Too bad the moderator didn't ask Kaine about this statement

Although, Elaine Quijano wasn't quite as bad as Lester Holt (Lester set a very high failure bar,) She did ask more questions that were tougher for Pence and cut Pence off when he attacked Hillary. Hopefully, one of the debate moderators will develop an interest in "those damn emails."

Trump Dumps Fox News Debate...

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa -- Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump says he will not attend a debate scheduled for Thursday night in Des Moines, an unexpected twist just days before voters here launch the election process.
"I probably won't be doing the debate. I'm going to have something else in Iowa," he said during a press conference in a high school workout room on Tuesday afternoon.
After the press conference, Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski confirmed to The Washington Post that Trump would "definitely not" participate in Thursday's Fox News debate.
“He’s definitely not participating in the Fox News debate," Lewandowski said. "His word is his bond."
He said Trump would remain in Iowa as planned and would instead host an event in the state to raise money for wounded warriors and other veterans groups.

The CNBC executive who oversaw the disastrous Republican presidential debate is a former Clinton White House staffer, Breitbart News has learned.
Brian Steel, senior vice president of communications at CNBC, was the second highest-ranking network official at Wednesday night’s debate in Colorado after only CNBC CEO Mark Hoffman. Steel was described by an insider as the “executive on hand” for the debate, which was marked by the moderators’ partisan attacks and gotcha questions for the Republican candidates.
Brian Steel worked in Bill Clinton’s White House as a domestic policy adviser to Vice President Al Gore.
His White House gig was just one of three jobs that he held in the Clinton administration. He also worked in Clinton’s Department of Justice, where he served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Policy Development, and also worked as the associate director of the department’s Office of Public Affairs.

Amusing: Harvard debate team beaten by prison inmates...

The inmates were arguing the position that public schools should be allowed to turn away students whose parents came to the U.S. illegally.

A group of New York inmates has toppled Harvard’s prestigious debate team.
It took place at the Eastern New York Correctional Facility, a maximum-security prison in Napanoch. The Ivy League undergrads were invited last month to debate the inmates who take in-prison courses taught by Bard College faculty.
Harvard’s team won the national title this year and the world championship in 2014.

Fox claims they will use the same moderators for January GOP presidential debate...

Well, I for one won't be watching. If I were Donald Trump, I would boycott the debate.

Apparently, during the next round of GOP debates in September, the moderators will be Hugh Hewitt and CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Hewitt has already come out as not being a major Donald Trump supporter, as we learned on August 6 that neither was Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
A petition circulated to get Kelly removed from moderating any future debates after many felt she attacked the billionaire mogul, but I guess that won’t stop her from asking questions to all the candidates come January, 2016.

FNC has another debate scheduled in January before the Iowa caucuses and Kelly, “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier and “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace will be moderating again, a representative for the channel confirmed.

Donald Trump's lead over his Republican presidential rivals grew substantially in the days following the first GOP debate and his controversial comments about moderator Megyn Kelly.
Trump’s support increased by 7 points, to 32 percent, according to the latest Morning Consult tracking poll.The real estate mogul’s closest rival — former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush — lost 1 point, down to 11 percent support among self-identified Republicans and Republican-leaning independents.
Support for all other candidates was in the single digits in the poll.

I am guessing they lost some viewership as a result.

The Fox News debate was a pathetic reality TV show...

After watching the debate, do you really have a better understanding of where the candidates are on the important issues of the day and what they plan to do about them? I don't. I doubt anyone does. Instead of a serious debate on the issues, we got a lot of useless drama that was deliberately created by the Fox News moderators. They spent too much time talking and sometimes actually seemed to be debating the candidates themselves. They took each candidate's most vulnerable area, especially Trump, and conducted an inquisition. Does anyone really care what Donald Trump called Rosie O'Donnell or if some of his many companies failed in the past? Does it really matter if Jeb Bush was on the board of a foundation that in the past donated money to Planned Parenthood? No. Here are the issues on voters minds in 2015. The economy and jobs is top and some of the candidates tried to talk about their records, but this wasn't even a topic of the 9:00 PM debate.

What Fox News should have done is asked each candidate to respond to these question.

• What exactly will you do to create jobs and stimulate the economy?
• How would you change the tax code for businesses and individuals?
• Will you commit to ending Obamacare? How will you accomplish that goal? What, if anything, do you plan to replace it with?
• Is there any issue you feel strongly enough about to shut down the government to achieve it? 
• Will you vow to stamp out ISIS and how will you do it?
• What will you do about the Iran nuclear program and how will you rebuild our relationship with Israel?
• How will you secure the border and what will you do with the millions of illegal immigrants already here?
• What government programs would you cut to help balance the budget?
• What federal regulations would your repeal or modify?
• Do you believe recent climate change is mostly man-made or mostly natural and why? 

If we knew each candidate's position on those issues, we would be much better voters. Instead, we have been entertained. Fox News should be embarrassed. They are no longer journalists.
