris drops a bit of a bombshell prediction:
We expect a moderate slowdown in the beginning of next year, as two small policy shocks — anotherdebt downgrade and fiscal tightening — hit the economy. The “not-so-super” Deficit Commission is very unlikely to come up with a credible deficit-reduction plan. The committee is more divided than the overall Congress. Since the fall-back plan is sharp cuts in discretionary spending, the whole point of the Committee is to put taxes and entitlements on the table. However, all the Republican members have signed the Norquist “no taxes” pledge and with taxes off the table it is hard to imagine the liberal Democrats on the Committee agreeing to significant entitlement cuts. The credit rating agencies have strongly suggested that further rating cuts are likely if Congress does not come up with a credible long-run plan. Hence, we expect at least one credit downgrade in late November or early December when the super Committee crashes.

LA Fans Cheer for Mexican Soccer Team Over USA Team

Having a large percentage of the population loyal to another country is a very dangerous thing.
(LA Times)- It was imperfectly odd. It was strangely unsettling. It was uniquely American.

On a balmy early Saturday summer evening, the U.S soccer team played for a prestigious championship in a U.S. stadium … and was smothered in boos.

Its fans were vastly outnumbered. Its goalkeeper was bathed in a chanted obscenity. Even its national anthem was filled with the blowing of air horns and bouncing of beach balls.

Most of these hostile visitors didn't live in another country. Most, in fact, were not visitors at all, many of them being U.S. residents whose lives are here but whose sporting souls remain elsewhere.

Welcome to another unveiling of that social portrait known as a U.S.-Mexico soccer match, streaked as always in deep colors of red, white, blue, green … and gray.

Former President Jimmy Carter Accuses U.S. of “Human Rights Violations” (Video)

Shameful. Former President Jimmy Carter claims U.S. withholding food aid from militaristic North Korean dictatorship is a “Human Rights Violations.”

Call Obama a “pr*ck” and Get Banned From U.S. For Life

That is what has happened to one British teenager. If you are a foreigner and want to visit the U.S, don't criticize the 'Messiah.'

FOX News reported:
A British teenager who sent an e-mail to the White House calling President Obama a “pr*ck” was banned from the U.S. for life, The Sun reported Monday.

The FBI asked local cops to tell college student Luke Angel, 17, that his drunken insult was “unacceptable.”

Angel claims he fired off a single e-mail criticizing the U.S. government after seeing a television program about the 9/11 attacks . He said, “I don’t remember exactly what I wrote as I was drunk. But I think I called Barack Obama a pr*ck. It was silly — the sort of thing you do when you’re a teenager and have had a few.”

Video: Latino students throw US flag to ground during confrontation at US flag banning high school

Many Americans were outraged when a Principal at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill in California sent five students home for wearing clothing featuring the US flag during Cinco de Mayo. The Principal was forced to apologize. Latino students staged an anti-American flag demonstration and shouted "We want respect." The video picks up from there. This is sad.

Obama: The US is still "working on" democracy

Oh really? Democracy is working just fine in the US. Voters were fooled by the mainstream media in the 2008 election, but they will begin making corrections in November of 2010. An Obama aid had the audacity to say Obama has taken “historic steps” to improve democracy in the United States. How is changing the rules to pass a socialist takeover of health care against the wishes of the majority of Americans a “historic step?”

Foreign Policy reported:
President Obama said Sunday that the United States is still “working on” democracy and a top aide said he has taken “historic steps” to improve democracy in the United States during his time in office.

Is the US Economy Dying Under Democratic Control?

Business Insider has this 'not so rosy' view of the American Economy.
20 Reasons Why The U.S. Economy Is Dying And Is Simply Not Going To Recover

I sincerely hope they are wrong, but the idea can not be easily dismissed. In spite of the difficulties the US economy has faced in the last two years, more pain is on the way. President Obama and the Democrats controlling Congress are clueless and only interested in pursuing a liberal agenda. Perhaps, the most frightening and unexpected revelation in the article is there may be another housing market crash. You may remember the collapse of the housing market and subsequent bank crisis are the two main reasons we are in this deep recession.

Here is reason #1 from Business Insider:
The second wave of foreclosures

Do you remember that massive wave of subprime mortgages that defaulted in 2007 and 2008 and caused the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression? Well, the "second wave" of mortgage defaults in on the way and there is simply no way that we are going to be able to avoid it. A huge mountain of mortgages is going to reset starting in 2010, and once those mortgage payments go up there are once again going to be millions of people who simply cannot pay their mortgages. This chart reveals just how bad the second wave of adjustable rate mortgages is likely to be over the next several years.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad: US and Israel "don't have the courage" to attack Iran

Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said during a visit to Brazil:
"those you mention (Israel and United States) don't have the courage to attack Iran. They're not even thinking about it."

Ahmadinejad very well may be wrong about the Israelis. However, He may be right about the US as long as Barack Obama occupies the White House. It is clear the Iranians have lost all fear of the use of military force against them. Barack Obama can hint all options are on the table with the Iranians, but nobody in Iran or the US believes him.

AFP reported via Google Hosted News:

"The age of military attacks is over, now we've reached the time for dialogue and understanding. Weapons and threats are a thing of the past," the Iranian told a joint press conference with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, closing his one-day visit.

US condemns suicide attack on Iranian Revolutionary Guards (not a joke)

Over at American Thinker, they warned readers this story wasn't satire from The Onion.
The US has condemned a suicide attack on Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

From Politico via American Thinker:
The U.S. has condemned a suicide attack that killed five Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps members today.

Five commanders of Iran's Revolutionary Guards were killed in suicide attacks in Iran's southeastern Sistan-Baluchistan province bordering Pakistan, according to reports.

The Baluch group Jundullah claimed responsibility for the attack, that killed some 30 people.

Americans should remember it took several days for President Obama to strongly denounce the violence against Iranian protesters after the last election.

US Intercepts German Ship Smuggling Arms for Iran

In an embarrassing indecent for the German government, US troops boarded a German-owned freighter in early October and found eight containers full of contraband ammunition. The US was acting on an intelligence tip. Reportedly, the ammunition was headed from Iran to Syria.

SPIEGELONLINE reported:
US troops boarded a German-owned freighter in early October and found eight containers full of ammunition, allegedly headed to Syria from Iran. The shipment is in violation of a UN weapons embargo and has become a source of chagrin in Berlin.

An "embarrassing affair," is how one German diplomat described it. The official could also have added: potentially damaging to trans-Atlantic relations.

The US Sold us out

Poland was very offended at the scrapping of the missile defense in Europe. The Polish Prime minister refused to take Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's phone call:
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed today that he declined last night to take a call from the U.S. informing him of the decision to scrap planned missile-defense bases in his country.

Two U.S.-based sources close to the Polish government said Thursday that Tusk also rejected a call from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — on the grounds that, as the head of the government, he should speak to the president.

"Hillary called — and the reason he turned it down was because of protocol," said a source.

The headline from Polish tabloid eFact.pl:
Treason! Russia, the U.S. sold us.

Vladimir Putin was happy about the decision:
SOCHI, Russia (Reuters) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Friday a decision by the United States to scrap plans for a missile defense shield in Europe was positive.

Putin, speaking to investors in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, said he now expected the United States to back a bid by Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan to join the World Trade Organisation.

"I expect that after this correct and brave decision, others will follow, including the complete removal of all restrictions on the transfer of high technology to Russia and activity to widen the membership of the World Trade Organisation to (include) Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus," Putin said.

U. S. Senate Minority Report: Global Warming Debunked

Global warming is the biggest scam ever perpetrated by mankind. If the Senate passes Waxman-Markey (cap and trade), this scam will cost Americans trillions of dollars.

From the Inhofe EPW Press Blog:
Over 700 dissenting scientists (updates previous 650 report) from around the globe challenged man-made global warming claims made by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and former Vice President Al Gore. This new 2009 255-page U.S. Senate Minority Report -- updated from 2007’s groundbreaking report of over 400 scientists who voiced skepticism about the so-called global warming “consensus” -- features the skeptical voices of over 700 prominent international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN IPCC. This updated report includes an additional 300 (and growing) scientists and climate researchers since the initial release in December 2007. The over 700 dissenting scientists are more than 13 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media-hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers.

The chorus of skeptical scientific voices grow louder in 2008 and 2009 as a steady stream of peer-reviewed studies, analysis, real world data and inconvenient developments challenged the UN’s and former Vice President Al Gore's claims that the "science is settled" and there is a "consensus." On a range of issues, 2008 and 2009 proved to be challenging for the promoters of man-made climate fears. Promoters of anthropogenic warming fears endured the following: Global temperatures failing to warm; Peer-reviewed studies predicting a continued lack of warming; a failed attempt to revive the discredited “Hockey Stick”; inconvenient developments and studies regarding rising CO2; the Spotless Sun; Clouds; Antarctica; the Arctic; Greenland’s ice; Mount Kilimanjaro; Global sea ice; Causes of Hurricanes; Extreme Storms; Extinctions; Floods; Droughts; Ocean Acidification; Polar Bears; Extreme weather deaths; Frogs; lack of atmospheric dust; Malaria; the failure of oceans to warm and rise as predicted. Iraqis want US to stay longer

Many Iraqis have hoped for the day US troops would leave. As that day approaches, they are having second thoughts.

From TIMESONLINE:
For six years Iraqis in this restless provincial capital have been waiting for US forces to withdraw, in the hope that the area will return to being Iraq’s sleepy rural backwater.

However, with only days to go before the last American soldiers are due to pull out of Baquba and other Iraqi cities, the residentshaving doubts.

There are fears that a premature departure will lead to a return of sectarian violence or allow al-Qaeda to re-establish itself. Many would like the Americans to remain until security is restored permanently.

“After you guys pull out from the city I don’t know what our enemies are going to do,Thaban Hassan said. The head of an Iraqi Army battalion in Baquba, he told the American soldiers gathered in his office that “safety is not 100 per cent . . . why are the Americans leaving?”
