Trump Administration About To Throw Michelle Obama School Lunch Rules In The Crapper

There will be rejoicing in schools across America.

Via The Hill:
Newly minted Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue is expected to unveil a new rule Monday aimed at giving schools more flexibility in meeting federal nutrition standards for school lunches.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced Friday that Perdue and Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) will make the announcement at the Catoctin Elementary School in Leesburg, Va., where they are expected to eat lunch with the students.
Republicans have long been trying to dial back the standards that became a pillar of former first lady Michelle Obama’s initiative to curb childhood obesity in the U.S.
Roberts introduced legislation with Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) last year to give schools two more years to meet new reductions on sodium, but the bill never passed.
Renewed efforts to ease the federal standards came as disappointing news to some advocates.

Obama regime bringing penises to school girls bathrooms...

If you had told me our government would get this stupid 30 years ago, I would have called ylaughed at you...

Via Reuters:
The Obama administration is planning to issue a sweeping decree telling every public school district in the country to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms that match their gender identity, the New York Times reported on Thursday.
The letter to school districts that will go out on Friday describing what they should do to ensure that none of their students are discriminated against is signed by officials of the Justice Department and Education Department, according to the Times.
It does not have the force of law but contains an implicit threat that schools which do not abide by the Obama administration’s interpretation of the law could face lawsuits or a loss of federal aid, the newspaper said.

Stupid: SC High School Superintendent forces students to remove flags from vehicles on September 11

Clueless doesn't begin to describe Spartanburg District 4 Superintendent Rallie Liston.
Woodruff, S.C. – 7 On Your Side was contacted by several upset parents who say Woodruff High School students were made to take down American flags from their vehicles on September 11.
Spartanburg District 4 Superintendent Rallie Liston said four students arrived at the school Thursday morning with U.S. flags propped up on poles in their pickup truck beds.
The school’s principal, Aaron Fulmer, confiscated the flags because he said it is against district policy to “draw attention” to one’s vehicle.
The flags were returned to the students at the end of the day.

San Diego Unified School District Police Department has acquired an armored vehicle...

These morons need to find another outlet for their testosterone. Also, they seem to have too much money on their hands. School police don't need armored vehicle suitable for combat in Afghanistan. They plan to paint a red cross on the side. That will make all the difference.

Via The Guardian:
The nation gaped at the sight of a military-grade Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle trundling through Ferguson, but it turns out that was relatively restrained policing.
Relative, that is, to San Diego, where police will use a similar steel behemoth for the city’s schools.
The San Diego Unified School District Police Department has acquired its own vehicle, known as a MRAP, and expect it to be operational by October.
“I can totally see people thinking ‘Oh, my God. Are they going to be rolling armoured vehicles into our schools and what the hell’s going on?’” Captain Joe Florentino told local media.
Police intended to use it to rescue children – be it from rampaging gunmen or natural disasters, he said. “When we have an emergency at a school, we’ve got to get in and save kids.”

Good news: You are going to get to pay for the education of 30,000 more illegals...

States need to refuse to allow these new illegal immigrants to go to school.

Via Breitbart:
HOUSTON, Texas — The feds have released more than 30,000 unaccompanied minors, all of whom entered the U.S. illegally, in various states around the nation. Assuming that most of these children will not be immediately deported, U.S. public schools be will forced to accommodate them.
A total of 30,340 unaccompanied minors–almost all of whom are from Central America–had been released to foster homes around the country as of July 7.
The cost of educating these migrants in U.S. schools will likely not be cheap; Texas Education Agency General Counsel David Anderson pointed out that due to factors such as cultural differences and language barriers, it will likely be more expensive to educate the immigrant children than it is to educate students who are U.S. citizens.

Change: Oregon school gives condoms to sixth graders...

We were promised change if Obama was elected...
One school district in Oregon has taken the step of allowing some teachers to distribute condoms to students in the sixth grade.
Superintendent Rick Hensel said he and the school board are concerned about teen pregnancy rates after nine students, including one in middle school, became pregnant in the Oregon County town of Gervais, according to a story by News Channel 8 Portland and The Associated Press.
According to the report, a study by Oregon Health & Science University found that 7 percent of high school girls in Gervais had gotten pregnant, with more than 40 percent of students admitting they “never” or only “sometimes” used a condom during sexual intercourse.

Obama's Justice Department sues to stop Louisiana school vouchers

Liberals don't want to lose control of the indoctrination of your children.

Via Fox News:
The Justice Department is trying to stop a school vouchers program in Louisiana that attempts to help families send their children to independent schools instead of under-performing public schools.
The agency wants to stop the program, led by Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal, in any school district that remains under a desegregation court order.
In papers filed in U.S. District Court in New Orleans, the agency said Louisiana distributed vouchers in 2012-13 to roughly 570 public school students in districts that are still under such orders and that “many of those vouchers impeded the desegregation process.”
The federal government argues that allowing students to attend independent schools under the voucher system could create a racial imbalance in public school systems protected by desegregation orders.
Jindal — who last year expanded the program that started in 2008 — said this weekend that the department’s action is “shameful” and said President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder “are trying to keep kids trapped in failing public schools against the wishes of their parents.”

Liberal Fascism Alert: 8th grader arrested for wearing an NRA shirt to school...

The police and school officials involved in this outrage have no common sense or idea what our Constitution is about. They should all loose their jobs.

Via WOWKTV:
From the moment 13 News first broke this story on 13 News at 11 on Thursday, emails, Facebook posts and phone calls from people all across the country have been pouring in. Despite all of the attention, Jared Marcum and his family say they’re no closer to a resolution than they were when it all began.
Jared Marcum, an 8th grade student, was suspended, arrested and is now facing two charges after refusing to change his shirt.
“People are saying that I did the right thing, that they’re proud,” Jared said.
The 14-year-old student at Logan Middle School in Logan, West Virginia says the NRA shirt that sparked the controversy now symbolizes a fight that is just getting started.
“What they’re doing is trying to take away my rights, my freedom of speech and my second amendment,” Jared said.
“You can take the firearms out of the equation, what this about is fundamental rights,” Jared’s father Allen Lardieri said.
Lardieri says his questions for the school district remain unanswered.
It is important to note; the school had no policy that prohibited a pro-NRA shirt.

Insanity: 7 year old boy suspended from school for 2 days for chewing pastry into shape of a gun...

Homeschooling never looked better...

FOX News reported:
A 7-year-old Maryland boy was suspended from school for two days for shaping a breakfast pastry into what his teacher thought looked like a gun, according to his father.
FoxBaltimore.com reports that Josh Welch, a second-grader at Park Elementary School in Baltimore, was eating a strawberry tart when he decided to shape it into a mountain.
“All I was trying to do was turn it into a mountain but, it didn’t look like a mountain really and it turned out to be a gun [kind of],” Josh told the station.

Joe Biden auditions for Obama's job; practices his lying...

Shamefully, VP Joe Biden lies about his experience of a school massacre...

Via Washington Times:
Vice President Joseph R. Biden’s claim that he heard the gunshots of a 2006 school massacre while playing golf is raising questions about his veracity or his memory.
Mr. Biden told a meeting of mayors in Washington Thursday that he was about a quarter-mile away from an Amish schoolhouse on Oct. 2, 2006, when a gunman shot and killed five students and wounded five others.
“I happened to be literally — probably, it turned out, to be a quarter of a mile [away] at an outing when I heard gunshots in the woods,” Mr. Biden recounted. “We didn’t know … we thought they were hunters.”
But a search of maps of the area in Lancaster County, Pa., shows the nearest golf course to the site of the shooting, Moccasin Run Golf Club, is about five miles away. Rodney King, the golf pro at Moccasin Run, said Friday he was working at the course on the day of the shooting and never saw Mr. Biden, who was then a U.S. senator.
“There’s a lot of things here that I find hard to believe,” Mr. King said. “I looked in my database, and he [Mr. Biden] is not in my database.”
Even if Mr. Biden had played at the course that day, Mr. King said, “It’s very far-fetched that he would have heard it.”
“I know he didn’t hear those gunshots,” Mr. King said. “They were inside the school. Even if they were outside, he wouldn’t have heard them.”
A spokeswoman for the vice president did not return a request seeking comment Friday. Mr. Biden told the story as he was describing for the mayors’ group the Obama administration’s efforts to enact new gun-control laws.

Ten states given permission to leave a few children behind

school-fail

President Barack Obama gave ten states given permission to leave a few children behind today because actually requiring teachers to get results is asking too much.
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says his decision to free 10 states from the No Child Left Behind education law will give the flexibility they need to set high standards for students and hold schools accountable.

Obama spoke Thursday at the White House. He says he's giving 10 states waivers from the strict and sweeping requirements. The states are getting leeway in exchange for promises to improve the way schools teach and evaluate students.

Shameful: Elementary School Claims Kids Wrote Occupy Song

Via :

Here are some of the lyrics. You decide if these were written by 3rd graders.
Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes — they’re the 1 percent
I used to be one of the 1 percent
I worked all the time
Never saw my family
Couldn’t make life rhyme
Then the bubble burst
It really, really hurt
I lost my money
Lost my pride
Lost my home
Now I’m part of the 99
The rest of the lyrics are here.

Little Johnny can't read, but Obama is giving his school a free pass

A key part of the No child Left Behind legislation was school accountability. if test scores fail to improve enough, schools were penalized or even closed. President Obama has decided to give those failing schools a waiver. If you kid fails to learn to read, blame Obama.
(Politico) — Seeing “no clear path” toward reauthorizing the “No Child Left Behind” education law, the Obama administration will unilaterally issue waivers to states, exempting them from some of the law’s regulations.
“Today we’re less than a month from the start of the school year, and . . . we still believe there is no clear path toward a bipartisan bill to reform “No Child Left Behind,” said White House domestic policy adviser Melody Barnes in a conference call with reporters, the contents of which were embargoed until Monday.
“Our administration has been working on plans to provide more flexibility. The president has directed us to proceed with those plans.”
The announcement comes months after President Barack Obama called on Congress to deliver legislation to his desk by September that fixed the Bush-era law. But as the calendar moves closer to Obama’s deadline, the House and Senate have moved on separate paths at a pace the White House says is not nearly fast enough.

Milwaukee Public School teachers make $101,091 in total compensation

Why Are All the Good Teachers Crazy?

Why are these teachers protesting?

Via PolitiFact:
Let’s return to the MacIver Institute claim.

The conservative think tank said the average annual compensation for a Milwaukee Public Schools teacher would exceed $100,000 in 2011. As of July 1, 2011, according to the school district, that figure will be $101,091.

MacIver’s claim is True.

Nanny state alert: 7 year old charged for bringing nerf gun to school

Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS

I would say you could shoot your eye out with one of those, but it is a nerf gun.
(NBC) — A 7-year-old child allegedly shot a Nerf-style toy gun in his Hammonton, N.J., school Jan. 18. No one was hurt, but the pint-size softshooter now faces misdemeanor criminal charges.

Hammonton Police began an investigation into the “suspicious activity” at the Hammonton Early Childhood Education Center Jan. 18 after school officials alerted them to the incident.

The “gun” the child brought to school was a $5 toy gun, similar to a Nerf gun, that shoots soft ping pong type balls, according to the school’s superintendent.

Nanny State Can Now Regulate School Bake Sales

Will there ever be an end to government intrusion into citizen's lives? Michelle Obama's child nutrition bill gives the government power to limit school bake sales.

Washington (AP) - Don’t touch my brownies! A child nutrition bill on its way to President Barack Obama – and championed by the first lady – gives the government power to limit school bake sales and other fundraisers that health advocates say sometimes replace wholesome meals in the lunchroom.

Republicans, notably Sarah Palin, and public school organizations decry the bill as an unnecessary intrusion on a common practice often used to raise money.

“This could be a real train wreck for school districts,” Lucy Gettman of the National School Boards Association said Friday, a day after the House cleared the bill. “The federal government should not be in the business of regulating this kind of activity at the local level.”

Christmas Banned at Florida School

From the annals of political correctness gone wild...

FOX Nation reported:

A school in Florida has not only banned Christmas – but everything associated with the Christian holiday.

Teachers at Heathrow Elementary School have been ordered to banish images of Santa Claus from classrooms – along with traditional Christmas colors like red and green.

“You can’t use red and green,” one outraged parent told WESH. “It’s ridiculous.”

The parent, who serves as a volunteer room mother, said she was recently given a list of guidelines that listed the holiday restrictions.

She said the basic theme of the letter was, “We don’t want to offend anyone who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus or the Christian beliefs.”

Young Barack Obama Attended Muslim Prayers Against His Mother's Wishes

Young Barack Obama was very interested in Islam and insisted on attending Islamic class and Muslim prayers against his mother's wishes.

The Australian reported:
AS a schoolboy in Jakarta, Barack Obama attended Muslim prayer sessions with his classmates against the wishes of his mother.

The US President’s former grade three teacher said that Mr Obama – who was known as “Barry” when he attended the Menteng One school in Jakarta – studied the Koran and went to classes on Islam, despite the objections of Anne Dunham, a Roman Catholic.

The teacher’s recollections will add to speculation about Mr Obama’s links to Islam during his much-anticipated visit to Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation, as part of his ten-day tour of Asia...

“His mother did not like him learning Islam, although his father was a Muslim. Sometimes she came to the school; she was angry with the religious teacher and said ‘Why did you teach him the Koran?’” said Effendi.

“But he kept going to the classes because he was interested in Islam. He would also join the other pupils for Muslim prayers.”
