Five Nobel Prize Winning Economists Endorse Mitt Romney

The total number of economists endorsing Romney is now over 400.
A former conservative official has rallied 400 economists, including five Nobel Prize winners, to sign a statement supporting Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney’s economic policies.

Nobel Prize-winning economists Gary Becker, Robert Lucas, Robert Mundell, Edward Prescott and Myron Scholes are among the names listed on the website, Economists for Romney.

The site's founder, James Carter, was a deputy assistant Treasury secretary of former President George W. Bush. Economists for Romney describes itself as “an independent, voluntary association of economists” supporting the former Massachusetts governor and says it “is not an official arm of the 2012 Mitt Romney campaign.”

Good News: Communist Party USA Endorses Obama For The 2012 Election

Birds of a feather flock together...

Via WND:
It may be early in the campaign season, but the Communist Party USA already has seen fit to endorse Barack Obama for the 2012 election.

While noting he is disappointed with “some aspects” of the Obama administration’s domestic and foreign policy, Sam Webb, chairman of the Communist Party USA, threw his support behind Obama’s re-election bid.

Good News: Pravda Endorses Obama

Looks like Russia wants to find out exactly how much more flexible President Obama will be if he is re-elected.

Via The Weekly Standard:
Pravda is hitting Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney over comments he made about Russia. "Russia is the geopolitical foe," Romney said earlier this week in response to President Obama telling his Russian counterpart to give him "space" so that he could have "more flexibility" after the 2012 presidential election.

So, in an op-ed today posted on Pravda's website, the infamous former Soviet newspaper writes, "Electing Mitt Romney as the next President of the United States of America would be like appointing a serial paedophile as a kindergarten teacher, a rapist as a janitor at a girls' dormitory or a psychopath with a fixation on knives as a kitchen hand. His comments on Russia are a puerile attempt at making the grand stage and boy, did he blow it..."

Then, Pravda praises present Russian relations with the United States under President Obama. "Exactly at a time when Russia and the USA are finding that they have far more in common than differences, exactly when they see that they are much more friends than foes, when they see that there is so much to be gained through collaboration,[...]

GOP 2012 presidential candidate Jon Huntsman gets the coveted Harry Reid endorsement

Jon Huntsman's campaign is off to a horrible start. ABC Huntsman campaign (correction) misspells his name (above) and Harry Reid endorses him.
Washington (CNN) – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid ventured into the 2012 presidential waiting game Tuesday, offering up his pick for the Republican presidential nomination.

"If I had a choice, I would favor Huntsman over Romney," Reid told reporters after a meeting on Capitol Hill. "But I don't have a choice in that race."

Stay tuned. Nancy Pelosi's endorsement can't be far away.

Russia Endorses Obama Second Term

No surprise here.
(Moscow Times) — Amid growing anxiety over whose name will appear on the 2012 presidential ballot, lawmakers and pundits were quick to welcome the news that one president would certainly stand for re-election next year — Barack Obama.

The U.S. president’s announcement, made in an e-mail to supporters Monday, sent many in Moscow praising the achievements of a “reset” in relations that has become a hallmark of both Obama’s and Dmitry Medvedev’s presidencies.

“I will be very happy to see a second Obama term because this will mean a maximum in policy continuity regarding Russia,” Mikhail Fedotov, head of Medvedev’s human right’s council, said by telephone Tuesday.

NOW Endorses Jerry Brown After Meg Whitman "Whore" Reference

The National Organization for Women had a choice between a strong female candidate, who is pro-choice, and a male candidate who approved calling that woman a "whore." You already know who the hypocrites at NOW chose to endorse in the California Governor's race. NOW has been officially outed as an organ of the Democratic Party.

The LA Times reported:
Jerry Brown announced he has received the endorsement of the National Organization for Women, less than 24 hours after the emergence of a recorded message in which Brown can be heard in a conversation with advisors in which someone calls Whitman a “whore.” Coincidence? You be the judge.

Arpaio is known for his efforts against illegal immigration and Angle is among his many supporters.

She has said every state needs a sheriff like Arpaio.

Dr. James Dobson Switches Endorsement in Kentucky Senate Race to Rand Paul

Dr. James Dobson says he was misled by "Senior Members of the GOP." He was told Rand Paul was pro-choice. That is false. Was this misinformation from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell? McConnell is supporting Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson.

Businesswire reported the text of Dobson's statement:
Have you ever made an embarrassing mistake? I did just that last week. I was given misleading information about the candidacy of Dr. Rand Paul, who is running in the Republican Primary for the U.S. Senate. Senior members of the GOP told me Dr. Paul is pro-choice and that he opposes many conservative perspectives, so I endorsed his opponent....

Obama Accidentally Endorses Arizona Immigration Law

Proponents of the Arizona immigration law claim opponents don't even know what is actually in the law. The are getting their information from liberal websites and news sources. For instance, many claim the law will lead to racial profiling, but the is specific language in the law prohibiting sole use of race. Add President Obama to the group that doesn't know the contents of the law, unless you think he really meant to endorse the Arizona immigration law. Here is a link to the actual law (pdf.) There is a good summary of the Arizona immigration bill here.

From NRO:
Something just occurred to me in rereading the president’s comments on the Arizona law from Tuesday:
“The truth is that 11 or 12 million folks, we’re gonna have to make them take responsibility for what they did,” Obama said. “And the way to do that is to make them register, make them pay a fine, make them learn English, make them take responsibility for the fact that they broke the law.”

Hmm — “make them register.” I know I’ve heard that somewhere. Oh, here it is:
(a) Willful failure to register
Any alien required to apply for registration and to be fingerprinted in the United States who willfully fails or refuses to make such application or to be fingerprinted, and any parent or legal guardian required to apply for the registration of any alien who willfully fails or refuses to file application for the registration of such alien shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not to exceed $1,000 or be imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

So they’re already required to register. That’s from 8 USC 1306(a). It’s also in the new Arizona law. So didn’t the president just endorse the law?

Obama Endorses Moron Democrat Who Thought Guam Would "Tip Over"

In order to get President Obama's endorsement, you don't have to be bright. You just need to be a Democrat. President Obama has endorsed Congressman Hank Johnson (D-Georgia.) Johnson is the moron who asked Adm. Robert Willard at a House Armed Services Committee if the U.S. territory of Guam would "tip over" if the population increased. Amazingly, Adm. Willard kept a straight face.

If you need a good laugh, here is the video.

Sarah Palin Endorses Rand Paul in the Kentucky Senate GOP Primary

Rand Paul , son of libertarian Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), is running a grassroots campaign for retiring Senator Jim Bunning's Senate seat. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has endorsed Paul's opponent Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson. Rand Paul is considered by many to be the Tea Party candidate.

The Washington Post reported:
Sarah Palin has endorsed Rand Paul in the Kentucky Senate GOP primary. Her spokeswoman just sent over this statement from the former Alaska governor: "I'm proud to support great grassroots candidates like Dr. Paul. While there are issues we disagree on, he and I are both in agreement that it's time to shake up the status quo in Washington and stand up for common sense ideas."

Kennedy Name Isn't Worth What It Use To Be

The late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s widow, Vicki, and nephew Joseph Kennedy II have endorsed Martha Coakley to replace Ted Kennedy as a Massachusetts Senator. You might think that would help in the heart of liberal land, but the opposite is true. By 37 percent to 20 percent, voters said it made them less likely to vote for Coakley.

The Boston Herald reported:
Big-name Kennedy endorsements for Martha Coakley appear to have been little help to the Democrat in the U.S. Senate race – and may have even hurt her with some voters, a new Suffolk University/7News poll shows.

The late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s widow, Vicki, and nephew Joseph Kennedy II gave the attorney general their official blessing last week.

But of the 500 voters surveyed, only 20 percent said...

Buying the Presidency: $700 million, Bankrupting America: $9 trillion, Gaddafi Endorsing you: Priceless

In his U.N. speech today, Moammar Gaddafi called Barack Obama,"our son" and "our Obama," and said, "The election of Obama is the beginning of change." Gaddafi also said, "We are content and happy if Obama can stay forever as the president." It doesn't get any better than having a despot endorse you in front of a world audience. Nice going, President Obama.

The Washington Post reported:

But when it came to America's 44th president, Gaddafi offered only warm words, calling him "our son" and "our Obama," and saying, "The election of Obama is the beginning of change."

"We are content and happy if Obama can stay forever as the president," Gaddafi said during a rambling, 95-minute speech during which he read from notes, exhausted at least one of his interpreters, threw the U.N. schedule into disarray, and put much of his audience to sleep.
