Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, in a statement to Mediaite Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways.
. . . “And now, the IRS is being used in exactly the same
way as they tried to use the president’s birth certificate,” Bashir
said. “For Republicans like Darrell Issa, who knows something about arson, those three letters now stand for something inflammatory.”
“Republicans are using it as their latest weapon in the war against the black man in the White House,” he insisted.
It is important to remember, Martin Bashir isn't a political commentator. He is a news anchor. President Obama is one of the biggest liars on the planet. Why doesn't Bashir think Obama's Muslim Christian religion will condemn him to Hell?
“It doesn’t matter how many times he hears the truth, Mitt Romney prefers to tell lies,” Bashir said after castigating Mitt Romney as a liar three times.
“Which brings us to the moral codes of Mormonism that Mr. Romney claims to live by. In Section 63, in verse 17 of the Doctrine and Covenants of the Mormon Church we find this: ‘All liars, and whosoever loveth and and maketh a lie, and the whoremonger, and the sorcerer, shall have their part in that lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death.’
“And from the Book of Mormon to Nephi, Chapter 2, Verse 34 we find this: ‘Wo unto the liar, for he shall be thrust down to hell.’
“Given what the Book of Mormon is clearly saying, Mr. Romney has but two choices. He can either keep lying and potentially win the White House, but bring eternal damnation upon himself or he can start telling the truth. The question for him, I guess, is which is more important,” Bashir said on today’s broadcast of “Martin Bashir.”
BASHIR: Mr. Romney’s spokesperson has just said that he believes everyone needs to be civil. But no sign yet of him rejecting Nugent’s endorsement.
You have to hand it to Mitt and Ann Romney. Even their righteous indignation is as fake and as two-faced as everything else that marks their presidential campaign.
Ultra liberal Martin Bashir hit a new low on Tuesday, outrageously comparing Rick Santorum to mass-murdering dictator Joseph Stalin. In a fit of vitriol, the MSNBC anchor also connected the Republican to George Orwell’s Big Brother from 1984. However, the most repugnant moment came when Bashir spewed, “If you listen carefully to Rick Santorum, he sounds more like Stalin than Pope Innocent III.”
