Sad: Occupiers try to retake Zuccotti Park, stab police officer

The morons then surrounded the ambulance as it tried to leave. Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama must be proud.
(NY Post) — Some 800 Occupy Wall Street protesters began the new year by trying to retake Zuccotti Park last night, starting a massive clash with police in which one officer was stabbed in the hand with a pair of scissors.
A suspect was arrested in the 11:30 p.m. incident, according to a law enforcement source.
Hundreds in the crowd of occupiers then surrounded the ambulance as it tried to leave with the wounded officer, the source said.
The officer, who was not identified, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Fail: Some guy who throws like a girl tries to glitter bomb Rick Santorum

The guy mostly missed and Rick Santorum took it well. The glitter bomber yelled,
Stop the hate! Taste the rainbow!"
"Taste the rainbow" is "urban" for when a straight person has a homosexual experience.

Political Correctness Gone Wild: Toys are becoming gender free

Do these nut-jobs really want to live in a sexless amorphous society?

(NYT)-
NOW that the wrapping paper and the infernal clamshell packaging have been relegated to the curb and the paying off of holiday bills has begun, the toy industry is gearing up — for Christmas 2012. And its early offerings have ignited a new debate over nature, nurture, toys and sex.

Hamleys, which is London’s 251-year-old version of F.A.O. Schwarz, recently dismantled its pink “girls” and blue “boys” sections in favor of a gender-neutral store with red-and-white signage. Rather than floors dedicated to Barbie dolls and action figures, merchandise is now organized by types (Soft Toys) and interests (Outdoor). Keep on reading...

Newt Gingrich: ‘I Am An Amateur Paleontologist’

Newt Gingrich is pressing hard to establish himself as an anthropogenic global warming skeptic.  I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Many people were fooled before the delved into the issue in depth.

Green Fail: Fisker Automotive recalls electric lemons

Fisker Automotive is recalling the 2012 Karma luxury plug-in hybrid cars; all 239 of them. They are fire hazards. President Obama gave Fisker Automotive a half a billion loan of you tax dollars two years ago.

Fisker Automotive is recalling all 239 of its 2012 Karma luxury plug-in hybrid cars because of a fire hazard, according to a report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Prices on the 2012 model start at $103,000, including the destination charge.

In a report filed recently on the agency’s Web site, Fisker said some hose clamps were not properly positioned, which could allow a coolant leak. “If coolant enters the battery compartment an electrical short could possibly occur, causing a thermal event within the battery, including a possible fire in the worse case,” the company told the safety agency.

Fisker said the problem was discovered on Dec. 16, when workers at the Valmet Automotive assembly plant in Finland noticed coolant dripping. Fisker said it was not aware of any consumer complaints, warranty claims or “any other reports related to this condition.” It said fewer than 50 vehicles were in the hands of consumers.

Palestinians fire illegal phosphorous mortar shells into Israel

I wonder is the U.N. will call a meeting and condemn this war crime? /snark

Two mortar shells fired from the Gaza Strip into the rural Eshkol Regional Council on Sunday morning contained phosphorous, security forces confirmed. The shells landed in open fields, causing no injuries or damage.

Mortars containing phosphorous fired from Gaza have landed in Israeli territory in the past. Phosphorous is designed to ignite a fire around the impact zone. The chemical is banned by international law for use near civilians.

Hollywood Pinhead George Clooney: “I’m disillusioned by the people who are disillusioned by Obama.”

Why are so many Hollywood stars complete barking moonbats?
NEW YORK — Hollywood loves the Next Big Thing, and four years ago, that was Barack Obama, the equivalent of a breakout movie star.

“He is ‘The One,’” said Oprah Winfrey, his biggest and most influential celebrity champion.

“The best candidate I’ve ever seen,” said George Clooney.

Halle Berry said she’d “collect paper cups off the ground to make his pathway clear.” Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am chimed in with the famous “Yes We Can” video.

But you can’t be the Next Big Thing twice and as a new election year dawns, there’s clearly a different mood in heavily Democratic Hollywood.

That means less gushing, not to mention snippets of criticism, most prominently from actor Matt Damon, who campaigned for Obama last time but now makes no secret of his disillusionment.

“I think he misinterpreted his mandate,” Damon said earlier this year. He recently told Elle magazine the country would have been better off with a one-term president with guts, although he used a saltier word. [...]

What about core Obama celebrity supporters Clooney and Winfrey? Far from being disillusioned with Obama, Clooney said recently: “I’m disillusioned by the people who are disillusioned by Obama.”

“Democrats eat their own,” the actor said. “I’m a firm believer in sticking by and sticking up for the people whom you’ve elected.” He went on to list the accomplishments of the Obama administration, wondering why Democrats weren’t selling them better.

Happy New Year! This is the year we take back the White House!
