Democrats may peg the bat sh*t crazy meter for House Financial Services Committee
Rep. Maxine Waters may take over as top Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee after the retirement of Rep. Barney Frank. It doesn't get anymore bat sh*t crazy than her.
Wall Street executives are bracing for the possibility that Rep. Maxine Waters will take over as the top Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee after Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) retires.
Waters, an outspoken California liberal who is considered to the left of Frank on financial and housing issues, suggested in a statement Monday that she is laying the groundwork to become the senior Democrat on the panel.
“As the next most senior member of the committee, the current ranking member on the Capital Markets subcommittee and the former chair of the Housing and Community Opportunity subcommittee, I hope to use my experience to continue and expand his work in the committee,” Waters said.

Deranged Rep. Maxine Waters on "Occupy" Deaths: “that’s life and it happens”
I guess deaths, drugs, rapes, vandalism, indecent expose and assaults may be par for the course for Rep. Waters constituents, but they didn't happen at Tea Party rallies.
(CNS) – When asked to comment Wednesday about the deaths and crimes that have occurred around Occupy protests being held across the country, Rep. Maxine Waters said “that’s life and it happens.”
“That’s a distraction from the goals of the protesters,” Waters, who says she supports the Occupy movement, told CNSNews.com after an event at the Capitol sponsored by the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
“Let me just say this: Anytime you have a gathering, homeless people are going to show up,” said Waters. “They will find some comfort in having some other people out on the streets with them. They’re looking for food. Often times, the criminal element will invade. That’s life and it happens, whether it’s with protesters or other efforts that go on in this country.
“So I’m not deterred in my support for them because of these negative kinds of things,” said Waters. “I just want them to work at doing the best job that they can do to bring attention to this economic crisis and the unfairness of the system at this time.”
The Associated Press reported that there have been at least three deaths recently at or near Occupy encampments. A man was shot and killed near the scene of the Occupy camp in Oakland, Calif. A man reportedly shot himself at the Occupy camp in Burlington, Vt. And a man was discovered dead in a tent at the Salt Lake City, Utah, Occupy camp.In August, Maxine Waters had less kind words for the Tea Party. She said the Tea Party

Maxine Waters: “I don’t know who he was talking to, because we’re certainly not complaining”
Rep. Maxine Waters made this statement after President Obama told the CBC to stop whining and march.
“I don’t know who he was talking to, because we’re certainly not complaining,”Last week, Rep. Maxine Waters whined,
"...He’s invited them up to the White House to have beer. He’s invited them to come and watch the Super Bowl games. He’s done all of that, and when they eat his food and drink his beer and leave, then they go and try to kill him [on Capitol Hill]... You’ve gotta fight — you will not win this battle without fighting.”

Liberal MSM Omitted Maxine Waters Overt Threat to Tea Party
Most everyone has heard Demo Rep. Maxine Waters said,
“the Tea Party can go straight to hell"Most of the MSM ended the story there, but Waters didn't stop. She continued,
“And I intend to help them get there.”Lets listen for Democrats call for her resignation. Crickets...
(Breitbart TV) — While the media plays up the Los Angeles congresswoman’s “the Tea Party can go straight to hell’ comments from this weekend, they are ignoring what she said right after that. When the wild cheers of the audience calmed down, Rep. Waters then said: “And I intend to help them get there.”
Is there any doubt that if a Tea Party representative had said that “the Congressional Black Caucus can go straight to hell and we intend to help them get there”, we would be hearing loud condemnations about the hateful rhetoric from the extremists in the Republican Party?

Classy: Rep. Maxine Waters tells Tea Party to "...go straight to hell."
This is part of the 'reduction of vitriol plan' President Obama is now ignoring.
(LA Times)- Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) came out swinging against Republicans in Congress on Saturday as she addressed the unemployed during a forum in Inglewood.
The event occurred a day after new statistics were released showing that California's jobless rate last month went up to 12%, from 11.8%. California now has the second-highest rate of unemployment in the nation, trailing only Nevada at 12.9%, and its jobless rate is well above the U.S. average of 9.1%.
Waters vowed to push Congress to focus on creating more jobs. "I'm not afraid of anybody," said Waters. "This is a tough game. You can't be intimidated. You can't be frightened. And as far as I'm concerned, the 'tea party' can go straight to hell."
More than 1,000 people attended "Kitchen Table Summit," which was designed to give the jobless an opportunity to vent to elected officials and share their struggles about finding a job.

Demos Delay Waters, Rangel Ethics Trials Until After Election?

It appears Democrats are in no hurry to conduct ethics trials of Maxine Waters or Charles Rangel before the November election. They appear to be saving this for a lame duck session. I wonder why?
The Hill reported:
The ethics committee, according to its rules, must turn over all evidence it plans to present in a trial to the member charged at least 15 days before the beginning of the trial. Even if the panel handed over their evidence to Rangel and Waters when they return this week, the trial could not begin until the beginning of October, one month before the general election and when members plan to be home to campaign.

Unbelievable! Rep. Maxine Waters blames the Bush administration for her ethics problems!

Just when you think democrats can't stoop any lower, along comes Maxine Waters with the absurd allegation that the Bush administration is to blame for her ethics problems.
Fox News reported:
Embattled Rep. Maxine Waters on Friday blamed the Bush administration for her ethics problems -- saying she had to intervene with the Treasury Department on behalf of minority-owned banks seeking federal bailout funds -- including one tied to her husband -- because the Treasury Department wouldn't schedule its own appointments.
Read more here.
Waters is still refusing to cut a deal and she is insisting on a speedy trial. Her fellow Democrats are undoubtedly thrilled about an ethics trial of a fellow democrat in the run-up to the 2010 mid-term elections.

Bad News for Democrats, There May be Back-to-Back Ethics Trials of House Democrats
The ethical charges against Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) are well know. There have been conflicting reports about whether Rangel has been able to make a deal that would prevent an embarrassing trial. Democrats, including President Obama, seem ready to throw Rangel under the bus. Additionally, the House Ethics Committee is very close to charging Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) with ethical lapses for the $12 million in TARP money she allegedly help funnel to a bank partially owned by her husband. Waters is reportedly going to force a public trial.
The Hill reported:
Multiple news outlets reported Friday night that Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has chosen to face a trial on ethics charges.

Demo Rep. Maxine Waters is concerned the country is being run by the "Enemy Right-Wing Press" or something

The country is being run by the right-wing press? Aside from talk radio and a few blogs, the only media in the county that will report the conservative side of the news is FOX News and a few newspapers. Most journalists are liberal Democrats who voted heavily for Obama. The nonpartisan Center for Media Studies found FOX News to be the most fair and balanced in a 2007 study (small pdf). A PPP Poll released this year found FOX News the most trusted name in news among the major networks and for good reason. Of course, Maxine Waters doesn't know this information because the liberal media she is addicted to won't report the facts. Consequently, she has developed a distorted and almost deranged world view. Here is what she said today at the Urban League’s Centennial Celebration in Washington.
From ABC News:
“The enemy,” according to Waters, is the conservative media. “The same people enemy that just killed off ACORN and other things,” she said.
“The right-wing press is using that platform to literally do their organizing, to intimidate you and basically run this country.”

Rep. Maxine Waters defends Rangel by alleging all Congressmen are crooks.
On MSNBC, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said Democratic Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Charles Rangel, should not step down from his powerful committee leadership position. Rangel is accused of under reporting over one million dollars in income during the 2002 to 2006 tax years. Rep. Maxine Waters said,
This isn't just a matter of disclosure. Rangel found $1.3 million in income he allegedly forgot to report. If Rangel were very rich, he might be able to overlook $1.3 million in income. He isn't. He has reported as little as $168 thousand in some recent income years. Rangel has a long history of tax problems.
The Hill reported:
"I want to tell you, there are many members who, if you go back over all of their records, over all of the years, you're going to find that there were disclosures that were not made,

The Hill reported:
"Many members" of Congress suffer from the same disclosure issues as Rep. Charles Rangel (D.N.Y.), one of his allies said Wednesday.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) downplayed the seriousness of allegations against Rangel that he failed to disclose sources of income and pay taxes on some properties, saying that many lawmakers suffer from innocent lapses in judgment when filing mandatory financial disclosure forms.
"I want to tell you, there are many members who, if you go back over all of their records, over all of the years, you're going to find that there were disclosures that were not made," Waters said during an appearance on MSNBC Wednesday morning.

Rep. Maxine Waters: Probe Protesters at rallies for racist thoughts

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) wants the media to be "all over those rallies and the marches with the birthers and the teabaggers." She is concerned protesters are "very strange" because they don't support Obamacare. Liberals have been so biased by their political views and the mainstream media created "cult of personality" surrounding President Obama, they think anyone who fails to support Obama must be racist or a lunatic.
The Hill reported:
“What I’m looking for is the very people who carry the signs who are referring to the policies in very, very strange ways like ‘Obamacare’ and ‘Barry Obamacare with Kennedy,’” she said. “What I’ve been interested in is hearing from those people that everybody’s referring to — everybody on the Mall, in the rally.”
