Pandering for the Hispanic Vote; Number of deportations drops by one third

President Obama is shoring up his Hispanic base by allowing more illegals to stay in this country.

Via LA Times:
The number of deportation cases filed by federal immigration officials dropped by nearly a third in the first three months of the fiscal year, according to a report by the Syracuse University Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse.
The drop recorded in the last three months of 2011 may reflect the Obama administration’s plan to focus its deportation efforts by weighing a variety of discretionary factors, including whether the person is a veteran, came to the U.S. as a child or is a college student, according to the report. Scarborough accuses Obama of never earning a paycheck from a profit making business(video)

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough accused Obama of never earning a paycheck from a profit making business.

Here is the video from MSNBC.(via YouTube)

Liberals were outraged and tried to find examples to refute that statement. Here is all thinkprogress.org could come up with.

– Business International Corp.: In 1984, Obama wrote for the publisher’s weekly newsletter, Business International Money Report, covering currency issues and monetary policy.

– Sidley Austin: Obama was a summer associate at the private law firm in 1989, where he was supervised by his future wife, Michelle.

– Hopkins & Sutter: Obama was a summer associate for the Chicago law firm in 1990.

– Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Gallard: Obama was hired by the private law firm in 1993, working on voting rights and civil rights but also real estate transactions and incorporation.

Obama had all this private-sector experience before earning millions writing two best-selling books..

When you have to resort to citing summer college jobs and books that were probably ghost written by someone else as your private business sector employment history, you might as well concede the point.
