Will the U.S. become “al-Qaeda’s air force?”

Former congressman Dennis Kucinich is asking this question. Sadly, there are no good guys to support in Syria or much of the Middle East.

Via NRO:
Former congressman Dennis Kucinich (D., Ohio) said today that striking Syria would turn the United States military into “al-Qaeda’s air force.”
Kucinich, who voted against the Iraq War and campaigned for the Democratic nomination for president in 2004 and 2008, lambasted the idea that Obama could act without congressional authorization, which he said would be a violation of the Constitution. He also warned that intervening in Syria would entangle the United States in another war in the Middle East and encourage Islamists who are fighting the forces of Syrian president Bashar Assad.
“So what, we’re about to become al-Qaeda’s air force now?” Kucinich sarcastically asked The Hill.
He went on to warn against attempting to “minimize” an intervention by terming it a “targeted strike.” Such a strike, he said, would still constitute an act of war.

Liberals Fuming After Obama Takes Military Action in Libya

Liberal House Democrats aren't taking President Obama decision to authorize military action against Libya well. Dennis Kucinich is talking impeachment.
A hard-core group of liberal House Democrats is questioning the constitutionality of U.S. missile strikes against Libya, with one lawmaker raising the prospect of impeachment during a Democratic Caucus conference call on Saturday.

Reps. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.), Donna Edwards (Md.), Mike Capuano (Mass.), Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), Maxine Waters (Calif.), Rob Andrews (N.J.), Sheila Jackson Lee (Texas), Barbara Lee (Calif.) and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D.C.) “all strongly raised objections to the constitutionality of the president’s actions” during that call, said two Democratic lawmakers who took part.

Kucinich... asked why the U.S. missile strikes aren’t impeachable offenses. Read more here.

Liberal Heartache: Dem Dennis Kucinich Likely to Lose His House Seat After Redistricting

I am going to really miss this moonbat.
(CNN) – The state of Ohio will lose two congressional seats thanks to the latest U.S. Census figures, and liberal stalwart Dennis Kucinich is worried his seat is on the chopping block.

In an e-mail to supporters Wednesday, the seven-term Democratic congressman and two-time presidential candidate says the Republican-controlled Ohio legislature is likely to eliminate his heavily Democratic Cleveland-area district.

But Kucinich says he’s not just going to stand by while that happens...

Liberal Heartache: Lefty Dennis Kucinich Is Only Up By 4 Points in Latest Poll

Could it be true? Are Democrats so unpopular this year left-wing Dennis Kucinich could lose his normally very safe seat? The latest poll provides hope.

THE WEEKLY STANDARD reported:
The poll (based on a small but respectable 319 person sample, with a margin of error of 5.6 percent, weighted to eliminate gender bias) shows Kucinich ahead of his opponent, Peter Corrigan, by only 4 percent. The profile of undecided voters suggests they may break for Corrigan by about 3-2. And Corrigan’s 4 percent deficit turns into a 4 percent Corrigan lead when voters are given information on Kucinich’s ties to corrupt local Democratic leaders, and on Kucinich’s support for illegal immigration. These are signs that undecided voters could be pushed to go Corrigan’s way.
