A Tennessee school district is banning all flags, including Old Glory.
School leaders in Dickson County decided, after a summer of controversy surrounding the confederate flag, the wise thing to do would be to ban all flags and banners.
Some students are angry as they feel their patriotism is being compromised.
School leaders said there is a right and wrong way to show American pride:
“It’s not an unpatriotic act by any means because we have a number of ways in which students do learn how to be patriotic and express American pride.”
One student said, “I just think that’s a right…it’s freedom of expression and I don’t think you should be able to take that away from us.”
Students said they were told they would get kicked out if they bring an American flag onto school property.
So far, school leaders say they haven’t had any issues.

NASCAR is really stepping in it by injecting political correctness into racing. They risk angering their fan base. In addition to the Confederate flag controversy, NASCAR has severed relations with Donald Trump over his illegal immigration comments.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Steven Rebenstorf has numerous flags flying atop his canopy tent inside Daytona International Speedway.
The Confederate flag is front and center.
It's been like that for years. And the 57-year-old Rebenstorf has no plans to take it down — not even if NASCAR decides to ban the embattled flag from its racetracks.
"They'd have to come and get it," Rebenstorf said Saturday, pointing out that his American flag purposely flies a few inches higher than the rest.
Rebenstorf and others staunchly defended their Confederate flags at NASCAR's first race in the South since the racing series and its tracks urged fans to no longer wave the banner. Dozens were scattered throughout the vast infield all weekend leading to Sunday's race.

With the nation debating the legacy of the Confederate flag, NASCAR fan-favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. offered his thoughts Friday, saying "it belongs in the history books."
"I think it's offensive to an entire race," Earnhardt said during his media availability at Sonoma Raceway. "It belongs in the history books and that's about it."
Earlier this week, NASCAR issued a statement reaffirming its position against using the Confederate flag in any official capacity.

Game Labs refuses to modify Ultimate General: Gettysburg because it is historically accurate...

I wouldn't fly the Confederate Flag on state capital grounds, but we shouldn't try to revise accurate history.

All historical commanders, unit composition and weaponry, key geographical locations to the smallest streams or farms are recreated in our game’s battlefield.
We receive a lot of letters of gratitude from American teachers who use our game in history curriculum to let kids experience one of the most important battles in American history from the Commander’s perspective.
Spielberg’s “Schindler’s List” did not try to amend his movie to look more comfortable. The historical “Gettysburg” movie (1993) is still on iTunes. We believe that all historical art forms: books, movies, or games such as ours, help to learn and understand history, depicting events as they were. True stories are more important to us than money.
Therefore we are not going to amend the game’s content and Ultimate General: Gettysburg will no longer be available on AppStore. We really hope that Apple’s decision will achieve the desired results.

Stupid: SC High School Superintendent forces students to remove flags from vehicles on September 11

Clueless doesn't begin to describe Spartanburg District 4 Superintendent Rallie Liston.

Woodruff, S.C. – 7 On Your Side was contacted by several upset parents who say Woodruff High School students were made to take down American flags from their vehicles on September 11.
Spartanburg District 4 Superintendent Rallie Liston said four students arrived at the school Thursday morning with U.S. flags propped up on poles in their pickup truck beds.
The school’s principal, Aaron Fulmer, confiscated the flags because he said it is against district policy to “draw attention” to one’s vehicle.
The flags were returned to the students at the end of the day.

Outrage: Kentucky Art Teacher Places American Flag On The Floor; Encourages Students To Step On It...

Things have really changed. When I went to school, we were taught to honor the American flag.

Students at a Kentucky high school were encouraged to step on an American flag that had been placed on the floor as part of an art display, outraging parents and students.
The display at McCracken County High School, was a re-creation of “Dread” Scott Tyler’s 1989 installation titled “The Proper Way to Display an American Flag.”

While 5 out of the 6 flags still stand (Neil Armstrong reported that Apollo 11′s flag was knocked over by engine thrust), the colors of Old Glory have faded due to the Suns harsh radiation.

“From the LROC images it is now certain that the American flags are still standing and casting shadows at all of the sites, except Apollo 11,” LROC principal investigator Mark Robinson wrote. “Astronaut Buzz Aldrin reported that the flag was blown over by the exhaust from the ascent engine during liftoff of Apollo 11, and it looks like he was correct!”

The original Apollo flags cost NASA $5.50 and made of nylon by Annin Flagmakers.

On the surface of Earth, even with our protective atmosphere, flags flown in bright sunlight for 44 years will fade severely. The Moon doesn’t have any protection or shade so the flags on it’s surface would have been exposed to glaring sunlight since they were planted. They are also bombarded by the Suns radiation due to not having any protection.

In 2007, Senator Obama decided to ditch his flag pin because he claimed it had become a substitute for patriotism.



Obama put the flag pin back on for his official portrait after he won in 2008 and often wears it now. He has never answered why it was a substitute for patriotism in 2007 and much of 2008, but appropriate after he won the presidency.

“God Bless America” Flag Banned By Moonbat California Teacher As Offensive

The flag hating teacher loved a picture of Barack Obama drawn by another student.

Tracy Hathaway, of Salinas, CA, told FOX News Radio her 13-year-old daughter was ordered to stop drawing the American flag and start another project at Gavilan View Middle School.

“She had drawn the flag and was sketching the letters, ‘God bless America,’ when the teacher confronted her,” Hathaway told FOX. “She said, ‘You can’t draw that – that’s offensive.’”...

“My husband point-blank asked her what she found offensive about the picture – the American flag or the words, ‘God Bless America,’” she said. “The teacher didn’t say a word.”

The parents of the student are still demanding an apology from the teacher, but they have not received it yet. It is hard to believe we entrust our kids to morons like this.

The Principal was forced to apologize. Latino students staged an anti-American flag demonstration and shouted "We want respect." The video picks up from there. This is sad.
