Joe Wilson: "I Am Not Apologizing Again... I Was Right" (Video)

Rep. Joe Wilson was on Fox News Sunday and he insists he was right. Nancy Pelosi want to hold a vote in the House to scold Joe Wilson if he does not apologize on the House floor. Based on the Friday night policy position change issued by the White House, President Obama is the one who should apologize.

The White House Agrees With Joe Wilson?

Rep. Joe Wilson said, "You lie!" when President Obama claimed illegal immigrants won't be able to participate in Obamacare. Several news organizations have fact checked Obama's statement and found it inaccurate. One of the main claims Wilson and other Republicans have been making is that there is no requirement for verification of citizenship status in the bills. Republicans had made several efforts to amend the bills for this requirement, but the amendments were voted down on straight party line votes. In a late afternoon policy dump, the White House is backing a provision that would require proof of citizenship before someone could enroll in a plan selected on the exchange.

From MSNBC First Read:
The bullet points sent tonight by the White House:

* Verification will be required when purchasing health insurance on the exchange. One option is the SAVE program (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) which states currently use to make sure that undocumented immigrants don't participate in safety-net programs for which they are ineligible.

Shocker: Rep. Joe Wilson Raises $700,000

Democrats crowed about how much money they had raised after Rep. Joe Wilson yelled, "You lie" during President Obama's health care speech to a joint session of Congress. It appears the outburst has been kind to Wilson's fund raising effort too.

In the wake of the controversy Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) sparked by shouting “You lie!” during President Barack Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, a Republican source said the Congressman had raised about $700,000 by Friday afternoon.

Update: The Washington Post is reporting $750,000.
