Donald Trump is on course to run away with the Republican nomination for president, handily beating a pack of competitors by 27 points or more.
A Monmouth University poll released this afternoon shows him winning 41 percent of the vote to Ted Cruz’s 14 percent.
It’s the largest lead Trump has ever held in the race, and it comes as the candidates are making their way to Las Vegas, Nevada, for their final debate of year.
Nine candidates will face-off during the prime-time event, with Trump and Cruz at the center of it all.
