Obama losing young white voters

If young voters are smart, they will join the Tea Party. Democrats are destroying their future with astronomical debt and intrusive government regulations.

Via NY Times:
In the four years since President Obama swept into office in large part with the support of a vast army of young people, a new corps of men and women have come of voting age with views shaped largely by the recession. And unlike their counterparts in the millennial generation who showed high levels of enthusiasm for Mr. Obama at this point in 2008, the nation’s first-time voters are less enthusiastic about him, are significantly more likely to identify as conservative and cite a growing lack of faith in government in general, according to interviews, experts and recent polls.
Polls show that Americans under 30 are still inclined to support Mr. Obama by a wide margin. But the president may face a particular challenge among voters ages 18 to 24. In that group, his lead over Mitt Romney — 12 points — is about half of what it is among 25- to 29-year-olds, according to an online survey this spring by the Harvard Institute of Politics. And among whites in the younger group, Mr. Obama’s lead vanishes altogether.
Among all 18- to 29-year-olds, the poll found a high level of undecided voters; 30 percent indicated that they had not yet made up their mind. And turnout among this group is expected to be significantly lower than for older voters.

Confirmed? Roberts Switched Vote On Obamacare.

There is now some confirmation that Chief Justice John Roberts switched his vote on Obamacare in what some are calling an attempts to reputation of the Supreme Court as nonpartisan. I say he caved in to Obama's pressure and further damaged the reputation of the Supreme Court. Roberts betrayed both the Constitution and Conservatives who gave him his job.

Via Beltway Confidential:
Chief Justice John Roberts voted against Obamacare, but then — in a move that angered his conservative colleagues — switched his vote as he became convinced that a 5-4 ruling against the law would damage the reputation of the Supreme Court.
Roberts and Justice Anthony Kennedy went through weeks of debate with each other, as Kennedy tried to convince Roberts to strike down the law and Roberts wrangled with Kennedy to create a 6-3 majority in support of the bill, “two sources with specific knowledge of the deliberations,” told CBS News.
That sequence of events tracks with the external debate about the bill after the court heard oral arguments in March. As observers concluded that the court would overturn the individual mandate, Democrats went on offense.

House Speaker John Boehner: Republicans are preparing to file a civil suit for 'Fast and Furious' documents

Look for Holder to stall, stall stall...
(ABC News) — House Speaker John Boehner said today that Republicans are preparing to file a civil suit in an attempt to gain access to more information pertaining to the Justice Department’s botched Fast & Furious drug cartel gun tracking program.
The planned civil suit, which comes on the heels of a letter sent by the Justice Department stating that the DOJ would not prosecute Attorney General Eric Holder following a House vote to hold him in criminal contempt of Congress.
“It’s not clear to me that the U.S. District Attorney will in fact, go down that path. That’s why we’re going to file, in District Court, a civil suit, over the issue of executive privilege,” Boehner said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
The Obama administration, in response to a request by Holder, asserted the right to executive privilege several weeks ago, in effect blocking Congressional access to documents pertaining the affair. . . .
“The American people have a right to know what happened,” Boehner said today. “Brian Terry’s family has a right to know what happened here.”

Obvious: Public Opinion of the Supreme Court Turns More Negative After Obamacare Ruling

Chief Justice Roberts caved to pressure from Obama and sided with he liberals in a 5-4 upholding of Obamacare. He wrote what must be the flimsiest decision ever by a Supreme Court Justice. He argues the government can't punish you with a penalty for inaction, but they can punish you with a tax. He then rewrote the penalty in Obamacare as a tax to help the Democrats out. Some have tried to defend him by claiming this was an attempt to uphold the reputation of the court as apolitical in the eyes of Americans. This Rasmussen Poll shows that strategy is complete failure.
Public opinion of the Supreme Court has grown more negative since the highly publicized ruling on the president’s health care law was released. A growing number now believe that the high court is too liberal and that justices pursue their own agenda rather than acting impartially.

A week ago,  36% said the court was doing a good or an excellent job. That’s down to 33% today. However, the big change is a rise in negative perceptions. Today, 28% say the Supreme Court is doing a poor job. That’s up 11 points over the past week.

The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on Friday and Saturday following the court ruling, finds that 56% believe justices pursue their own political agenda rather than generally remain impartial. That’s up five points from a week ago. Just half as many -- 27% -- believe the justices remain impartial. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

President Obama’s campaign fundraises off killer heat wave

Shameful...
President Obama’s campaign has issued increasingly urgent fundraising pleas, and the latest appears to capitalize on the record heat sweeping through the mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

“Keep cool while you’re canvassing this summer,” the Obama campaign tweeted Saturday evening. The message contained a link to a $30 Obama tank top. “Our Vote Obama Tank Top is a stylish and fun way to show your support,” the campaign says.

The campaign was pushing the tank tops as record heat combined with a loss of power following storms to create a humanitarian emergency in several states.

DHS to Border Agents: Run away if you encounter an “active shooter"

Will this encourage illegals yo shoot at Border Agents?
(Fox News) — Border Patrol agents in Arizona are blasting their bosses for telling them, along with all other Department of Homeland Security employees, to run and hide if they encounter an “active shooter.”

It’s one thing to tell civilian employees to cower under a desk if a gunman starts spraying fire in a confined area, say members of Tucson Local 2544/National Border Patrol Council, but to give armed law enforcement professionals the same advice is downright insulting. The instructions from DHS come in the form of pamphlets and a mandatory computer tutorial.

“We are now taught in an ‘Active Shooter’ course that if we encounter a shooter in a public place we are to ‘run away’ and ‘hide’” union leader Brandon Judd wrote on the website of 3,300-member union local. “If we are cornered by such a shooter we are to (only as a last resort) become ‘aggressive’ and ‘throw things’ at him or her. We are then advised to ‘call law enforcement’ and wait for their arrival (presumably, while more innocent victims are slaughtered).” [...]
