Well, it can't be built by limp-wristed losers like Jeb Bush and the rest of the current GOP leadership. They don't want to build it.
Former Florida governor and Republican presidential candidate said the majority of illegal immigrants are coming from Central America, not Mexico, and Donald Trump is proposing to build "a wall that can't be built."As Trump has pointed out, China built a wall that can be seen from space, and is several times as as long, hundreds of years ago using iron age hand tools.
"He wants everyone deported, which would tear family lives asunder," Bush said to host John Catsimatidis on "The Cats Roundtable" on AM 970 in New York. Bush added that Trump's plan to end birthright citizenship, a right currently guaranteed by the 14th Amendment, "would probably be unconstitutional."
"What Donald Trump is proposing is a wall that can't be built, and if it was, it would cost hundreds of billions of dollars," said Bush of the Republican front-runner's plan. Trump has said he "will build a great, great wall on our southern border and I will have Mexico pay for that wall."

This Hamptonite wants Hillary Rodham Clinton behind bars — and had to put his signs saying so behind an electric fence.
Andy Sabin’s first “Hillary for Prison 2016” signs lasted little more than a day before they were stolen from in front of his Amagansett home last week. So Sabin took steps to make sure the placards were secure.
The red, blue and white signs now sit atop a pair of 12-foot poles behind an electric fence with yellow warning signs. A surveillance camera keeps watch.
Signs he put up in 2008 supporting John McCain’s presidential bid were also taken, said Sabin, a Jeb Bush supporter who runs a precious-metals refining business.
“Living in a town with a lot of left-wing wackos, that’s what happens,” Sabin said.
Obvious: Lincoln Chafee said support for increased immigration will result in more votes for the Democratic Party.
If Hispanics were mostly Republican, Democrats would want a wall with razor wire on the southern border.

This is just another example of the Washington elite making rules to keep the little people under control.
The Supreme Court is designated as the ultimate protector of constitutional rights, but the guarantee of protest and free speech ends on the steps to the plaza in front of the court’s grand marble temple, a unanimous federal appeals court panel ruled Friday.
Demonstrators are allowed on the sidewalk in front of the court but not any closer to the famous portico promising “Equal Justice Under Law,” three judges of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit decided.
The fight over where protesters get to protest has been going on for years.
The appeals court judges upheld a 1949 law that forbids demonstrations on the grounds of the high court, on the premise that protests at the court’s doorstep might lead to the perception that the justices are swayed by vox populi rather than the dictates of the law.

Gun control won't prevent shootings unless you confiscate all guns. That is clearly unconstitutional.
Via Washington Times:
Via Washington Times:
The White House conceded Friday that new gun regulations probably wouldn’t have prevented the gunman who murdered two television journalists in southwestern Virginia this week.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said it appears that a proposal championed by President Obama to require background checks on purchases at gun shows “would not have applied in this particular case.”
Law enforcement officials said gunman Vester Flanagan used a Glock handgun in Wednesday’s shooting, one of two that he bought last month. He legally bought two Glock model 19 handguns from a Virginia dealer.

Democrats’ election outreach efforts to veterans may need to start with a refresher course on what U.S. troops look like.
For starters, they don’t wear Polish military uniforms.
Until Thursday, the Democratic National Committee’s “Veterans and Military Families” website had as its only picture a shot from White House photographers during President Obama’s visit to Warsaw in 2011.
The president had been cropped out, but faces of four elderly veterans wearing European-style military uniforms were visible above several paragraphs asserting the party’s “commitment to America’s veterans.” The Polish military’s White Eagle insignia was clear on the headgear of two of the veterans.

"Hellbent" on passing immigration reform...
At a Steamboat Springs event for GOP Rep. Scott Tipton, the Ohio Republican quipped that he likes how Cruz’s presidential campaign keeps “that jackass” out of Washington, and from telling Boehner how to do his job…
“I don’t think it’s terribly speaker-like, and I think it kind of goes against everything that Reagan ever said about disparaging Republicans,” said Ed MacArthur, the president of Native Excavating, who attended the fundraiser…
Another Steamboat Springs resident confirmed Boehner’s remark: “I about fell on the floor.”
“To build coalitions to work together in Washington, D.C., you don’t start it out by calling your colleague a ‘jackass,’” she said.
The Virginia TV shooter passed a background check. Universal background checks would not have had an impact on this shooting, but let's not let facts get in the way of Democrats desire to destroy the 2ns Amendment.
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday that she felt “great heartache” over the shooting ambush that killed a TV news reporter and cameraman live on air in Virginia, pledging that as president she would fight for more gun-control laws.
“We have got to do something about gun violence in America — and I will take it on,” Mrs. Clinton said in an on-camera statement to reports while on campaign trail in Iowa.
In an emotional plea for more restrictive gun laws, Mrs. Clinton said that too many people known that the availability of firearms is a problem in the United States but avoid the subject because “it is hard.”[...]
Mrs. Clinton said that there was evidence that tougher gun laws would stop the gun violence, but gun-rights advocates dispute those claims.[...]

WASHINGTON – Businessman Donald Trump has told several top Republicans that he will swear off the possibility of an independent bid and commit to running his presidential campaign under the party’s banner, according to several sources.
Such a move could endear Trump further to Republican voters who have remained skeptical about his allegiance to a political party he joined relatively recently. Trump had drawn sharp criticism from GOP leaders concerned that a third party bid would effectively guarantee a Democratic win in the general election.
“I know you don’t need any advice, but I’m going to give you some. You will do better in the Republican primaries if you just swear off the third party, because a lot of Republicans will never vote for someone who, like Ross Perot, will hand the election to a Democrat,” influential radio host Hugh Hewitt told Trump during an interview in early August.

I think history will prove "the crazies" are the ones who who made the decision to not blast the Iranian nuclear program back to the stone age.
LAS VEGAS — There are the people on his side on the Iran deal, President Barack Obama said Monday evening. Then there are “the crazies.”
Back from a notably uneventful and restful two-week vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, Obama was immediately on the road for a short trip here, first to speak at a green energy conference hosted by retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, then to raise money for his preferred successor, former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto.
Ruddy from the sun, Obama described himself as “refreshed, renewed, recharged — a little feisty.”
And he delivered, recounting the ride he and Reid had just taken from the conference to the fundraiser in his up-armored presidential limo, where they talked about old times and getting back to Washington to “deal with the crazies in terms of managing some problems.”

Lois Lerner had yet another personal email account used to conduct some IRS business, the tax agency confirmed in a new court filing late Monday that further complicates the administration’s efforts to be transparent about Ms. Lerner’s actions during the tea party targeting scandal.
The admission came in an open-records lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a conservative public interest law firm that has sued to get a look at emails Ms. Lerner sent during the targeting.
IRS lawyer Geoffrey J. Klimas told the court that as the agency was putting together a set of documents to turn over to Judicial Watch, it realized Ms. Lerner had used yet another email account, in addition to her official one and another personal one already known to the agency.
“In addition to emails to or from an email account denominated ‘Lois G. Lerner‘ or ‘Lois Home,’ some emails responsive to Judicial Watch’s request may have been sent to or received from a personal email account denominated ‘Toby Miles,’” Mr. Klimas told Judge Emmet G. Sullivan, who is hearing the case.
It is unclear who Toby Miles is, but Mr. Klimas said the IRS has concluded that was “a personal email account used by Lerner.”

A Tennessee school district is banning all flags, including Old Glory.
School leaders in Dickson County decided, after a summer of controversy surrounding the confederate flag, the wise thing to do would be to ban all flags and banners.
Some students are angry as they feel their patriotism is being compromised.
School leaders said there is a right and wrong way to show American pride:
“It’s not an unpatriotic act by any means because we have a number of ways in which students do learn how to be patriotic and express American pride.”
One student said, “I just think that’s a right…it’s freedom of expression and I don’t think you should be able to take that away from us.”
Students said they were told they would get kicked out if they bring an American flag onto school property.
So far, school leaders say they haven’t had any issues.

The tens of thousands of emails on Hillary Clinton’s private server from when she was secretary of state could also be on a second device or server, according to news reports.
The FBI now has the only confirmed private server, as part of a Justice Department probe to determine whether it sent of received classified information for Clinton when she was the country’s top diplomat from 2009 to 2013.
Platte River Networks, which managed Clinton’s server and private email network after she left the State Department, has indicated it transfer – or “migrated” – emails from the original server in 2013, according to The Washington Examiner.
However, Clinton, the front-running Democratic presidential candidate, has suggested that she gave the department 55,000 pages of official emails and deleted roughly 30,000 personal ones in January, which raises the possibility they were culled from a second device.

Obama administration officials only began notifying local law enforcement officials of the release of violent criminal illegal immigrants within the last two weeks, according to Arizona law enforcement officials, who say they have for years been kept in the dark about the release of illegal immigrants back into local towns.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had been keeping secret its release of illegal immigrants with violent criminal records from local law enforcement for at least two years, denying for a time that this was taking place, law enforcement officials disclosed to the Washington Free Beacon.
The public disclosure of this practice, in which Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) frees criminal illegal immigrants back into U.S. communities, came to light earlier this week, when Arizona law enforcement was made aware that three illegal aliens with violent criminal records had been released back onto the streets.

Ted Cruz was no an anchor baby. His mother was a U.S. citizen...
DES MOINES, Iowa— Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday fired back at Jeb Bush, who a day earlier suggested the senator, who was born in Canada to a son of a Cuban immigrant and American-born mother, was the beneficiary of birthright citizenship.
“I appreciate Governor Bush’s concern. I would note it seems he’s having a problem and getting confused between legal immigration and illegal immigration,” Cruz told reporters here ahead of his soapbox speech at the Iowa State Fair. “With regard to legal citizens, I’m a United States citizen because my mother was a United States citizen, born in Wilmington, Delaware. And it has been the law since the beginning of the country that the children of American citizens born here or abroad are American citizens by birth.”
Cruz, whose father came to the U.S. from Cuba, is advocating the repeal of birthright citizenship protections for the children of illegal immigrants, a position highlighted this week after Donald Trump promoted the idea in his controversial immigration plan.
A day earlier, Bush suggested in New Hampshire that Cruz was the beneficiary of the broader birthright citizenship protection clause of the 14th Amendment. Bush opposes altering that language.

He also said that none of his siblings have the same set of parents.
“For my entire life, I have held the cards of my complicated family history very close to my chest. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued a regulation on Thursday to stop referring to midget raisins as “midget” after an activist group called the term offensive.
The USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) issued the proposed rule, announcing the U.S. “Standards for Grades of Processed Raisins” would eliminate all five times the word midget is used. Midget has long been used to describe the differences in sizes of California raisins.
“The action would clarify AMS grade standards by eliminating the use of the term ‘midget,’ while consistently using the term ‘small’ for raisins graded in that category,” the USDA said in the proposed rule. “The industry has used the two grade terms interchangeably for years. The proposed grade standards would be applied uniformly by all handlers.”
“These changes would modernize and clarify the standards by removing dual terminology for the same requirement,” the agency said.
The government said the change was prompted by a request from the Little People of America, a nonprofit membership organization for people of short stature.

No. This is not from The Onion...
VIENNA (AP) -- Iran will be allowed to use its own inspectors to investigate a site it has been accused of using to develop nuclear arms, operating under a secret agreement with the U.N. agency that normally carries out such work, according to a document seen by The Associated Press. The revelation on Wednesday newly riled Republican lawmakers in the U.S. who have been severely critical of a broader agreement to limit Iran's future nuclear programs, signed by the Obama administration, Iran and five world powers in July. Those critics have complained that the wider deal is unwisely built on trust of the Iranians, while the administration has insisted it depends on reliable inspections.A skeptical House Speaker John Boehner said, "President Obama boasts his deal includes `unprecedented verification.' He claims it's not built on trust. But the administration's briefings on these side deals have been totally insufficient - and it still isn't clear whether anyone at the White House has seen the final documents."

This is the dumbest deal ever...
Via Free Beacon:

A senior Iranian official declared on Monday that international nuclear inspectors would only be permitted into the country once they receive approval from the Islamic Republic’s Intelligence Ministry, putting another roadblock between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran’s contested nuclear sites.
Sayyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister and one of the top negotiators in talks that led to the recently inked nuclear deal, told the country’s state-controlled press that Iran’s intelligence apparatus must approve of any inspector who is issued a visa to enter Iran.
This requirement could complicate efforts to prove to the world that Iran is being fully transparent and that nuclear inspectors inside the country are neutral.
Iran has already stated that no American inspector would be permitted into the country under the deal. The accord also grants Iran a 24-day notice period before inspectors enter any site suspected of being used for nuclear weapons work.

Family and friends of a Christian cake designer hope to help him with a fundraising campaign after a Colorado court ruled Thursday that he must create cakes for same-sex weddings despite his religious beliefs.
“Cake artist” Jack Phillips has said his bakery, Masterpiece Cakeshop, has lost more than a third of its receipts since he stopped making all wedding cakes while the case makes its way through the legal system.
“We hope it will relieve some of the financial pressure on Jack,” his brother-in-law, Jim Sander, said of the new fundraising effort in a phone interview Friday with The Daily Signal. “A business that has a 10 percent loss is a big deal in the Wall Street Journal. So a 40 percent loss is a big hit.”
Sander said the “crowdfunding” campaign, through the website Continue to Give, a Christian-oriented service, went online Thursday afternoon—hours after the Colorado Court of Appeals decided Phillips and his business must provide cakes for gay marriages.
The mission: Financially support Phillips, 59, and “protect his freedom of speech and freedom of religion.” The goal: Raise $200,000.
Those who go to the “Support Jack Phillips” site may contribute any amount, making their names and size of donation public or keeping either private. Giver also may leave encouraging messages for Phillips.
The first contributions began to trickle in Thursday night. As of 4 p.m. Sunday, the site had logged 17 donations.

MCALLEN, Texas – A previously deported illegal alien who had been convicted of sexually assaulting a child earlier this year is back in the United States.
U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested 22-year-old Joel Silva Duran, an illegal alien from Mexico, last week near the border city of Roma, court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed.
After the arrest, the agents learned that Silva Duran had been deported four months earlier, on April 3, 2015, through Brownsville, Texas. The deportation came just one day after he had been sentenced to 10 years of probation at a state court in Rio Grande City on the charge of sexual assault of a child.
Silva was formally charged with one count of illegal reentry by U.S. Magistrate Peter Ormsby in McAllen. It remains unclear if his arrest will have an effect on his probation sentence and if state prosecutors will seek to have the probation sentence revoked in exchange for jail time.

Why is Huma Abedin delaying swearing under oath she has given the State Department all of her work-related emails?
My guess is Huma is in a real pickle. As Hillary's top aid and confidant, she undoubtedly exchanged a lot of work related emails with Hillary. Hillary has sworn under penalty of perjury that she turned all her emails over. If Huma turns over some between her and Hillary that Hillary did not, her boss is in a lot of trouble. Since Huma was using Hillary's secret server for some of her emails, it's unclear if she even got a copy of her email before the server was "wiped clean." We have to wonder if the delay turning email over is to allow time to sync what she turns over with what Hillary turned over. Of course, if she were to do that and be caught, she could face perjury charges. Tick tock....

She hadn’t even recalled the incident.
A former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant and Playboy Playmate who was the subject of the “on her knees” remark made by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is coming to his defense.
During the GOP presidential debate Thursday, Fox News host Megyn Kelly asked Trump to explain a comment he made during a segment of his reality show that it would be “a pretty picture to see her on her knees,” referring to Brande Roderick, a contestant.
In a telephone interview on MSNBC’s “Live with Thomas Roberts” on Friday, Roderick said she hadn’t even recalled the incident.
“Like him, I didn’t even remember him saying that,” Roderick said. “I’ve always had a positive experience around Donald. He’s always been encouraging. He’s never been disrespectful to me.”
She added that Trump’s remark wasn’t made out of desrespect, but rather was an attempt at humor.
“I don’t condone men being derogatory, but I think he’s just on television. He’s trying to be funny. He didn’t mean anything horrible by it.”
Lawyer, constitutional scholar, best selling author, and conservative talk radio host Mark Levin, in an interview on the Breitbart News Saturday radio program, expressed outrage at the Thursday night GOP presidential debate hosted by Fox News.
Levin asserted, “I think that we were all duped. The fact of the matter is that this was a ratings gambit.”
Levin spoke to the program’s host, Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon on the phone, while riding a train to a book signing event in Huntington, Long Island for his latest best seller, Plunder and Deceit: Big Government’s Exploitation of Young People and the Future.
Levin claims that “We the people” were overlooked in the debate, and the event became a media spectacle with more emphasis on the show’s moderators than on discussing the important issues that face America. “Even today, it’s all about who has Megyn Kelly’s back. We the people, this is our process. We don’t get that many opportunities to go through the primary process. There are only nine debates,” he said.
“The Great One” pointed out that Fox had an opportunity to host one of these important debates, “And they took advantage of us, they took advantage of the audience.” Levin explained that Kelly”s “question two,” accusing Donald Trump of making inappropriate comments to Rosie O’Donnell and others, “was outrageous.” Levin suggested that Fox went to great lengths to engage in “oppositional research” on Mr. Trump.

Target Corp. is removing gender labels from most of its children’s departments after customers complained about signs designating certain toys for girls.
The kids’ bedding section will no longer feature boy and girl signage, and the toy department will be without labels and pink or blue paper on the shelves, Minneapolis-based Target said on its website Friday. Gender labels will remain in the kids’ clothing section because of sizing and fit differences.
Retailers have been moving away from gender stereotypes, and some startups have emerged to break down the divide in kids’ clothing and toys. The signage that sparked the dispute at Target was for building sets, like GoldieBlox, that are targeted at girls.
“As guests have pointed out, in some departments like toys, home or entertainment, suggesting products by gender is unnecessary,” Target said. “We heard you, and we agree. Right now, our teams are working across the store to identify areas where we can phase out gender-based signage to help strike a better balance.”
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency was trying to protect the environment when it caused a major spill instead.
The EPA says it was using heavy machinery to investigate pollutants at the Gold King Mine on Wednesday morning when it accidentally released an estimated 1 million gallons of mining waste into a creek. The waste spewed from the creek into the Animas River north of Silverton, Colorado, turning the water an opaque orange color reminiscent of boxed mac and cheese.
“This is a huge tragedy. It’s hard being on the other side of this. We typically respond to emergencies, we don’t cause them,” David Ostrander, EPA’s director of emergency preparedness for the region, said at a community meeting held in Durango, Colorado on Friday afternoon. “But this is just an unanticipated situation that didn’t quite come out as planned.”
In response to an audience member, he added, “We’re asking ourselves the same question: What exactly happened.”
After Megyn Kelly's viscous attack on Donald Trump during the debate, Trump made a comment about blood coming out of her eyes or wherever. Eric Erickson jumped to the conclusion Trump was referring to Kelly's menstrual cycle and dis-invited him from the Red State conservative gathering. Trump claims that is untrue. No one can read Trump's mind, but the New York Tims is fulling backing Eric Erickson's opinion. When the New York Times is on your side, you need to stop and reconsider your opinion.
Donald J. Trump’s suggestion that a Fox News journalist had questioned him forcefully at the Republican presidential debate because she was menstruating cost him a speaking slot Saturday night at an influential gathering of conservatives in Atlanta. It also raised new questions about how much longer Republican Party leaders would have to contend with Mr. Trump’s disruptive presence in the primary field.Continuing his complaints about Megyn Kelly, one of the moderators of the debate, in an interview on CNN Friday night, Mr. Trump said, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.” The remark prompted Erick Erickson, the leader of RedState, the conservative group, to disinvite him.“If your standard-bearer has to resort to that,” Mr. Erickson told hundreds of conservative activists in a packed Atlanta hotel ballroom on Saturday, “we need a new standard-bearer.”

After watching the debate, do you really have a better understanding of where the candidates are on the important issues of the day and what they plan to do about them? I don't. I doubt anyone does. Instead of a serious debate on the issues, we got a lot of useless drama that was deliberately created by the Fox News moderators. They spent too much time talking and sometimes actually seemed to be debating the candidates themselves. They took each candidate's most vulnerable area, especially Trump, and conducted an inquisition. Does anyone really care what Donald Trump called Rosie O'Donnell or if some of his many companies failed in the past? Does it really matter if Jeb Bush was on the board of a foundation that in the past donated money to Planned Parenthood? No. Here are the issues on voters minds in 2015. The economy and jobs is top and some of the candidates tried to talk about their records, but this wasn't even a topic of the 9:00 PM debate.
If we knew each candidate's position on those issues, we would be much better voters. Instead, we have been entertained. Fox News should be embarrassed. They are no longer journalists.
- What exactly will you do to create jobs and stimulate the economy?
- How would you change the tax code for businesses and individuals?
- Will you commit to ending Obamacare? How will you accomplish that goal? What, if anything, do you plan to replace it with?
- Is there any issue you feel strongly enough about to shut down the government to achieve it?
- Will you vow to stamp out ISIS and how will you do it?
- What will you do about the Iran nuclear program and how will you rebuild our relationship with Israel?
- How will you secure the border and what will you do with the millions of illegal immigrants already here?
- What government programs would you cut to help balance the budget?
- What federal regulations would your repeal or modify?
- Do you believe recent climate change is mostly man-made or mostly natural and why?
No bias or even a smidgen of corruption here...
A trove of IRS emails show top official Lois Lerner had a deep commitment to the Democratic Party and a significant dislike for the new conservative grassroots groups that formed under the Tea Party banner and sought tax-exempt status from the agency."Crazies" and "a--holes," were the blunt terms Lerner used to describe conservatives, who, with a Supreme Court decision striking down the campaign finance reform law, were bringing about "an end to America," she wrote.
The emails are included in a bipartisan report issued Wednesday by the Senate Finance Committee, which cited "gross mismanagement" and also "personal politics" as the root cause of the IRS mishandling of tax-exempt applications from Tea Party organizations.
The inspections will fail. Iran will cheat and the UN won't do anything about it.
Via Daily Mail:
Aerial photos of a nuclear site in Iran appear to show ‘a last-ditch effort’ to hide ‘incriminating evidence’ before the inspections it agreed to in last month’s international deal.
The photos, from a respected Washington think tank, show ‘renewed activity’ at Parchin, a military site in Iran that has previously been linked to explosives work with nuclear weapons.
A report from the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS), reveals movement that started after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to end international sanctions on Iran.
As part of the deal, Iran agreed to host inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at sites such as Parchin, where the country is suspected of developing nuclear weapons.
The report by the Institute for Science and International Security says: ‘Although it is difficult to fathom Iran’s motivations for its recent actions at Parchin, this renewed activity may be a last-ditch effort to try to ensure that no incriminating evidence will be found.’
The pictures show new activity on the roofs of two buildings, as well as oil spills from vehicles and the presence of two large vehicles – one of which ‘could’ be a bulldozer or steamroller.
The report says the evidence ‘raises concerns’ that Iran is trying to conduct ‘further sanitization efforts’ which make a mockery of the military inspections.

Working for ICE lately must be like being a Maytag repairman...
The Department of Homeland Security will propose to Congress to direct $110 million away from Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s budget and reprogram it to other agencies within DHS like the Secret Service and DHS cyber operations, a source with access to information within ICE told The Daily Caller.
“The DHS justification is, ‘Well, ICE, you’re not using all of your budget, and, it’s coming from bed and deportation money, because you can’t arrest people and you can’t detain people. So it doesn’t makes sense that you’re not using your budget, so we are going to take it away from you and give it to other divisions of homeland security,’” the person said.

President Barack Obama acknowledged Wednesday that Iran might use cash coming its way under sanctions relief to fund “terrorist organizations” but argued this is preferable to allowing it to develop nuclear arms.
“The truth is, that Iran has always found a way to fund these efforts,” Obama said, in a speech to defend the Iran nuclear deal.

New Hampshire legislators stripped the state’s six Planned Parenthood clinics of state funds Wednesday, deleting roughly one third of their public funding.
The state’s Republican-led Executive Council rejected a $639,000 funding contract with Planned Parenthood, reported local ABC affiliate WMUR9. The Council cited a series of undercover videos in the meeting, which show top Planned Parenthood doctors discussing and participating in the harvesting, dissection, and distribution of aborted fetuses. The Center for Medical Progress plans to release more footage, and has alleged Planned Parenthood is illegally selling the aborted baby parts for profit. But Planned Parenthood maintains the fees it charges are legally legitimate and that they do not profit from the exchange. Obama: Killing humans and harvesting their organs is “craziness” unless you are Planned Parenthood...
Via The Federalist:
President Barack Obama told a group of young African leaders on Monday that harvesting organs from humans that are killed as part of an African ritual was “craziness” and a “cruel” tradition that needed to stop. He warned of dehumanizing marginal groups of humans and of the problems that arise when “you are not able to see someone else as a human being.”
In a wide-ranging question and answer session with members of the Young African Leaders Initiative [YALI], a woman from Kenya said “Persons with albinism in Africa are being killed and their body parts harvested for ritual purposes. My request to you is to raise this issue with heads of state of African countries to bring these atrocities to an end.”

Congress is insane if they don't kill this deal...
Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said the nuclear inspection organization is barred from revealing to the United States any details of deals it has inked with Tehran to inspect its contested nuclear program going forward, according to regional reports.
Recent disclosures by Iran indicate that the recently inked nuclear accord includes a series of side deals on critical inspections regimes that are neither public nor subject to review by the United States.
Reza Najafi, Iran’s ambassador and permanent envoy to the IAEA, stated over the weekend that no country is permitted to know the details of future inspections conducted by the IAEA. In addition, no U.S. inspectors will be permitted to enter Iran’s nuclear sites.

AUGUST 1–A knife-wielding Florida man who attempted a carjacking Thursday night quickly discovered that the vehicle he targeted was an undercover cop car occupied by a pair of armed plainclothes detectives, according to an arrest affidavit.
Dominique Albert, 27, allegedly approached the car on a St. Petersburg street around 9:45 PM and yanked open the passenger door. Albert, pictured at right, leaned into the auto while holding a steak knife in his right hand.
While Albert’s would-be victims were initially startled by the interloper, they quickly rallied.
“Police!,” shouted Detective Daniel Torok from the driver’s seat as he drew his handgun and leveled it at Albert, who “turned and fled on foot.”
Torok and his partner then chased after Albert, who dropped his knife during the pursuit. When the cops caught up with Albert, he “fought Police with violence, but was finally taken into custody after a lengthy fight.” Albert, who allegedly continued to struggle after being handcuffed, stopped resisting after a backup officer “deployed his Taser.”

President Barack Obama will Monday unveil what he called the “biggest, most important step we’ve ever taken” to fight climate change, a sensitive issue central to his legacy.
The White House will release the final version of America’s Clean Power Plan, a set of environmental rules and regulations that will home in on the pollution from the nation’s power plants, setting limits on power-plant carbon emissions.
Laying out how climate change was a threat to the health, well being and security of millions of Americans, and adding that time was of the essence, Obama said in a video released early Sunday: “Climate change is not a problem for another generation. Not anymore.”
“Power plants are the single biggest source of harmful carbon pollution that contributes to climate change,” added Obama, who made the battle against climate change a core promise of his 2008 election campaign.
“But until now there have been no federal limits to the amount of that pollution that those plants can dump into the air.”
He added that without imposing limits, “existing power plants can still dump unlimited amounts of harmful carbon pollution into the air weekly.
Navy denies any charges have been filed against Officer who defended against Navy Reserve Center shooter...
A spokesman for the U.S. Navy on Sunday denied reports that disciplinary charges will be filed against Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White for discharging an unauthorized weapon on federal property.
According to a post of Facebook and other social media sites, a statement reads, “Stories of Navy personnel being charges with an offense are not true. There is still a long way to go in reviewing the facts of this tragic incident, but at this time we can confirm no service member has been charged with an offense.”
Several news outlets, including this one, jumped on a report by national columnist Allen West on Saturday that stated he was enraged after he had confirmed that LTC White, who drew his personal sidearm in the July 16 terrorist attack on a Navy Reserve Center in Chattanooga, would face a reprimand and could possibly be court marshaled.

Obama has increased food stamp users, free or subsidized healthcare beneficiaries and people collecting disability. The wealthy are doing very well with the gains in the stock markets and the recovery of real estate prices. The middle class is dying. They face stagnant wages, higher taxes and higher prices on food, electricity, health insurance, travel and many other common purchases.
Signs of a nascent pickup in U.S. worker pay proved fleeting as wages and salaries climbed in the second quarter at the slowest pace on record.
The 0.2 percent advance was the smallest in data going back to 1982 and followed a 0.7 percent increase in the first quarter, the Labor Department said Friday. In the 12 months ended June, wages and salaries were up 2.1 percent compared with a 2.6 percent year-over-year gain in the first quarter.
The yield on Treasury securities sank as the figures tempered expectations a firming job market would prompt the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates as early as September. While Chair Janet Yellen has said wages alone won’t determine policy, the unexpected slowdown means there will be even more riding on employment and growth data in coming months to bolster the case for tightening in the second half of the year.

I am beginning to think Jeb really doesn't want to be president.
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said he would strive to be like Lyndon Johnson, the Democrat famous for expanding the U.S. welfare state through the “Great Society,” if he were elected president.According to the Miami Herald, Bush made those comments Wednesday night in San Antonio, Florida at Saint Leo University, while speaking about education, immigration, and energy policy.
Bush did not address Johnson’s Great Society and War on Poverty programs, about which Ronald Reagan once famously quipped, “We had a war on poverty, and poverty won.”
Instead, he was referencing Johnson’s mastery of the so-called sausage-making process in Congress.
He vowed to approach the presidency as “master of the Senate,” as biographer Robert Caro described Johnson.
The science is not settled. Of course, Obama would call the 57% who have some level of skepticism 'flat-Earth society' members.
I used to think there was a consensus among government-funded certified climate scientists, but a better study by
VerheggenStrengers, Verheegen, and Vringer shows even that is not true. The “97% consensus” is now 43%.
Finally there is a decent survey on the topic, and it shows that less than half of what we would call “climate scientists” who research the topic and for the most part, publish in the peer reviewed literature, would agree with the IPCC’s main conclusions. Only 43% of climate scientists agree with the IPCC “95%” certainty.
More than 1800 international scientists studying various aspects of climate change (including climate physics, climate impacts, and mitigation) responded to the questionnaire. Some 6550 people were invited to participate in this survey, which took place in March and April 2012. Respondents were picked because they had authored articles with the key words ‘global warming’ and/or ‘global climate change’, covering the 1991–2011 period, via the Web of Science, or were included the climate scientist database assembled by Jim Prall, or just by a survey of peer reviewed climate science articles. Prall’s database includes some 200 names that have criticized mainstream science and about half had only published in “gray literature”. (But hey, the IPCC quoted rather a lot of gray literature itself. Donna LaFramboise found 5,587 non peer reviewed articles in AR4.)

The man accused of killing two Good Samaritans who tried to help him on a Montana roadside was encountered by immigration authorities earlier this year after a burglary arrest, but was unable to be deported because he had already gotten legal status, federal authorities said this week.
The horrific killing has drawn attention at a time when crimes committed by immigrants are a hot political topic, thanks in part to GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s claim that Mexican society sends bad elements to the U.S.
Jesus Yeizon Deniz Mendoza, an 18-year-old Mexican man, has been charged with the killing of Jason and Tana Shane, who saw him stopped on the side of the road Wednesday and tried to help him. When they showed up on the scene with their daughter, Mr. Deniz pointed a gun at them and demanded money, according to an FBI affidavit filed in the federal court case.
